Cabl Besnasc was a male Rybet Sith Lord who served the New Sith Empire. He was a junior member of Sith Overlord Vedya Gasald's advisory council, where he had responsibility for special taxation and conscription of civilian resources; he sometimes skimmed additional profits for himself, but always at the expense of the citizenry rather than his master. He had a number of Sith Acolytes and dark side adepts in his service, but no junior Sith Lords.
Besnasc was present in a minor command capacity (directing a flotilla of a dozen ships) at the Battle of Eriadu, after which he met Darshkére. He was not entirely thrilled with Darshkére's anointing as a Sith Lord and elevation to Gasald's council in the span of two months, but he was genial in associating with Darshkére, both to size the other Sith up and out of genuine good humor after Eriadu. His humor soured at the Battle of Allanteen, where Gasald's Kiss of Death was destroyed, taking most of her inner circle with her; as one of the seniormost Sith left alive, Besnasc ordered a retreat to Chardaan, then down the Hydian Way.
As the dozen Sith Lords who had survived Allanteen rendezvoused with Darshkére at Eriadu, Besnasc feared the Council of Five would seek one of the survivors to blame for the debacle, though he hoped to pass blame onto the late Darth Kra'all. When the Sith met in council, the other Lords rejected Besnasc's plan to hunker down in place; already annoyed, Besnasc was initially unnerved by the proposal that they elect one of their own as the new Overlord. However, when the clear weight of support fell to Darshkére, Besnasc saw a viable chance to return to their own territory and a new candidate to draw the Council's wrath, so he voted for Darshkére and pledged his fealty as well.
Besnasc initially supported Darshkére, who managed Operation Back Door almost flawlessly, but soured on the new Overlord as Darshkére appeared to lose both battles and territory in the Southeast Mid Rim Campaign. When he discovered Darshkére smuggling resources back to Eriadu, he concluded Darshkére intended to abscond from the Empire with his new resources. Besnasc tried to recruit Misen Deech into informing the Council of Five, though Deech was noncommittal.
In the prelude to the Battle of Llanic, Besnasc decided not to go to Darshkére's aid when called, instead fleeing to the rest of the Empire with the fleet entrusted to his command. Mosef Aldelkeugh opposed him and Deech was ambivalent, but Teyjean, who had been hidden aboard Besnasc's command cruiser, killed him and took the fleet to Llanic, where Darshkére won the battle and killed Kussam Bnodd.
