CT-1346, more commonly known by his nickname Disease, was a clone trooper in the 666th Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars and a member of the Four troopers of the apocalypse.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Like all early clones, CT-1346 was created on Kamino, where he went through basic training. He was noted as having the highest marksmanship in his cadet group upon graduating, along with fellow clone CT-441. Upon graduating, they were both assigned to the 666th Legion under Jedi Master Urde Ra'akdoon.

First Battle of Geonosis[]

CT-1346 was a part of the contingency of the legion that joined in the First Battle of Geonosis, where he flew in on a gunship with a part of the legion to take control of a droid factory on the surface of Geonosis. After landing, he helped neutralise the anti-aircraft guns defending the outside of the factory, however in the process his blaster rifle was damaged beyond repair and he sought out Ra'akdoon on what to do. Without time to search for a replacement, Ra'akdoon grabbed the nearest weapon he could find and handed it to the clone, unknowingly giving him a Number 66 Charged Ion Disruptor, the weapon that would become CT-1346's primary and signature weapon, and told him that he was one of the legion's new snipers. Ra'akdoon kept him close as they stormed the factory, finding it strangely deserted.

Together with Ra'akdoon, CT-1945 and CT-441, he headed into the factory to find the control room, only to find a surgical room with a clone Lieutenant in it, who had memory loss. The room was destroyed by the beginning of a Separatist counter-attack, however he was not hurt, and continued with Ra'akdoon and the clones, along with the new lieutenant to find the control room.

They found the control room and despite Ra'akdoons attempts at negotiation, the Geonosians attempted to resist their arrest and were killed by the group. He was then involved in the defence of the factory, using his rotary blaster and missile launcher to defend the factory and cut down droids until a squadron of BTL-B Y-wing starfighter/bomber disrupted the assault. After the battle, the trooper returned to the legion's fleet in orbit as fresh men came down to keep the factory under guard.

On the legion's flagship, the Infiltrator, Ra'akdoon gathered him along with CT-1945 and CT-411 to head to the Venator's medbay and see a wounded clone trooper, CT-476, who Ra'akdoon used the Force to stop dying. With them all together, he asked them to be his bodyguard unit, giving them all unique nicknames, with CT-1346 being given the nickname of Disease. The four of them agreed to become the Four troopers of the apocalypse, happy with their role and nicknames.

Order 66[]

CT-1346 was in the bridge of the Infiltrator II when Order 66 was issued. Together with his fellow troopers on the bridge, they started to turn on two of the Jedi there, Jedi Knight Seculoo Onderas and her Padawan Gurtaka Kida. However, he was stopped from doing so by Ra'akdoon, who used the Force to disarm him before throwing him against the wall, knocking him out. Ra'akdoon prevented the Jedi from killing him and the other troopers on the bridge that he managed to knock out, and whilst he was unconscious, he was tied up, just in case he came to. He remained unconscious whilst the fleet travelled to Coruscant to retrieve the Jedi's belonging, and on their way to the Outer Rim Territories, he was untied and awoke, confused and angry.

When Ra'akdoon figured out what caused the clones to turn on the Jedi, he got CT-1346 to the medbay under the guise of needing a medical scan. Whilst he was on the operating table, a medical droid removed his control chip, and upon its successful removal, he had memory loss and a sense of relief, but from what he did not know. When Ra'akdoon informed him of what happened, he was confused and concerned for the Jedi, expressing relief that Seculoo and Gurtaka were safe. He also expressed concern upon hearing that the Clone Wars was over and what the future of both himself and the legion would be.

Ra'akdoon informed him that he intended to perform the same operation on the rest of the clones in the legion, he was enthusiastic and agreed he help round up clones and bring them into the medbay for the operation. Once it was all done, he was present at Ra'akdoon's speech to the clones in the hangar, and was hopeful for the future of his impromptu retirement. He was made a team leader and put in charge of constructing a part of the farm on Tokanga III.

Armor and equipment[]

Like all clone troopers, CT-1346 wore the usual clone armor but daubed in legion colors. He initially carried a DC-15A blaster rifle, though after it was rendered damaged, he was given his distinctive Number 66 Charged Ion Disruptor instead. Like all other clones, he carried Grenades, which could include Thermal detonators or Electro Magnetic Pulse grenades.
