The capture of Ulaping's Arm by Revan's Sith Empire was designed by Revan to persuade the Hutt Cartel to stay out of the Jedi Civil War. Commanded by the fallen Jedi Corthan Sevidage, the Sith fleet attacked the Hutt warlord Taica Gol'ayoord Wurvo on Ulaping'a Arm. The invasion was successful, destroying the five largest Hutt warships outside of Hutt Space and killing Taica in the process.

Prelude[]
Taica Gol'ayoord Wurvo of the Ulaping's Armm system contacted Jedi Master Vrook Lamar shortly after the Sith fleet invaded the Republic in 3,958 BBY. He allied himself with the Jedi and promised to bring the Hutts into the war on the side of the Republic. A Yahk-Tosh named Het-Koth informed the Mandalorian mercenary Kekkeshul Gell who was working as a Sith agent. Revan heard of the Hutt's treachery and sent a Centurion-class battlecruiser, the Knowledge of Andeddu, from the newly captured Allanteen system. The Jedi-turned-Sith Corthan Sevidage was in command of the Knowledge of Andeddu with orders to destroy Taica and his forces and then rejoin the main fleet in the Battle of Yag'Dhul.
The battle[]
Coming out of hyperspace near Ulaping's Arm, Sevidage immediately launched Sith starfighters while directing all fire at the nearest Zaydo-class ship, destroying it in a matter of seconds. However, the other four put up there shields and attacked the starfighters but were only able to destroy a few of them as they were too fast to be easily targeted. By the time the Hutt starfighters reached the fight, the Knowledge of Andeddu had destroyed another Zaydo-class ships and was attacking a third while the remaining two were having their shields overpowered by the swarm of Sith starfighters. The space battle was quickly won by the Sith and the surviving Hutt starfighters surrendered but Taica Gol'ayoord Wurvo was on the planet and defended by an army of mercenaries. Sevidage pressed the attack, sending his ground troops to the surface to battle the mercenaries. They first captured the factory district, a large manufacturing area that had been active for centuries before the Hutts arrived. Then they captured several key points in the mountains around the spaceport, which they shelled continually for three days until Taica surrendered.
Aftermath[]
The Sith experienced moderate casualties but many of the mercenaries and starfighter pilots previously working for Taica defected, more than making up for the losses. Sevidage had the Hutt publicly executed and Ulaping's Arm began a legacy of being loyal to the Sith that lasted over three thousand years.
