The Caf satellite galaxy was a satellite galaxy located near the Central Galaxy. It was first discovered in 808 ABY by a team of Corellian explorers and would be settled later that year. It contained no native intelligent life and just a handful of animal species. It was relatively close in proximity to the Central Galaxy and was also fairly small. Caf held only about 300 habitable star systems. In 1,398 ABY, on the 500-year anniversary of the galaxy's discovery, the Caf Alliance was formed to govern the galaxy's affairs. In 1,405, the alliance would join the Universal Republic, marking the first time groups from two separate galaxies allied as equals.
