Lives, credits, starships, doesn't matter. Whatever gets the mission done.
—Vill

CC-9779, nicknamed Vill, was a Clone trooper Commander that fought in the Galactic Republic's Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, and was later part of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army. He commanded the 302nd Division and their armor had similar designs to that of the Wolfpack. Vill served reluctantly under Jedi Master Lee Terence during the Clone Wars and had pleasure trying to kill him during Order 66. However, the Jedi got away and led a rebellion against the clones, though it was quickly crushed. Vill was a veteran clone commander and seen action since the Battle of Geonosis on the desert world of Geonosis at the dawn of the Clone Wars, so after the rise of the Empire Darth Vader called upon him and Commander Bly, another experienced commander, to be in charge of the Jedi Purge operations.

Vill was a loyal commander to the Republic/Empire and executed every order without question. He didn't like the Jedi very much since he thought it was pathetic how they were just peacekeepers and so he looked forward to the day when Order 66 came. Vill was known by other clone commanders to be a cold person. He carried out every mission and every order no matter the cost. His only two friends where CC-8826, Neyo, and CC-1138, Bacara. After Order 66, Vill gladly supported Galactic Emperor Palpatine's rule. After the formation of the Galactic Alliance and New Republic, Vill thought that they were just pathetic shadows of the old Empire.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Vill was born on the Wild Space aquatic world of Kamino, being one of the millions of clones the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. He was not originally supposed to be part of the clone commander program but was enrolled in it after demonstrating commander worthy skills. It was then when he met fellow commander Neyo of the 91st Reconnaissance Corps, who shared the same personality.

Vill and Neyo undertook extensive and intense training during their first years at the Tipoca City Military Complex. Several years into the program, they met fellow commander Bacara, who also had the same personality, and the three got along fine. After several more years of training, they got assigned to their divisions that they commanded, Vill got the 302nd Division while Neyo got the 91st Reconnaissance Corps and Bacara got the 21st Nova Corps and the Galactic Marines.

Vill, Neyo and Bacara were shipped off to distant worlds in the Outer Rim Territories, but were first used on Geonosis at the legendary Battle of Geonosis at the dawn of the Clone Wars.

Geonosis[]

Don't worry, the CIS artillery droids aren't good enough to hit anything.
—Vill reassuring his squad on Geonosis

Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi discovered a hidden droid factory used by the newly formed Confederacy of Independent Systems on the desert world of Geonosis. Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Galactic Senator Padme Amidala got Kenobi's distress message and broke orders and went to the world to help the captured Jedi Knight, but were also captured. A Jedi Strike team was sent, and was outnumbered, but Jedi Master Yoda led Vill and the other clone troopers to the planet in a rescue mission.

When Vill and his squad disembarked the gunship, they took over the top observation box of the Geonosis Arena, and sniped droids from above. They then finished off the droids in the arena and headed outside for the main battle. Thousands of droids charged at the Clone troopers. Vill and the squad attacked one of the nearest command posts that was preventing from Gunships with more clones and Jedi to land, so they captured it which made it able for the Republic to get reinforcements.

Suddenly, large artillery missiles crashed around his squad, but Vill reassured them by telling them that the droid gunners weren't smart enough to hit anything, which turned out to be true as the battle concluded. Kenobi and Anakin dueled a Confederate leader named Count Dooku, and lost. Yoda and a gunship full of clones arrived to help, and those clones were the 302nd led by Vill. Even though the 302nd was assigned to Master Terence during the battle, they stayed away from him most of the fight. After that, the battle concluded with a Republic victory.

Mon Calamari[]

Commander Vill and another 302nd SCUBA trooper on Mon Cal

After the Republic victory on Geonosis, the CIS decided to attack the important aquatic Outer Rim Territories world of Mon Calamari to avenge the droids and officers they lost on Geonosis. They made a deal with the Quarren on the planet, and the Quarrens shut down the planetary shield generator, allowing the Separatist fleet to land troops on the world. The Mon Cal tried to hold off but weren't doing very good, so they called Outer Rim Command for reinforcements, and command sent the nearest unit they could scramble: the 302nd.

The 302nd was led by Vill and Terence, and landed at the second biggest floating Mon Cal city, because the first (the capitol) was one of the first cities taken over by the oncoming CIS Aqua Droids. The men of the 302nd, including Vill, changed into SCUBA trooper armor to be able to go under water and fight. The first wave of CIS droids came shortly after their arrival. The Aqua Droids came out of the murky ocean depths and took the eastern docks of the city, and killed many civilians. Vill and his men responded and fought back, killing many of the Aqua droids, who were reinforced by Super Battle Droids who were dropped off at the docks via Separatist gunships. Vill and his men held them off long enough for Master Terence and several other Jedi to arrive, who ended the droids' crusade into the city.

The second assault was the last, and was launched by the Republic at the CIS stronghold near the capitol. Vill lead his men in a forward attack, quickly overrunning the ocean defenses around the stronghold. Vill used his rocket launcher and destroyed the CIS turrets atop the walls, and his men charged into the facility and took out the wall defense, allowing more troops to come in. In a matter of minutes, the stronghold was theirs.

Kesh[]

After the victory on the aquatic world of Mon Cal, Vill was promoted to the status of Advanced Recon Commando and was sent with the rest of the 302nd to the world of Kesh, where the 302nd was headquartered. The world was under attack by CIS forces. Vill was the commander in charge, and two extra units, the 90th Strategic Warfare Battalion, and the 233rd Regiment.

As the 90th and the 233rd set up temporary headquarters, Vill plotted the main defense with Hammer and Havoc, the 90th captain and the 233rd major. The 302nd, 90th and 233rd bases were located in a field in front of a very steep mountain range where there was only one narrow pass to come through, called Half Axe Pass. The CIS staging ground and base was located on the other side of the pass. Half of the 90th and a quarter of the 233rd men were placed on the pass cliff tops, while the entire 302nd, half of the 60th, and most of the 233rd, would make their stand on the valley floor against the CIS forces.

The CIS troops came through the valley exactly how Vill, Hammer and Havoc planned. The wall troops opened fire from the cliff tops, distracting them, while the front linesmen charged, led by Vill and Havoc. The droid waves were quickly over run, and soon tanks came in to support the troops and the droid vehicles were disabled by them. The CIS forces began to retreat, but the 302nd's Nimbus fighters bombed the staging ground, destroying the retreat ships. Then, the Keshiki rebels came out of the woods near the CIS base and defeated the retreating CIS forces.

Order 66[]

Commanders, execute Order 66!
—Vill yelling to the other two officers

As the Jedi Masters of the three battalions discussed their next plans, the three clone officers got Order 66, which branded Jedi as traitors. The three clones killed the three Jedi, much to the dismay of the Keshiki rebels, who recovered Terence and nursed him back to health, and planned an attack on the 302nd forces, since the 90th and 233rd troops were ordered by Darth Vader to abandon the planet and let the 302nd handle the rebels, but Vader called in CC-2009 and the Rancor Contingent, a unit of ARC troopers, to help.

Half Axe Pass[]

Later, the clones attacked Half Axe Pass, where the CIS holdouts and the Keshiki rebels were holding out. The battle was quick, as the rebels and droids were no match for clone troopers and ARC troopers. The Jedi and one of the rebels survived, and escaped, and Vill led the division to the space port, where they probably went. But it was too late and the Jedi escaped.

Csilla[]

After the battle of Half Axe Pass, Darth Vader came and picked up the 302nd division and gave them a new mission: they were part of the security detail of a secret project going on in the Unknown Regions, mainly on the worlds of Csilla and Lehon.

Vill and his men were stationed on the ice world of Csilla, though they did not know what the project was, and were stationed in a large smelting facility, that melted down metal collected from the planet's cities and turned them into ore, and sent them to a large factory, which they were not allowed to go inside of.

Hoth[]

Vill4

Vill in Snowtrooper armor leading his squad on Hoth

After the important mission in the Unknown Regions, Vill and his men donned Snowtrooper armor and were sent to fight alongside members of the 501st Legion and the Blizzard Force. They were to attack the main base from head on. Four AT-ATs were given to Vill to transport his men, and Vill lead them from his walker, while three lieutenants drove the other three walkers.

When they got near the base, they opened fire from walker guns at the defending troopers, who posed no threat to them. The snowspeeders were all near the other side of the base fighting off Blizzard Force walkers, so the only thing close to a threat were the ground cannons, which were easily destroyed.

Vill's troops then reached a mountainside outpost which had a tunnel leading inside Echo Base, so he lead a strike team through the tunnel to the base, while his AT-ATs continued to the base and took out any defenses along the way. The tunnel had a few workers, troopers and pilots in it scrambling to their stations, but Vill and the others silenced them easily.

The tunnel ended in the hangar, and they killed all the pilots and troopers there, and destroyed and remaining snowspeeders. Soon, the Blizzard Force and 501st troops got there.

Cloud City[]

After Hoth, Vill was called back with his men to the Executor and they found out that the Rebel leaders were headed to Cloud City, a large city floating above the gas giant Bespin. After they got there, Vill was with Vader when he forced the city's administrator, Lando Calrissian, to lead Leia Organa Solo, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the two droids, and Luke Skywalker into a trap in the city. Lando was forced to agree.

Later, after they captured the Rebel leaders, Vill was present at the carbonite freezing area when Han Solo was encased and handed to Boba Fett for him to deliver the bounty hunter to Jabba the Hutt. Vill was later with Vader when the group escaped.

Endor[]

Later after the Battle of Hoth and the Occupation of Cloud City, Vill and his men were stationed on the forest moon of Endor as part of the elite legion of troops that was used to trap the Rebel soldiers.

Personality[]

Vill was described by many other commanders and other officers that he had a cold heart. He didn't care what it took to get the mission done, whatever helped him get the mission done. He also had a hatred for Jedi. Vill thought they were pathetic for using their powers for mere peacekeeping, and looked forward to the day when he received Order 66. His only two friends were Commanders Neyo and Bacara, who both had a similar personality.
