CT-7567 was a clone trooper captain, better known as "Rex", serving as a captain in the Grand Army of the Republic. He was born as a clone from Jango Fett on Kamino.
Biography[]
Mission to Belsavis[]
Rex accompanied Master Kenobi, Skywalker and Padawan Tano to Belsavis, along with a clone trooper task force to investigate the Separatist presence on the planet and the disappearance of the mission group of the Hutt Cartel. Arriving there, Rex took a squad of troopers to scout the surroundings and was the first to uncover the entrance to the underground caverns.
After returning from his scouting mission, he informed Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka and Clone Commander Cody about their findings, reporting about the suspicious entrance to the caverns found and Obi-Wan decided that a group had to be send to search those caverns. Anakin and Ahsoka volunteered and Rex immediately agreed to accompany them, along with a squad of troopers, including Jesse, Kix and Lixic. Avoiding being seen by a nest of gundarks, they made it to the entrance, dubbed "the Gate" by Kix. Setting on the lights, Rex and his men moved into the gate's corridor down to the underground caverns.
Exploring the underground cavern network, the probe droids that Rex ordered to be set up were lost and the front group of clone troopers were swept away by a mutated gundark, glowing with the aura of the dark side. Initially taken by surprise, Rex and his troops along with Anakin and Ahsoka fight and kill the mutated Gundark. Moving forward through the cavern network, they end up in a large chamber. Setting up camp there, once more Jesse releases another set of probe droids to scout the era. Rex and Anakin start working on a plan to find out more about the network they are in now and send a trooper back up to tell Obi-Wan about what they found.
At that moment, Rex and his troops notice there is no reaction coming from the probe droids. Deciding on what to do, Rex notices movement and reaches for his weapon, when the group is attacked by a droid. Heavily armed, the droid takes out almost half of the clone troopers there. When Rex attempts to find Anakin and Ahsoka, he finds them being attacked by an unknown person using a crimson-red lightsaber. While the droid retreats after attacking most of the clone troopers the unknown person keeps his attack against Anakin and Ahsoka. Attempting to help, Rex gets caught in a cave-in created by the person.
