CT-1945, more commonly known by his nickname War, was a clone trooper in the 666th Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars and a member of the Four troopers of the apocalypse.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Like all early clones, CT-1945 was created on Kamino, where he went through basic training before being assigned to a clone legion to serve under a Jedi. During his training, he was noted to have a great affinity for blaster weaponry and was an expert with any and all types of weapons given to him during training. Assigned as a Heavy weapons clone trooper, he went to serve in a clone legion.
Getting into trouble[]
However, whilst there, he proved too keen to get into action and his love for destruction, heavy weapons and blasters in general resulted in an accidental misfire of a missile launcher whilst he was using it, causing numerous casualties and destroying several vehicles in a chain explosion. He was quickly detained and options were discussed on how to deal with him. It was decided that he was defective, and was going to be "destroyed" as a result.
Recruitment by Urde Ra'akdoon[]
Removed from his clone legion and placed with various other "defective" clones who were going to be "disposed of", CT-1945 was going to be killed until Jedi Master Urde Ra'akdoon heard of this group of clones and forged documents to place them under his command. With these documents, Ra'akdoon recruited CT-1945 and the other clones into the 666th Legion.
Your ferocity with your rotary cannon and affinity for weapons served you well over the battle, with your loyalty and bravery both to myself and your comrades is something we should all aspire to. You are the embodiment of war, and from now on, you can wear that with pride
—Urde Ra'akdoon giving CT-1945 his nickname
First Battle of Geonosis[]
CT-1945 was a part of the contingency of the legion that joined in the First Battle of Geonosis, where he flew in on a gunship with a part of the legion to take control of a droid factory on the surface of Geonosis. Armed once again with a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon, he aided the legion in clearing out the outer defences when an IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tank rolled out from the factory. Ra'akdoon gave him a missile launcher and, after learning he was proficient with it, ordered him to destroy the tank, which he did to great effect. Ra'akdoon kept him close as they stormed the factory, finding it strangely deserted.
The clone saved Ra'akdoon's life when he jumped and pushed the two of them to the side to avoid a shot from a droid sniper, hurriedly destroying the droid and apologising to Ra'akdoon. Moments later, Ra'akdoon repaid the favor by using the Force to pull him out of the way of a rocket from a B2-series super battle droid as droids poured out from deeper within the factory. Together with Ra'akdoon, CT-1346 and CT-441, he headed into the factory to find the control room, only to find a surgical room with a clone Lieutenant in it, who had memory loss. The room was destroyed by the beginning of a Separatist counter-attack, however he was not hurt, and continued with Ra'akdoon and the clones, along with the new lieutenant to find the control room.
They found the control room and despite Ra'akdoons attempts at negotiation, the Geonosians attempted to resist their arrest and were killed by the group. He was then involved in the defence of the factory, using his rotary blaster and missile launcher to defend the factory and cut down droids until a squadron of BTL-B Y-wing starfighter/bomber disrupted the assault. After the battle, the trooper returned to the legion's fleet in orbit as fresh men came down to keep the factory under guard.
On the legion's flagship, the Infiltrator, Ra'akdoon gathered him along with CT-1346 and CT-411 to head to the Venator's medbay and see a wounded clone trooper, CT-476, who Ra'akdoon used the Force to stop dying. With them all together, he asked them to be his bodyguard unit, giving them all unique nicknames, with CT-1945 being given the nickname of War. The four of them agreed to become the Four troopers of the apocalypse, happy with their role and nicknames.
Order 66[]
CT-1945 was in the bridge of the Infiltrator II when Order 66 was issued. Together with his fellow troopers on the bridge, they started to turn on two of the Jedi there, Jedi Knight Seculoo Onderas and her Padawan Gurtaka Kida. However, he was stopped from doing so by Ra'akdoon, who used the Force to disarm him before throwing him against the wall, knocking him out. Ra'akdoon prevented the Jedi from killing him and the other troopers on the bridge that he managed to knock out, and whilst he was unconscious, he was tied up, just in case he came to. He remained unconscious whilst the fleet travelled to Coruscant to retrieve the Jedi's belonging, and on their way to the Outer Rim Territories, he was untied and awoke, confused and angry.
When Ra'akdoon figured out what caused the clones to turn on the Jedi, he got CT-1945 to the medbay under the guise of needing a medical scan. Whilst he was on the operating table, a medical droid removed his control chip, and upon its successful removal, he had memory loss and a sense of relief, but from what he did not know. When Ra'akdoon informed him of what happened, he was confused and concerned for the Jedi, expressing relief that Seculoo and Gurtaka were safe. He also expressed concern upon hearing that the Clone Wars was over and what the future of both himself and the legion would be.
Ra'akdoon informed him that he intended to perform the same operation on the rest of the clones in the legion, he was enthusiastic and agreed he help round up clones and bring them into the medbay for the operation. Once it was all done, he was present at Ra'akdoon's speech to the clones in the hangar, and was hopeful for the future of his impromptu retirement. He was made a team leader and put in charge of constructing a part of the farm on Tokanga III.
Armor and equipment[]
Like all clone troopers, CT-1945 wore the usual clone armor but daubed in legion colors. He carried his distinctive Z-6 rotary blaster cannon as his primary weapon but always had a missile launcher on his back for when vehicles were encountered or if something needed demolishing. However, he was highly skilled in using most other weapons and so could easily pick up a different blaster weapon and use it should his main cannon be rendered unusable for whatever reason. Like all other clones, he carried Grenades, which could include Thermal detonators or Electro Magnetic Pulse grenades.
Behind the scenes[]
- His nickname, 'War', is a reference to the end of WWII in 1945 AD and the only nuclear strikes carried out, mimicking the clone's affinity for all weapons.
