CT-441, more commonly known by his nickname Famine, was a clone trooper in the 666th Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars and a member of the Four troopers of the apocalypse.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Like all early clones, CT-441 was created on Kamino, where he went through basic training. He was noted as having the highest marksmanship in his cadet group upon graduating, along with fellow clone CT-1346. Upon graduating, they were both assigned to the 666th Legion under Jedi Master Urde Ra'akdoon.
First Battle of Geonosis[]
CT-441 was a part of the contingency of the legion that joined in the First Battle of Geonosis, where he flew in on a gunship with a part of the legion to take control of a droid factory on the surface of Geonosis. After landing, he helped neutralise the anti-aircraft guns defending the outside of the factory, however in the process his blaster rifle was damaged beyond repair and he sought out Ra'akdoon on what to do. Without time to search for a replacement, Ra'akdoon grabbed the nearest weapon he could find and handed it to the clone, unknowingly giving him a Number 66 Charged Ion Disruptor, the weapon that would become CT-441's primary and signature weapon, and told him that he was one of the legion's new snipers. Ra'akdoon kept him close as they stormed the factory, finding it strangely deserted.
Together with Ra'akdoon, CT-1945 and CT-1346, he headed into the factory to find the control room, only to find a surgical room with a clone Lieutenant in it, who had memory loss. The room was destroyed by the beginning of a Separatist counter-attack, however he was not hurt, and continued with Ra'akdoon and the clones, along with the new lieutenant to find the control room.
They found the control room and despite Ra'akdoons attempts at negotiation, the Geonosians attempted to resist their arrest and were killed by the group. He was then involved in the defence of the factory, using his rotary blaster and missile launcher to defend the factory and cut down droids until a squadron of BTL-B Y-wing starfighter/bomber disrupted the assault. After the battle, the trooper returned to the legion's fleet in orbit as fresh men came down to keep the factory under guard.
On the legion's flagship, the Infiltrator, Ra'akdoon gathered him along with CT-1945 and CT-1346 to head to the Venator's medbay and see a wounded clone trooper, CT-476, who Ra'akdoon used the Force to stop dying. With them all together, he asked them to be his bodyguard unit, giving them all unique nicknames, with CT-441 being given the nickname of Disease. The four of them agreed to become the Four troopers of the apocalypse, happy with their role and nicknames.
Armor and equipment[]
Like all clone troopers, CT-1346 wore the usual clone armor but daubed in legion colors. He initially carried a DC-15A blaster rifle, though after it was rendered damaged, he was given his distinctive Number 66 Charged Ion Disruptor instead. Like all other clones, he carried Grenades, which could include Thermal detonators or Electro Magnetic Pulse grenades.
Behind the scenes[]
- His nickname, 'Famine', is a reference to the first recorded famine in Ancient Rome in 441 BC.
