When her death came, I hoped it was quick. She earned that much.
—Typhuss
CC-2009, nicknamed Typhuss, was a clone marshal commander, who became an Advanced Recon Commando before the Battle of Kamino. He commanded the 52nd Star Corps during the Clone Wars, and also served in the 501st Legion from the Battle of Kamino, leaving it in 19 BBY after the Battle of Coruscant. Typhuss apparently knew about Project 239, a top-secret Republic project to develop transporter technology. Following Order 66, Typhuss joined the Galactic Empire, in 19 BBY Typhuss rejoined the 501st Legion. But later betrayed it and transferred his allegiance to the Brotherhood of Loyalists, although he later returned to the Galactic Empire after Coruscant Guard Commander Fox showed him two dead 52nd troopers after the battle on Ando Prime, which convinced him that it was an error to join the Brotherhood. During the Rebel attack on Kamino, Typhuss and a squad of Stormtroopers fought against Rebel commandos and Rebel troopers, killing many of them. Later Typhuss served in the New Republic, the Galactic Alliance and the Confederation of Free Planets, still wearing his clone trooper armor. Typhuss met a Twi'lek named Leeta, whom he married in 22 BBY, on Naboo. In 7 ABY, Leeta was visiting her family on Ryloth when a Corellian fighter crashed and destroyed their house after losing a dogfight with a LAAT gunship, supposedly killing her and her family. Typhuss took her death hard after a battle on Ryloth. Several days later Leeta was found alive by Theeda Marson, a Confederate Intelligence agent. In 15 ABY, Typhuss's son Jonathan Heron was born on Ryloth. In 15 ABY, after landing on Ryloth, Typhuss and the others found the base. After killing the guards, they freed Leeta and Tarna, and several other Twi'leks and stormtroopers. Typhuss and Fox stayed behind to destroy the reactor core. They were able to destroy the reactor core and were killed.
Biography[]
Training on Kamino[]
Typhuss was born on Kamino in 32 BBY. Typhuss was one of the millions of clones of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, a Mandalorian bounty hunter. CC-2009 was a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic's Delta Squad, a unit of clone cadets. During his tenure in the squad, his fellow cadets, Riker, Jack, Dax and Harry became acquainted with CC-2009, and they began to call him Typhuss. Within Kamino's Tipoca City military complex, around 22 BBY, Typhuss and the other Delta Squad members trained under Commander Tucker. Tucker oversaw the clone cadets practice in combat simulations, which placed them head-to-head with battle droids. As the battle droids' weapons, as well as their own weapons were not lethal, no clone could be injured during one of their simulations. Despite this, all clone cadet squads had to work as a team to successfully pass the simulation. Tucker selected Delta Squad to first perform the final challenge, as the squad's cadets had completed their trial run in record time—"ARC trooper time," as Tucker saw it. From an observation platform overlooking the practice chamber, the Commander instructed the Arcona trainer El-Les to initiate version THX, variable 1138, of the citadel challenge. Delta Squad's performance in the test greatly impressed Tucker, who congratulated the instructors on their training of the cadets. After they passed the Citadel Challenge, they graduated from their training and were sent to Geonosis in time to rescue the Jedi strike team.
Clone Wars (22 BBY–19 BBY)[]
Battle of Geonosis[]
Victory? Victory, you say? Master Obi-Wan, not victory. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun, the Clone War has.
—Yoda after the Battle of Geonosis
In 22 BBY, when the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems broke out on the Outer Rim Territories planet Geonosis, Typhuss served in the ensuing battle. During the battle, Typhuss, Alpha Company and the 52nd Star Corps were ordered to march directly into the withering fire of Separatist spider droids. The corps was almost completely wiped out, and Typhuss risked his life to stay behind in a shallow bomb crater, tending to two critically injured soldiers, CC-1943, nicknamed Jack and CC-1009, nicknamed Worf. He defended their position as spider droids passed overhead until a rescue casevac team arrived three hours later. After his men were rescued, Typhuss received a medal and a new mission.
Battle of Ryloth[]
Later, the Republic decided to liberate the Twi'lek inhabitants of the planet Ryloth, who were being oppressed by Techno Union Foreman and Separatist member Wat Tambor. After General Skywalker and his Padawan, Commander Ahsoka Tano, managed to destroy the Separatist blockade surrounding the planet, the invasion forces were able to move in. Aboard an Acclamator assault ship, Typhuss and Cody boarded the Crumb Bomber with General Kenobi and Ghost Company, and the gunships took off to land in Nabat. Kenobi explained to Ghost Company that they had come to aid the Twi'leks, not destroy their home, and Cody instructed his men to utilize blasters and droid poppers only. However, after proton cannons from below attacked the Acclamator transports above, General Mace Windu tasked Obi-Wan and his men with destroying the cannons so that the transports could land. After destroying the droids in a bunker on the outskirts of the village, Obi-Wan and the clones entered the city and set up a temporary camp. Cody went with Typhuss, Wooley, Waxer and Boil to scout ahead, and after he and Wooley went to investigate the courtyard, they discovered that the Twi'leks were being held hostage. After Cody reported their findings back to Obi-Wan and Mace, Obi-Wan decided to continue with the plan; the prisoners would make it difficult, but not impossible.
Cody noticed the prolonged absence of Waxer and Boil, and sent a transmission to them before they moved out. Upon reentering the city, the group was attacked by gutkurrs, but Obi-Wan managed to lure the creatures with the Force into an alley. He instructed Cody, Typhuss and his men to fire at a bridge above the entrance to the alley, and the creatures were trapped. After Obi-Wan jumped over the rubble, Cody handed him back his lightsaber. Waxer and Boil them emerged out of an underground tunnel with the young Twi'lek girl Numa. Cody was initially displeased with their absence, but after he learned of their discovery of the tunnels, he softened up a bit. Cody led a diversion to distract the droids, while Obi-Wan went with Waxer, Boil and Numa through the tunnels to free the Twi'lek hostages. After everyone was in position, Cody led the attack, and Obi-Wan was able to free the prisoners. After heavy fire from the AATs began to harass them, Cody ordered his men to fall back, and the droids pursued them. However, the tactical droid commander TX-20 was alerted to the rescue, and after Obi-Wan managed to destroy the proton cannons with the help of Waxer and Boil, the tactical droid's tank attacked them. Before TX-20 could destroy Obi-Wan and Numa, however, the former Twi'lek prisoners overran the tank and destroyed the droid. Mace and the transports were then able to land, and the Republic forces headed to the capital city of Lessu to retake it and free the planet. Cody, Typhuss and General Kenobi led their forces and took the Jixuan desert, thus securing Ryloth's southern hemisphere for the Republic.
Marriage (22 BBY)[]
Directly after the Battle of Ryloth, Leeta was transported back to the Jedi Temple alongside the wounded Typhuss. Leeta then married Typhuss at Varykino on Naboo in a secret ceremony performed by Maxiron Agolerga, the Pontifex of the Brotherhood of Cognizance. Dax and Jack were the only witnesses to the wedding, though Typhuss never publicly took his new wife's name. The newly married couple would struggle to keep their relationship secret.
Battle of Orto Plutonia[]
Later in the conflict, Typhuss accompanied Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in their mission to Orto Plutonia to investigate the destruction of a clone security base. After war was declared between the local Talz and the Pantoran dignitaries, specifically the arrogant Chairman Chi Cho, Rex and Typhuss were ordered to protect Chairman Cho at all costs. The Chairman then ordered Rex and Typhuss to attack the Talz when they approached them, but Rex stated that they were only there to protect him. However, Typhuss and Rex were forced to attack when narglatch-mounted Talz cavalry attacked them, and the Chairman was severely injured. Rex and Typhuss carried him to safety, holding off the attacking Talz until the arrival of the Jedi and Senator Riyo Chuchi. Chairman Cho died from the injury, and Senator Chuchi established a peace treaty with the Talz.
First Battle of Felucia[]
Typhuss and Ben joined Skywalker and Tano on the planet Felucia, where the Republic was battling the Confederacy for control of the strategic world. As the Jedi pressed their assault into Separatist-held territory, General Grievous dispatched battle droid reinforcements aboard a C-9979 landing craft to one of his outposts on Felucia to secure his grip on the system. To attack Grievous's troops at the source, Koon, Skywalker, Tano, Wolffe, Typhuss, Ben and Clone Captain CC-7567, nicknamed "Rex," proceeded to the droid outpost with their troops. Just as Grievous's reinforcements were deployed, Koon developed a three-part strike plan to divide the droids' defenses: while he and Wolffe assaulted the outpost's left flank, Skywalker and Rex, Typhuss, Ben would attack the front gate, and Tano would breach the base's rear entrance. Once all of the Jedi's forces had moved into position, Koon had the Republic's AT-TE walkers open fire on the droid outpost from an adjacent ridge. While Skywalker and Rex battled the droids at the front gate, Koon led the way to the top of the base via a Force Jump, and Wolffe and the Wolfpack followed with their JT-12 jetpacks. Koon, Wolffe, and their men cut through the battle droids on top of the base before joining Skywalker's men on the ground, where—with the aid of Comet, Sinker, Boost, and the others of Tano's Wolfpack division—they captured the outpost's command center and destroyed the remainder of the battle droids, including the base's T-series tactical droid commander, TZ-33. Unbeknownst to her comrades, however, Tano had been captured by Trandoshan hunters during the battle and had been taken to the moon of Wasskah, to be subjected to a ritualistic and brutal Trandoshan hunt. Although she was nowhere to be found at the Felucian outpost the next morning, Skywalker, Koon, Wolffe, Typhuss, Ben, Rex, and their men were forced to pull out from Felucia without her, though Koon relayed the matter of the missing Padawan to the Republic's assets throughout the rest of the Outer Rim Territories and within the Confederacy itself.
Second Battle of Geonosis[]
As Captain Rex said, this will be a full scale planetary invasion. We're settling the score on Geonosis once and for all.
—Obi-Wan Kenobi
Typhuss also fought in the second invasion of Geonosis, attacking a Geonosian droid foundry under the command of Ki-Adi Mundi and Luminara Unduli. He attended the mission briefing between the Jedi generals and the clone commanders before the battle. As Commander Typhuss's and General Mundi's Low Altitude Assault Transport entered the atmosphere of Geonosis, it encountered heavy Geonosian fire. Typhuss contacted CC-2224, nicknamed Cody, asking him to get the AT-TE walkers on the ground, but after Cody landed, he lost contact with Typhuss, as Mundi's gunship was shot down, slamming into the ground hard. Typhuss escaped the wrecked gunship and helped Ki-Adi out. They then marched overland to the Republic landing zone and entered a cave filled with Geonosian drones. Mundi and Typhuss fought their way through the cave calling in flamethrower wielding clone troopers to finish off the Geonosian soldiers. When Anakin Skywalker and his troops disabled the droid foundry's deflector shield, Typhuss helped round up the enemy resistance.
Typhuss went with Cody, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi to find Poggle and capture him. They tracked him to the Progate Temple, where Luminara Unduli also had tracked him, but been captured by Geonosian zombies. These zombies had been controlled by brain worms that enabled the Queen Karina the Great to keep contact with them even after death. This also made it possible for the drones to continue their attack after being shot or cut by a lightsaber. When Typhuss, Cody, Skywalker, and Kenobi reached the Queen, Typhuss , Cody, together with his men, spread out to ambush Karina the Great and her drones while Kenobi and Skywalker tried to negotiate with the Queen. This, however, failed, and Typhuss, Cody and his troopers killed her while Kenobi and Skywalker rescued Unduli and escaped the collapsing temple, along with Cody and Typhuss.
Battle of Quell[]
After capturing an important Separatist tactical droid, Aayla Secura, Commander Typhuss and Commander Bly were dispatched to lead an assault over the planet Quell. Secura's forces suffered heavy damage, and soon enough, her command ship was the only one remaining. Its shields fell, but fortunately for the Republic taskforce, General Anakin Skywalker was due to arrive in the Resolute, with reinforcements. Sure enough, the Resolute entered the system, but the Confederate frigates began launching jump droids. Realizing that they were intending to board her ship, Secura ordered Bly and Typhuss to repel the attacking forces. Gunships from the Resolute arrived at the site of the battle to aid Secura's damaged starship, and Skywalker, his apprentice Ahsoka Tano, and CC-7567 (or "Rex," as he was known) were able to board. They rendezvoused with Typhuss, Secura and Bly aboard the ship, and Skywalker reported that he had arranged for one of his Consular-class cruisers to dock with the damaged Star Destroyer. The Confederates redoubled their attack, attempting to down Secura's ship. As Bly, Typhuss, Secura, Skywalker, Tano, Rex, and the clone troopers Cameron, Flash, and Lucky made their way toward the docked cruiser, a series of explosions tore through the Star Destroyer, chasing them down a corridor. Skywalker, in an attempt to save both his allies and the cruiser, sealed himself off with a set of blast doors, and held back the shockwave of the explosion with the Force. As a result, he was seriously injured, but Tano was able to recover his unconscious form.
The group boarded the cruiser, prompting its pilot to head for the Resolute. Aboard the flagship, Admiral Wullf Yularen advised Secura against docking in the middle of a battle, but Secura realized that the severity of Skywalker's injuries meant that he needed better medical care than what their tiny cruiser could provide. As the ship began docking operations, it was attacked by Vulture droid fighters. When the ship was struck by their fire, the pilot was thrown onto the controls, accidentally activating the ship's hyperdrive. Despite Bly's best efforts, he was unable to disengage, but Yularen, acting quickly, had the Resolute move away from the cruiser, leaving it free to engage its hyperdrive and depart Quell prematurely. Despite the overwhelming odds against surviving a hyperspace jump in a gravity well, the cruiser, and all aboard it, survived. As it traveled through hyperspace, Bly learned that the ship was on a direct collision course with a star. As the clones tried desperately to disengage the hyperdrive, Secura ordered that they power down all the ship's systems. They did so, bringing the cruiser into realspace just short of the corona. Secura then powered the ship back up again, allowing it to maneuver around the star, which in turn allowed Tano to slingshot the craft around it into a crash landing on the planet of Maridun.
Battle of Maridun[]
Typhuss: “Commander Bly, we've got company.”
— Typhuss and Bly
Bly: “Friendlies?”
Typhuss: “Negative, sir. A droid ship. Coming straight our way.”
As the wreckage of the ship burned on the planet's surface, all evacuated through its emergency escape hatches. Once the fires had burned out, the group used the wreckage as a makeshift shelter. Skywalker's condition, however, continued to deteriorate, and the group began to realize that he needed swift medical attention. Tano suggested that Bly and Secura scout in a southerly fashion while she and Rex would stay and watch over Skywalker, but Secura disagreed, insisting that she and Tano work together as Jedi. In a cursory search of the area surrounding the wreck, Bly discovered a carved tablet depicting a humanoid battling some sort of predator. The group realized that the tablet indicated that there was an intelligent species dwelling on the world, and set themselves upon the task of finding said species. Also depicted on the carving were large trees, which Bly, Typhuss, Secura, and Tano decided to look for, as a clue to the species' location. Setting out with Typhuss, Cameron, Flash and Lucky, and leaving Rex behind with Skywalker, the group found one of the trees by nightfall. Falling seed pods from the trees nearly killed the six off-worlders, but Secura spotted a path in the grass that had been used to drag the pods away, presumably by a member of the intelligent species. As the scouting party followed the path, they were set upon by two large mastiff phalones. Bly was able to kill one of the creatures, which scared the other away, but the pair had been able to kill Cameron, Lucky, and Flash.
By dawn, Bly, Typhuss, Secura, and Tano came across a village made of the massive seed pods, occupied by Lurmen. They were greeted by the village leader, Tee Watt Kaa, but the elderly chieftain was suspicious of their intent. Secura insisted that they were peacekeepers, but Kaa argued that the Jedi were a violent organization. The Lurmen had colonized Maridun in an attempt to flee the death and destruction that the Clone Wars brought, and in accordance with that, he asked the trio to leave his village. Tano launched into an impassioned plea for aid, however, and Kaa decided to send his healer son, Wag Too, to aid Skywalker. He still did not trust the Jedi, however, and insisted that one of them remain at the village, lest they try and kidnap Too. Secura opted to stay behind, but the blaster-toting Bly and Typhuss were not allowed to remain within the village. The clone commander set off with Tano, Typhuss and Too, and after running for 17 hours straight, arrived back at the wreckage just as a mastiff phalone was tearing apart the shelter and attacking Rex and Skywalker. Too was able to incapacitate the creature, but barred Tano from killing it. Meanwhile, Bly assisted Skywalker, who had been further injured in the altercation with the mastiff phalone. Too was able to stabilize Skywalker's condition, and the general was set to make a recovery. They returned to the village, where Skywalker's recuperation continued.
Meanwhile, Bly was informed by Typhuss that a Confederate C-9979 landing craft was approaching the Lurmen settlement, which Bly then immediately relayed to the Jedi. Kaa insisted that the Jedi leave the village, lest the Confederate invaders find them. Too helped the clones and the Jedi to sneak out of the village, while Kaa met with the leader of the Confederate force, General Lok Durd. As the clones and the Jedi moved out of the village, the Confederate troops began ransacking the place. The group was able to make its way to some long grass, where they hid until the droids finished their sweep of the settlement. Skywalker, remembering that they would need a ship to get off Maridun, suggested that if the Confederates had a landing craft, they would also likely have a shuttle of some sort. As Skywalker and Rex plotted, Tano spotted a Confederate recon droid nearby. Bly and Rex opened fire on it, while Bly jammed its comlink. The droid fled, and the group gave chase. Secura was able to dispatch the droid, and their chase had taken them to the base of a large tree. The group climbed the tree, and from their new vantage point, they spotted the Confederate invaders building a fortified outpost around the landing craft. Within the outpost was, as Skywalker predicted, a Confederate shuttle. Bly noted that getting into the outpost would be no small feat, as the enemy's security appeared to be flawless. As the group continued to observe the base, Skywalker saw that Durd's forces had some sort of large new weapon in their arsenal, and he asked Bly and Rex to investigate. As they moved closer, the vehicle fired a large projectile into the sky. When the projectile hit the ground, it unleashed a rapidly expanding ring of fire that wiped out everything in its path. Bly and Rex attempted to outrun the blast, and Rex decided to fire his grappling cable at a branch of the large tree, in order to ascend out of the blast's range. Bly followed suit, but tripped on a log, and as a result, his cable fell short of the tree. Before he could be killed by the blast, however, Secura swung down on a vine, and rescued him.
The Jedi quickly realized that Durd's target would be the Lurmen, and Skywalker devised a plan of attack: first, they would eliminate the Confederate communications station, steal the shuttle, and then return to aid the Lurmen. When night fell, the group approached the base, and together they covertly dispatched the guards. Tano and Secura were able to enter the outpost, wherein Tano proceeded to open the main door, allowing Bly, Typhuss, Rex, and Skywalker to join the others. The rest of the guard droids dispatched, the group made their way toward the parked shuttle. Before they boarded, the clones gathered two shield generators to take with them. The group then flew the shuttle to the Lurmen village. Although Kaa still refused to accept the aid of the Jedi, Skywalker went about ordering the clones to set up the shield generators, in preparation for the defense of the village. In addition, the Jedi and the clones began moving the large pods into place, forming a makeshift barrier. When the Confederate forces were close enough to the village, Durd fired his new weapon. In response, Skywalker had the shield generators activated, which protected the village from the blast. Durd's next move was to have his army of droids charge the village, prompting Skywalker, Tano, Secura, Typhuss, Bly and Rex to move outside the shield and engage the attackers. They were able to successfully dispatch the first wave of droids, but the second and third waves were able to make through the shield perimeter, forcing Typhuss, Bly and Rex to retreat behind the pod barrier. Skywalker set off on his own to neutralize the weapon, leaving Tano and Secura free to battle the droids that were moving into the village. Unfortunately for the defenders, the droids took out both shield generators. Skywalker was able to destroy the weapon, however, and the Lurmen, under the leadership of Too, banded together, and helped the clones and the Jedi round up the attacking droids. Durd was later arrested by Skywalker, and Admiral Yularen's cruisers arrived at Maridun to extract the clones and the Jedi.
Mission to Alzoc III[]
Typhuss accompanied Jedi Generals Luminara Unduli and Aayla Secura, and clone commanders CC-5052, CC-1004 to investigate the planet Alzoc III, where Separatist activity had been reported by the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. The Republic squad took several All Terrain Tactical Enforcers which, after scaling a cliff face, were able to reach the coordinates of the location provided by Jabba. Upon arriving, both the Jedi and the clone troopers witnessed a crash site of a large capital ship and were stunned by the view of huge masses of ice and numerous starship parts floating freely in the air. Deciding to investigate the unusual phenomena, Gree and several clone troopers used their jetpacks to reach what remained of the ship's hangar, while the Jedi followed them by using the Force to navigate through debris. When the group rendezvoused at the hangar, it was attacked by a Vulture droid and it became apparent that the crash site attracted Separatist interest as well. The Jedi quickly defeated the droid and ordered the clones to scout ahead and find the ship's data recorder, while they themselves engaged the battle droids and followed by an alternate route. After reaching the remains of the ship's bridge, Gree began to slice the vessel's data recorder, while the Jedi and the clone troopers protected him from the attacking droids. Once the battle droids were successfully neutralized, Gree was able to show his generals the record of the ship's final moments. It became apparent that an individual had used a Telgorn dropship to board a Munificent-class star frigate carrying two classified weapons, stole one of them, and then departed shortly before the frigate was hit by an explosion. The vessel had then crashed on the planet, where the weapon created a gravity anomaly. Soon, Gree also discovered that Asajj Ventress had already visited the crash site and set the remains of the frigate for self-destruct. The Jedi ordered the clone troopers to safety and then briefly dueled the Dark Acolyte. Eventually, Secura and Unduli trapped the Dark Jedi under the bulk of ice before leaving the crash site and reporting to the Jedi High Council.
Battle of Malastare[]
Later on, Typhuss was dispatched to Malastare to battle a massive invasion force sent by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Republic tested a prototype electromagnetic pulse weapon called an electro-proton bomb which was designed to disable all the battle droids and vehicles of enemy forces, while doing no damage to the Republic troops or native Dug warriors and property. Typhuss and his troops were charged with holding the line of defense long enough for a flight of BTL-B Y-wing starfighters to drop the bomb right in the center of the droid army. The bomb was successful in disabling or destroying all of the enemy force, but the power of the initial explosion created a seismic reaction which opened a sink hole at the point of impact. Many Dug warriors, Republic vehicles and troops were caught by the crumbling ground and fell into the rapidly-opening chasm. Typhuss narrowly escaped falling in himself, making a leap to solid ground as the footing beneath him was crumbling away. The explosion also awakened a hibernating Zillo Beast, a species long thought to be extinct. Doge Nakha Urus, the leader of the Dug people, insisted that the Republic help them destroy the creature or he would not sign a treaty which would provide critical fuel needed to power the Republic's war machine. The Jedi were opposed to killing a unique creature and instead found a way to force it into unconsciousness for transport to a safe location off-planet. With the successful elimination of the Zillo Beast threat, Typhuss was present as Urus signed the Treaty of Malastare.
Zillo Beast incident[]
Zillo Beast Rampage[]
After the Jedi brought the Zillo Beast to Coruscant, it escaped and ravaged parts of the city. Typhuss was among the clone troopers who were trying to kill the creature. When Anakin, Padmé, and Chancellor Palpatine were captured by the beast, Rex pointed out Anakin's plan to slice the ship in half to escape. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan reminded Windu to catch them when they fell, but Rex remarked that a lot of Anakin's plans involved falling. Typhuss was watching as LAAT gunships launched Malastarian oil filled gas bombs at the Zillo Beast and killed the beast.
Advanced Recon Commando[]
Before the Battle of Kamino, Typhuss became an Advanced Recon Commando and was given ARC trooper armor by Commander Tucker.
Defense of Kamino[]
The Galactic Republic intercepted a transmission between General Grievous and Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress, and Skywalker, Kenobi, Rex, Cards, Typhuss and Cody examined the message aboard their Venator-class Star Destroyer. The group subsequently learned that the Separatists were planning another invasion of Kamino, a prospect that both Typhuss, Cody and Rex found to be quite personal to them and their brethren, as Kamino was their home. To relay this intelligence and prepare for the attack, Skywalker and Kenobi resolved to head straight for Kamino.
The Jedi, Typhuss, Cards, Ben, Rex, Cody, and some members of the 501st Legion—including Fives and Echo—were transferred to an Acclamator-class assault ship and landed at the Military Complex of Kamino's capital, Tipoca City, where Skywalker, Kenobi, Cards, Rex, Typhuss and Cody met with Jedi General Shaak Ti and Prime Minister Lama Su and reported the news of the Confederacy's planned incursion. It was not long before Grievous arrived at Kamino with a large Separatist fleet to challenge the Republic's blockade of Kamino. While Skywalker led the Republic starfighters into battle against Grievous's forces, Rex joined Cody, Cards, Typhuss, Ben, Kenobi, Ti, and Su in Tipoca City's command center to monitor the battle from afar. However, the spatial engagement proved to only be a diversionary assault when the debris from several Separatist cruisers that had fallen into Kamino's oceans turned out to be a set of disguised assault ships.
The enemy craft rose out of the seas and deployed a battle droid army led by Grievous and Ventress to beleaguer Tipoca City. As the invading droids marched through and damaged the Military Complex, Rex, Cards, Typhuss and Cody found Echo, Fives, and the maintenance clone 99 with several young clone cadets at the facility's barracks; the cadets had been separated from their group and had required the troopers' assistance to return to the barracks. Although the cadets did not believe that they could help to repel the Separatists, as their training had not yet been completed, Fives and Echo underlined the fact that it was their home that they were defending. With the droids about to reach the barracks, 99 took Rex, Typhuss and Cody to the nearby armory to retrieve weapons for the rest of the clones so that they could mount a defense of the barracks. The cadets hid in the raised retractable sleeping chambers along the corridor wall to provide extra firepower at the right moment. When a battle droid squad led by Grievous broke into the facility, Rex, Typhuss, Cody, Cards, Echo, and Fives immediately gunned down the initial forces at the entrance. They were unable to drive back all of the droids, however, and the clones were forced to retreat into the barracks, stampeding back along the main corridor with the battle droids in close pursuit. Rex, Cards, Typhuss, Cody, Fives, and Echo quickly took up cover positions behind several crates to return the approaching droids fire. As the droids pushed Echo, Fives, Cards, Typhuss and Cody back toward Rex's position, 99 tossed Rex a thermal detonator, which the captain launched at the approaching B1 battle droids. He missed, however, hitting an adjacent crate instead. Just after the droids had passed the cadets' hiding places, Rex radioed the young trainees to open fire on the droids, which they did to great effect. While the clones continued to gun down the surrounded droids, Cody used up the last of the thermal detonators. Although 99 opted to get more explosives from the armory, his decision to forsake his cover in spite of Rex's and the others' shouted warnings cost him his life, as he fell to droid fire. Cody shortly thereafter received word from Ti that the droids had been pushed back to the Military Complex's main hangar, and the Republic forces were eventually able to defeat the remainder of the droids, forcing Grievous and Ventress to retreat. However, the damage had been done, and Rex, Cards, Ben, Typhuss, Cody, Fives, and Echo all lamented the loss of 99, whom they believed, despite the challenges of his natural malformations, had been a true soldier. Following the presentation of a medal, Rex inducted Typhuss into the 501st Legion for his part in helping the Republic defend Kamino from the Separatist attack.
On the front lines of battle[]
Having become a foothold of Separatist strength since the onset of the Clone Wars, Felucia was engulfed in conflict for a second time on account of being situated near the valuable hyperlane known as the Perlemian Trade Route. Typhuss went with Rex, Skywalker and Tano to repel the Confederacy from Felucia, leading a clone trooper division of AT-TE walkers into the heart of enemy territory. They encountered squads of battle droids as they went but gained much ground, eventually joining forces with Plo Koon and Commander Wolffe to capture a Confederate outpost, to which General Grievous was sending reinforcements to fortify his hold on the system. As night fell, the Jedi and clones moved their forces to a ridge overlooking the outpost just as a C-9979 landing craft arrived with the droid reinforcements. Koon decided on a three-pronged assault plan to secure the outpost: while Koon and Wolffe attacked the base's left flank, Tano would breach the rear entrance with troops from Wolffe's Wolfpack, a squad within the Grand Army's 104th Battalion. Skywalker and Rex, meanwhile, would spearhead the frontal assault on the station. Once Skywalker's Felucian scouts had found them a secure way to the path leading to the outpost, Rex positioned half of their soldiers amidst the dense foliage on one side of the path, while Skywalker did the same along the other side.
With all of their forces in place, Koon had their AT-TE walkers deliver long-range fire at the outpost from the ridge. The cannonades baited tactical droid commander TZ-33's droid defenders out of the front entrance, and Skywalker and Typhuss, Rex began their attack once several DSD1 dwarf spider droids had been lured out into the jungle. Typhuss, Rex and Skywalker cut through the battle droids and joined Koon in capturing the base's command center, eliminating TZ-33. Although the enemy station had been secured, Tano was nowhere to be found—unbeknownst to her comrades, Trandoshan hunters had captured her for a ritualistic hunt on the moon Wasskah. Rex and his team received orders to return to Coruscant the next morning. As they prepared to leave Felucia, Skywalker had Rex and his men search the conquered outpost and the surrounding area for Tano several times, to no avail. With gunships waiting for them, Skywalker was forced to call off the search, hoping that Republic forces or spies in the Confederacy would locate his Padawan. Tano was later rescued from Wasskah and safely returned to the Jedi Temple.
Following the Second Battle of Felucia, Grievous oversaw a Separatist invasion of the Calamari system, home to the Mon Calamari shipbuilders who were key to the Republic war effort. After the King of Mon Cala, Yos Kolina, was assassinated, Skywalker and Padmé Amidala were sent to quell the political tensions between the Mon Calamari and the Quarren in the wake of his death, hoping to stem the impending threat of a Mon Calamari–Quarren civil war. Despite their best efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict, Skywalker and Amidala were unable to stop the Quarren from seceding from the Republic in favor of an alliance with Commander Riff Tamson of the Confederacy. Upon learning that civil war on Mon Cala was now inevitable and imminent, the Jedi High Council immediately commissioned a company of clone troopers for underwater combat to prevent the world from falling to Separatist control. Typhuss, Rex, Tano, and Kit Fisto were appointed to oversee the reinforcements for the Mon Calamari. Yet the battle began before they could arrive when Tamson and Quarren chieftain Nossor Ri led an assault on the undersea capital, Mon Calamari City, where Captain Gial Ackbar of the Mon Calamari Guard was hosting Skywalker and Amidala.
After arriving in the Calamari system aboard a Venator-class Star Destroyer, Rex remained on the bridge to supervise the clone detachment's deployment into the Calamari Sea. LAAT/i gunships took Tano, Fisto, Clone Commanders Typhuss, Monnk, and their clone SCUBA troopers, all outfitted in submersible gear, to sea level, where they dove into the waters of Mon Cala. Using OMS Devilfish subs to reach Mon Calamari City, Tano, Fisto, and their men joined Skywalker, Amidala, Ackbar, and Kolina's son, Prince Lee-Char, in the ongoing battle against the allied forces of the Separatists and Quarren. Thanks to further reinforcements from Naboo's Gungan Grand Army, the Jedi and clones bested Tamson's forces, with Nossor Ri and the Quarren realigning with the Mon Calamari and the Republic under newly appointed King Lee-Char.
Defense of the Coronet[]
After Kenobi's investigation on Mandalore, Typhuss and Cody along with Anakin, Rex, and their troopers were assigned to escort the Duchess Satine Kryze aboard the Coronet to Coruscant. Later in the Coronet's cargo hold, Obi-wan briefed their troopers on the importance of the safety of Duchess Satine. After Cody, Typhuss Rex and their troopers then went on patrol in the cargo hold. When Cody, Typhuss and Rex lost contact with two of their troopers, Rex contacted Kenobi, informing him of the situation. When Skywalker came down there, Cody, Typhuss, Rex and him found a open container. Later when Skywalker was ambushed by an assassin probe Rex, Typhuss, Cody and one of their troopers finished it off. Unfortunately one of the probes made it to the lifts. Then the fallen assassin probe unleashed smaller probe killer. Cody, Typhuss and Rex then stayed close to Skywalker untill they destroyed the last probe. After that Cody, Typhuss and Rex went with Skywalker to find the droid in charge of the cargo manifest. When Skywalker told Kenobi that one of the senators with Satine was a traitor, Skywalker returned to the cargo hold to help Cody, Typhuss and Rex find the last probe. When Cody, Typhuss and Rex found one of their trooper's helmets one of the smaller probe jumped at them. Fortunately, Skywalker and R2-D2 destroyed before it killed Cody, Typhuss and Rex. After Rex destroyed the last assassin probe, the traitor Senator Merrik took Satine hostage, and then called for assistance from Death Watch command, who sent three Separatist boarding crafts to help him. When they latched on to the Coronet, they unloaded Super battle droids. Cody along with Skywalker, Typhuss, Rex, their troopers, and Satine's Bodyguards fought against them while Kenobi tried to rescue Satine. After Skywalker stopped and killed Senator Merrik, Typhuss and Cody reported to him that all the droids were destroyed.
Rescuing Master Even Piell[]
While serving under Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Typhuss took part in the rescuing of Jedi Master Even Piell, who was captured by the Confederacy. In the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Typhuss joined Skywalker and Kenobi during a meeting around a holographic table. As they orchestrated their plan, the team knew that any attack on the facility which contained the captive Piell—a well-guarded Confederate prison known as the Citadel—would be rendered useless due to its security. Skywalker devised a plan of encasing Typhuss and the team in carbonite in order to avoid detection, as the facility's security utilized life-form scanners. Then his astromech droid, R2-D2, would fly the carbonite blocks to the Citadel.
After the meeting, Typhuss and the team departed to the Temple's hangar bay, where a carbon-freezing chamber, maintained by Ugnaughts, was located. Once Typhuss and the team were encased in separate carbonite blocks, and stored into a Class Type B escort shuttle, a variant of the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, R2 and a group of reprogrammed B1 battle droids flew the shuttle to the Citadel, located on the planet Lola Sayu. After passing the prison's life-form scan check, R2 and the battle droids landed the shuttle near a cliff by the Citadel. R2 released Skywalker and Kenobi's team from their carbonite blocks and regrouped. Leaving R2, the battle droids, and the shuttle behind, Skywalker led the team closer to the cliff's edge. Noticing they cannot utilize ascension cables to ascend to the top of the cliff, due to Electro-mines—which, if touched, would electrocute the object and sound an alarm within the prison—planted throughout the cliff's side. Skywalker and Kenobi, however, then told Echo and the rest of the team that they would have to free-climb the cliff. Once Echo reached the top, he joined Kenobi, Cody, Typhuss, trooper Longshot, and Skywalker's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Noticing a doorway that led into the Citadel itself was ray shielded, Tano entered the Citadel through a nearby ventilation shaft, and deactivated the ray shield to allow Typhuss and the team to enter. Next to the doorway, Fives was helping Rex and another clone, Charger, reach the top of the cliff. However, when Charger grabbed Fives' hand, he slipped and free-fell down toward an Electro-mine, which killed him, and sounded an alarm within the Citadel. Despite alerting the Citadel of their presence, Typhuss and the team proceeded into the prison anyway. After entering one of the Citadel's detention area hallways, the walls surrounding the team contained hidden blaster turrets. Once the turrets revealed themselves to the group, the Jedi utilized their lightsabers to deflect the blaster fire, while Typhuss and the clones fired at the turrets. The turrets were not the only trap the hallway contained, however; Longshot witnessed an electricity field that was approaching from the distance. While Typhuss and the others evaded the field, Longshot was not so lucky, as he was instantly killed after being hit by the electric field. The team continued on and found Piell inside a holding cell, and released him from captivity.
Though they rescued Piell, the Jedi Master wanted to find his officers, whom were also taken captive by the Confederacy. Still within one of the Citadel's detention hallways, Typhuss and the team were confronted by a group of commando droids, released by the prison's warden, Osi Sobeck.
A firefight erupted, and the commando droids delayed the team from finding Piell's officers. Echo shot a commando droid that held Tano, while the others took out a few of the many attacking droids. Sobeck, who was watching the fight via the prison's security camera system, activated the hallway's magnetized ceiling, which took Echo's blaster, as well as the other team member's weapons, albeit leaving the commando droids' weaponry alone. Skywalker, however, disabled the disabled the magnetized ceiling, which allowed his team to reequip themselves and finish off the droids. Continuing their search for Piell's men, the team soon found the officers within a holding cell. Seeing that they might run into more trouble with Osbeck's prison guards, Kenobi decided the team should split up; Piell, his men, Typhuss and Cody would go with Kenobi to create a diversion, while Echo, Fives, Skywalker, Tano, and one of Piell's officers, Wilhuff Tarkin, stay together and find an escape route that would lead them out of the prison. Later, Typhuss traveled with Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Captain Tarkin, Captain Rex, and Echo in an attempt to meet with the rest of the group at the rendevouzs point.
While fighting in the landing area of the citadel Typhuss witnessed his close brother and friend, Echo, die trying to save the shuttle, the group's only hope of escape. Mortified, Typhuss looked as Echo's scorched ARC Trooper helmet landed on the ground before retreating. With the shuttle destroyed, the group call for support from Coruscant. While the fleet is on its way, the team had no choice but to hole down within the cave system until help arrives and the group departs to find a hiding place.
After finding a temporary refuge in the caves, Even Piell and R2-D2 contact the Jedi Council. They learn that Master Plo Koon - aided by Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin and Adi Gallia - is already on his way to retrieve them, but there is only a small window of opportunity in which the rescue party can get to them; the rendezvous point is a small island situated in a lava lake surrounded by a mountain ring. Right after the call is made, a squad of commando droids attacks them, forcing them to move on. Later the Jedi team reaches the lake, but are attacked by a large battle droid force. While R2's droid team holds off the enemy for as long as they are able and are swiftly destroyed in the attempt, the Jedi, clones and Tarkin descend the cliff down to the lake's shore and flee into a set of gulleys. As they move on, Anakin, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan discuss Tarkin's haughty attitude and the Jedi's inability to stem the tide of war due to their strict codex before they notice the Anooba trailing them, along with a squad of STAPs. Anakin, Obi-Wan and R2 lure the creatures into an ambush, but the rest of the team itself is ambushed by crab droids and another group of STAPs. Separated from the others, Piell and Ahsoka are attacked by the last remaining Anooba which fatally mauls the Jedi Master. Dying, Piell entrusts Ahsoka with his half of the Nexus Route coordinates, with the explicit instruction to repeat it to none other but the Jedi Council, and the Jedi take a brief moment to consign his body to the lava before moving on. Finally, Sobeck arrives on the scene, determined to see his efforts succeed personally, and catches the refugees just as they prepare to cross over to the island. His STAP shot is down by Fives, Sobeck lands on the island, grapples with Tarkin and prepares to cast him into the lava, but Ahsoka kills him before he can kill Tarkin. Before an army of crab droids can overrun the island, Master Koon arrives with a gunship to bail the team out. After the rescue, Plo Koon contacted his admiral, Coburn and told him to prepare the ship to jump to hyperspace. The team managed to make it to the ship and successfully jumped into hyperspace back to Coruscant. Upon arriving back at the Temple, they honored Piell's sacrifice and then decided to debrief the Nexus Route information. However, Tarkin was told to give the information to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine while Ahsoka was told by Piell to give the information to the Jedi Council only, forcing Yoda to confer with Palpatine.
Battle of Umbara[]
Typhuss along with the 501st Legion, were sent to Umbara. General Pong Krell was dispatched by the Jedi High Council to Umbara, a former member-world of the Republic that joined the galactic-wide rebellion of the so-called Separatist Alliance. By the time General Krell arrived on the planet, Republic forces had already begun their invasion of Umbara with Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker's 501st Legion leading the way to the planetary capital. After sustaining some casualties during the initial engagement with the Umbaran natives, Krell arrived on the battlefield via a LAAT/i gunship and reported the Council's orders; Skywalker was to immediately disengage from the battle and return to Coruscant. Though Skywalker shocked by this unexpected order, Krell also stated that it was at the request of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine as well. With Skywalker away, Krell was assigned as the 501st Legion's mission commander. Once he assumed command of the 501st Legion, General Krell immediately dismissed Skywalker's original plan for the capture of the Umbaran capital. Due to the strategic importance of the capital, as well as the fact that victory or defeat depended on the 501st, Krell decided that Skywalker's guerrilla warfare tactics were too slow and ultimately a waste of time. Hence, he concluded that unhindered military force would win the battle, and thus he ordered the 501st on a direct path to the capital city. During the long march, Krell was exasperated by the clone troopers, particularly Clone Captain CC-7567 and Clone Commander CC-2009 who repeatedly questioned the orders of a superior officer—a gross act of insubordination that was highly unusual for clone troopers. Before they reached their destination, however, Krell and the 501st were attacked by two Vixus creatures, neither of which CC-7567 or the other troopers were able to exterminate on their own. Krell swiftly killed both creatures so that the group could continue the march without further distraction. When CC-7567 and his troopers were ambushed and nearly overwhelmed by a group of Umbaran soldiers, Krell was frustrated by the clones' inability to achieve success without his support. Nevertheless, he saved their lives by dispatching extra troopers and AT-RT drivers to assist the beleaguered clones. Krell made no effort to conceal his disappointment in CC-7567 and CC-2009 for retreating from the enemy. In an act of insubordination, Advanced Recon Commando 5555 criticized his superior officer's leadership style, but ultimately stood down when Krell ordered him to do so at the point of a lightsaber. CC-7567 intervened and stressed how he understood the importance of the mission, but not without emphasizing his personal need to save the lives of the clones under his command. Krell found CC-7567 to be unusual, mainly because most clones never expressed their opinions to the point of questioning orders. He admitted the unorthodox style in his leadership, but nevertheless defended the efficiency of his strategies. After dubiously complimenting CC-7567, Krell left the shocked clones to contemplate his words. Before they could do so, however, the 501st troopers were forced back into combat by another group of Umbaran ambushers. Due to the high priority of his new assignment, Krell ordered Captain Rex and Commander Typhuss to mobilize the clones for their deployment to the Umbaran airbase. Upon viewing their targeted location from a distance, Krell instructed Rex and Typhuss to lead a contingent of clone troopers through a gorge and destroy the airbase with brute force, in a full frontal assault. The clone captain suggested reconnaissance as an alternate approach, but Krell responded that the rest of the invasion force depended on the haste of a 501st victory, and judged that they did not have the time for a scouting operation. Rex kept his misgivings to himself and loyally carried out his general's will. By this time, General Krell's influence on the 501st created animosity not just between himself and some of the clones, but also between the clones themselves. The troopers made good progress until they encountered Umbaran tanks that were impervious to their weapons. Outgunned, Rex ordered the troopers to fall back and regroup, outraging Krell. Krell, observing the fighting from a safe distance atop a nearby ridge, ordered Rex to stand his ground and continue forward regardless of casualties as per his original orders. Rex reluctantly obeyed Krell's order not to fall back further and ordered those under his command to do stand their ground. Rex concocted a plan to disable the Umbaran tanks. He sent the troopers known as "Fives" and "Hardcase" to infiltrate the Umbaran airbase and steal two starfighters, which they would then use to destroy the tanks and allow the troopers to advance.
Upon learning of the plan, Krell demanded that Rex not go through with it and instead launch a full frontal assault as he had ordered, or he would relieve Rex of duty. Despite this, Fives and Hardcase succeeded in stealing the starfighters and destroying the tanks, preventing further casualties and opening the way for the remaining clones to advance and, after Krell ordered Appo's reserves forward to assist them, they captured the airbase.
Against General Krell[]
As Fives continued to complain about Pong Krell's suicidal plans to directly attack the Umbaran capital, he proposed that another idea be formed. Rex said there was no better plan, but Fives formed the plan of using the Umbaran starfighters to destroy the Umbaran supply ship, thus eliminating their long-ranged missiles. Although his idea was denied by Krell, Fives along with Hardcase and Jesse decided to continue with the plan. Deciding to use Hardcase to test the condition of the starfighters, Fives quickly panicked as Hardcase ends up causing severe damage in the hangar. While Hardcase is still trying to gain control of the starfighter, an alarm was set off and Fives is contacted by Krell, who demands to know the situation. After awkwardly trying to explain to the general that they were simply initiating a drill, Krell comes to him in person. Hardcase successfully lies that one of the starfighters was booby-trapped and Fives quickly confirms that he is telling the truth. Krell leaves, but Fives is downed to hear that he wants all of the Umbaran starfighters to be locked down and restricted for use. Still sticking with the plan, regardless of Krell's orders, Fives manages to persuade troopers Hardcase and Jesse to embark on a mission to destroy the Umbaran supply ship. After much criticism and help from Rex and Typhuss, the three fly off. The three troopers evade being detected and successfully infiltrate the supply ship. However, they are soon correctly identified by a large group of B1 Battle Droids, which begin to attack them. An alert is sent throughout the supply ship, causing ray shields to appear, blocking the entrance to the engine room. Seeing that there is no safe means of escape Hardcase departs from his starfighter, causing Jesse and Fives to try and stop him. Hardcase tells them to leave him and pushes a large missile into one of the reactors, causing the ship to explode along with him. Later, back at the supply base on Umbara, Rex, Typhuss and Tup congratulate them for their success, however they are soon confronted by Appo, who informs them that Krell wishes to see them immediately. After a lengthly speech from Krell, concerning Jesse and Five's disobeying of orders, he declares that Fives alongside Jesse are scheduled to be executed.
Carnage of Krell[]
Before the clones fired, Fives explained that they were men, not programed droids. The clones intentionally missed, then dropped their DC-15A blaster rifles and walked away, much to Dogma's dismay. The execution was delayed when Krell received a transmission stating Umbarans had stolen clone trooper armor and gear. During the incident when a division in Ghost Company, under the command of Waxer attacked CT-7567 and his men, Typhuss was surprised to learn that they were fighting clones instead of Umbarans.
After Waxer informed Rex and Typhuss that Krell ordered them to attack, Rex led the clones to capture and arrest Krell, while Dogma did not follow.
When they reached the air base the clones surrounded Krell in an attempt to arrest him, but Krell managed to fight his way through the clones and ran into the Umbara forest. While Pong Krell was escaping from custody, Dogma tried to prevent CT-7567 and CC-2009 from chasing Krell by raising a blaster at them and accusing them of betrayal. Although several other clones, including Typhuss and Tup aimed their blasters at him, Dogma didn't lower his. Rex tried to reason with him, trying to open his eyes to the real situation at hand. Dogma then aimed his blaster at Tup and Typhuss but slowly lowered, after which two clones tackled him to the ground and handcuffed him and locked him in the brig. As more attempts to take down Krell ensued, the clones tricked Krell into being captured by a Vixus. The Vixus grabbed Krell and managed to disarm him of one of his lightsabers, but he eventually cut himself free. When Krell fell on the surface Tup stunned him and the rest of the clones transported him back to the air base. Krell was captured and placed in the cell next to Dogma's holding cell. When Rex came to ask Krell why he did this, he explained that Dogma's blind loyalty was a key pawn in his plan. Afterward, when Rex came to kill Krell due to the risk of him letting out vital Republic secrets to the enemy if he were freed, Dogma was released by Fives and Typhuss watched as Rex ordered Krell against the wall on his own. Krell taunted Rex, laughing at his attempt and confident that he wouldn't be able to do it. While Fives was busy watching, Dogma secretly took his blaster out of his holster and fired at Krell, killing the Besalisk Jedi. Panting, he stated that he had to because Krell betrayed them. Dogma was put into Republic custody after the battle.
Battle of Kiros[]
Ten planetary rotations later, the Republic forces finally arrived, led by High General Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Anakin Skywalker, Commander CC-2009 —nicknamed "Typhuss", Captain CT-7567—nicknamed "Rex"—and Skywalker's Padawan, Commander Ahsoka Tano. After a Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer, two Arquitens-class light cruisers, and a Consular-class cruiser approached the planet, the Jedi ordered Typhuss and Rex to deploy ground troops. An Acclamator I-class assault ship entered the planet's atmosphere, and LAAT/i and LAAT/c gunships were used to deliver clone troopers, All Terrain Recon Transports, and All Terrain Tactical Enforcers to the surface.
The Jedi and Typhuss and Rex then led the ground assault on Kiros's capital city, approaching the governor's tower. Riding BARC speeders, they managed to destroy many BX-series droid commandos on Flitknot speeders before they were confronted by a pair of Armored Assault Tanks, backed by more commando droids and B1 battle droids. After cutting through the infantry droids, Rex was able to destroy one tank with a well-placed shot from a missile launcher, while Tano dispatched the other AAT by tossing a pair of grenades inside it. With the tanks out of the way, the area around the tower was secured. While the clone troopers continued to fight through minimal droid resistance, the Jedi noticed that they had not seen any of the planet's inhabitants throughout the whole battle. Kenobi then received word from Clone Commander CC-2224 that the holed-up D'Nar had sent him a message. The Commander played D'Nar's holographic message, who requested to talk to Kenobi alone to discuss the terms of surrender. Skywalker, who had been a slave in his youth and who resented the Zygerrian slavers, wanted to come to the tower instead of D'Nar. However, Kenobi believed that he should come since D'Nar requested his presence. Kenobi instead asked Skywalker to located the missing colonists, and the latter planned to have Admiral Wullf Yularen in charge of the Republic fleet initiate a planetary bio-scan. Believing that D'Nar wanted to surrender, Kenobi went to the governor's tower alone, although he left his comlink activated so that Skywalker could hear the entire conversation with D'Nar. When Kenobi entered the main room of Ugg's headquarters, he saw the commander talking to the Zygerrian Atai Molec and Dooku via a holoprojector and assuring them that the situation was under his control. When Kenobi entered the room, he was taking under guard by two commando droids, and Dooku ordered D'Nar to bring the Jedi to him. D'Nar told Kenobi that, he, in fact, wanted the Republic to surrender, revealing that he had planted thermal bombs throughout the city; D'Nar was intent on activating them and killing everyone if the Republic refused to comply. To prove his point, he ordered the tactical droid present at the scene to activate one of the bombs. The bomb detonated near the Republic encampment, injuring a number of clone troopers. Skywalker and Tano, during their attempt to disarm the final two bombs. The explosion caused Skywalker to change his plans, believing that the Republic did not have the time for the bio-scan. Having heard D'Nar's plans through Kenobi's comlink, Skywalker and Tano immediately assigned Skywalker's astromech droid, R2-D2, to locate the bombs with his scanners. Meanwhile, Kenobi tried to gain time by negotiating with D'Nar. He told the Separatist commander that he could not surrender until he was sure that the Togruta were safe, and to this end, he offered D'Nar to settle their dispute with a duel. Should Kenobi win, D'Nar would reveal the location of the Togruta and the bombs, but if D'Nar emerged as the winner, Kenobi would be brought before Dooku in a cage. The Zygerrian commander agreed on the condition to fight the traditional Zygerrian way, without weapons. While they fought, Skywalker and Tano took a pair of AT-RTs and defused the bombs by using their lightsabers to sever the connection between each bomb and its detonator. At one point during Kenobi's and Ugg's fight, a B1 battle droid tried to warn his commander about Skywalker's and Tano's actions via the commander's holoprojector. However, Kenobi did not allow him to finish, smashing D'Nar onto his table and breaking the projector. Soon, only two bombs located in a courtyard and guarded by a large number of B1 battle droids and B2 super battle droid remained. Skywalker and Tano destroyed all the droids, but discovered that the bombs were chain-linked, meaning that they should be defused at the same time to avoid explosion. However, the Jedi were then attacked by more battle droids that appeared on an adjacent platform. Skywalker and Tano were able to dispatch of the B2 super battle droids, but were pinned down by two sniper droidekas. The droidekas' shields proved too strong for the Jedi, and they had to take cover. Taking notice that the sniper droids were vulnerable from the sides, Skywalker and Tano used their lightsabers to deflect incoming blaster fire into the droids, disabling them. They then proceeded to deactivated the final two bombs. Meanwhile, Kenobi, who had not been fighting in full force to prolong the duel, was defeated by D'Nar. However, the tactical droid approached the Zygerrian with another holographic transmitter. A battle droid contacted the Confederate Commander, informing him that the Jedi had disarmed all bombs. Forgetting about Kenobi, D'Nar tried to trigger the bombs, to no avail. Kenobi, who did not have to fight in half his strength, used the Force to crush the two commando droids and regained his lightsaber, demanding to discuss D'Nar's surrender. However, the Zygerrian revealed that he had one bomb remaining, planted onto the tactical droid. Activating the explosive, D'Nar threw the droid onto Kenobi, pinning him under the machine, which allowed the Zygerrian to escape via a secret passageway in the floor. Regaining his footing, Kenobi pushed the panicking tactical droid through the tower's window, and it detonated in mid-air. Though they were able to capture D'nar and his ship, the entire planet's Togruta population had been taken into slavery by the Zygerrians.
Mission to Zygerria[]
Using Darts D'Nar's ship, the Tecora, Skywalker, Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Comannder Typhuss and Captain Rex visited Zygerria. Kenobi, Anakin, Typhuss and Rex were dressed as the Zygerrian slavers, while Ahsoka was Anakin's slave. They arrived in the main city and soon found Zygerrians tourchuring their slaves and Neimodians and many other spieces buying them. Ahsoka then tried to stop one of the slavers, when he wanted to punish one of his Twi'lek slaves who couldn't get up. He then attacked Tano, but Anakin told him that she is a new slave and doesn't know how to behave. The slaver then asked Anakin who he is and what he is doing on Zygerria and Anakin replied that he wants to speak with the queen, but the slaver didn't want to let him in without the inventetion. Anakin told him, that the queen will be mad when she finds out that he didn't let him because he had a story about Bruno Denturri, who was a slaver, the Queen was talking how the slaves must go on processing on Kadavo too. The Queen, who heard that thanks to the probe droids that were all over the city, asked the slaver to let Anakin in. When he arrived to the palace, Anakin told her that he is Lars Quell and that he killed Bruno and took one of his slaves, who was actually Ahsoka. The Queen was pleased and in order to make her even happier, Anakin tried to flatter her, which he was quite good at. The Queen looked at his slave and told him that Bruno always knew how to find beautiful females. Ahsoka then told the queen to let her go and because of that, Miraj Scintel told Anakin that she must be processed. Meanwhile, Kenobi, Typhuss and Rex searched for the slavers and soon found Roshti in one of the prisons. Kenobi rescued him, and told Rex and Typhuss to find a Brezak in order to run away from the Zygerrian guards who were behind them. They almost escaped, but then one of the guards shot Kenobi and he and the Governor fell of the animal. While Rex and Typhuss were escaping the guards, Anakin was speaking with Miraj about the slavery, when one Twilek girl arrived with a drink for the Queen and then using a knife, tried to kill her. Anakin stopped her in time, but the girl frightnened that she will have to return to Kadavo for processing and jumped off the balcony and died. The Queen then told Anakin that she will pay for Ahsoka as much as it's needed, because she looks like she needs to serve someone in which Anakin replied that she is a gift. Meanwhile, slavers tourchered Kenobi, until one of them, Atai Molec, remembered Kenobi as a Jedi who arrived to the Separatist headquarters on Kiros in order to talk about Darts's surrender. After that, they bring Obi-Wan and Roshti to the arena where slavers tourchered and fought their slaves for fun. Anakin surprised that Obi-Wan was captured, was given a lightsaber by the Queen who ordered him to kill the Jedi. Anakin came to the arena and faked that he'll attack Kenobi when R2-D2 gave him his and Kenobi's lightsaber. Anakin and Kenobi, then fought against the guards, while Rex and Typhuss took two of the Zygerrian blasters they found and started shoting Zygerrians. Ahsoka then attacked the Queen's bodyguards and with a lightsaber threatened the Queen. The Queen then pressed the button on her chair and Ahsoka was electroluted. Meanwhile, Kenobi and Anakin were captured and shocked by guards. Anakin tried to free himself using the force, but the Zygerrains attacked him. After, he woke up, Aankin found himself in bed in Miraj's room. She told him that he ruined her arena fight and Count Dooku and half of her kingdom now wants him dead. Aankin then started to force choke, but stopped before she died. He asked her where are his friends and she told him they were safe. She then gave him his lightsaber and told him that he is now her bodyguard. After they arrived from the ride on the Brezak, the Queen told him that future of Kenobi, Ahsoka and Typhuss and Rex lays in his hands. After the battle in the arena, Atai Molec put Ahsoka in a cage and told her that the Queen promised him, that she will be his slave. Ahsoka, using the force, tried to push the slaver from the top of the building, but he didn't fall and shocked her in order to learn hhow to behave. Obi-Wan, Typhuss, Rex and Roshti arrived captured in Kadavo in front of Agruss, head of the Zygerrian Labor Processing center and in front of him were the captured Kiros colonists. In order to break Kenobi he dropped several Togrutan prisoners into the holes under the lab.
Infiltrating Zygerria[]
Following the battle of Kiros, Typhuss, Rex, along with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano, infiltrated the slaver world of Zygerria to locate the missing colonists. While Anakin and Ahsoka distracted the queen, Typhuss, Rex and Obi-Wan searched for any of the colonists. They found the leader of the colonists, governor Roshti, and attempted to escape with him. The Zygerrian guards shot at them, and knocked Obi-Wan and the governor off. Typhuss and Rex escaped, and later when Obi-Wan was to be executed, helped Anakin save Obi-Wan and stop the Zygerrians. Typhuss and Rex were incapacitated by an explosion however, and he along with Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were captured by the Zygerrians. Typhuss, Rex and Obi-Wan were sent to the Zygerrian Labor Processing Hub on the planet of Kadavo and forced to work in the furnace room. Later, when Dooku ordered Obi-Wan's execution, Typhuss and Rex were taken along with him to the base's control room. When Anakin and Master Plo-Koon caused a distraction for Obi-Wan to escape his binders, Typhuss and Rex attacked the Zygerrian guards with him. After defeating all the guards, Obi-Wan had slave keeper Agruss at the end of his lightsaber, to which the Zygerrian mocked him saying that a Jedi would never kill an unnarmed man. To this, Rex picked up a Zygerrian spear and threw it at the keeper, killing him. Typhuss and Rex then escaped to the Republic fleet with the remainder of the group.
Capture of Rako Hardeen and prison riot[]
After Obi-Wan Kenobi was believed dead and Kenobi disguised himself as Rako Hardeen, Yoda sent Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano to Hardeen's location to apprehend him. Anakin then proceeded to escort the supposed criminal to the Republic prison on Coruscant, where Fox and Typhuss were awaiting him and took him in. Typhuss was still in the Republic prison when a prison riot broke out between a number of the prisoners. However Rako Hardeen, Moralo Eval and Cad Bane escaped from the prison during the riot and Typhuss and his shock troopers were unable to stop them from escaping.
Battle of Hoth[]
Typhuss fought in the Battle of Hoth, along with his friend Ace, immediately following the Mission to Cato Neimodia. Destiny was assigned to a fleet attacking the Separatist-held world of Hoth. Typhuss later helped rescue the captured troopers, the same ones from the previous mission, Beater and Deadeye. While Typhuss was on the bridge with Admiral Archer, constantly in contact with Ace and an officer from the 223rd Republic Fleet Regiment, Private Kernel Sandurz, who were engineering a transporter to beam up the two clones. After the clones were rescued, and with the Republic winning the battle, Destiny received permission from the flagship to leave the battle site. Under heavy fire, the star destroyer proceeded to jump into hyperspace.
20 BBY campaigns[]
Bombardment of Kamino[]
In 20 BBY the Separatists planned another attack on Kamino after a failed attack a year before, Typhuss was dispatched to Kamino to battle a massive invasion force sent by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Republic starfighter squadrons took out the Vulture droid bombers. On the ground, the small droid search-and-destroy squad was destroyed by the 501st Legion led by Appo and the 52nd Star Corps led by Typhuss. The Republic forces were eventually able to defeat the remainder of the droids, forcing the Separatists to retreat from Kamino.
Second Battle of Quell[]
The Separatists planned another attack on Quell forcing Jedi Generals Aayla Secura and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commander Typhuss to take a force of six Venator class Star Destroyers to reach Quell before the Separatist fleet did. When the Republic force came out of hyperspace the Separatist fleet attacked the Republic forces. General Secura led the Republic starfighters against the CIS droid starfighters while Generals Kenobi and Skywalker and Commanders Cody and Typhuss lead a force of Republic gunships to the planet surface to attack the Separatists. The gunships landed on the planet surface and the Jedi and the clone troopers got off the gunships. Soon the Separatist forces arrived led by Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress. Ventress ordered the B-1 battle droids to attack the clone troopers. Cody and Typhuss lead the clone troopers in battle against the battle droids while Kenobi and Skywalker dueled Ventress. The two Jedi then confronted Ventress, who—despite being injured—refused to surrender and began a lightsaber duel with her opponents. When Skywalker and Kenobi knocked her against her starfighter, Ventress unleashed a wave of dark side energy, capturing both Skywalker and Kenobi in a Force choke. Despite the distractions caused by the battle, the duel continued, though all three opponents were forced to dodge around the Dark Acolyte's damaged Ginivex-class starfighter.
Eventually, Skywalker and Kenobi disarmed Ventress of both of her lightsabers, and the unarmed Ventress was left cornered at lightsaber-point. Cody and Typhuss continued to fight the battle droids. When a second Separatist attack force landed on the planet, the Republic forces were forced to retreat from Quell. Kenobi recalled General Secura and the starfighters back to the Star Destroyer to retreat from the battle. Secura and the starfighters managed to make it to the Star Destroyer. The team managed to make it to the ship and successfully jumped into hyperspace back to Coruscant.
Battle of Sarrish[]
The Separatists planned an attack on Sarrish. The Confederacy of Independent Systems set together a heavy defense of turbolasers and OG-9 homing spider droids, making it nearly impossible for the Galactic Republic to commence a ground assault. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Commanders Cody and Typhuss led teams of ARC-170s and LAATs in their LAAT gunships. During the battle, teams of Vulture droids ambushed the LAAT squadrons, taking down Cody's gunship. After crashing into enemy lines, Cody, Typhuss and his surviving troopers made their way through the front lines and scaled a mountain which housed a heavy turbolaser.
The team destroyed the battle droids defending the turbolaser, where Cody captured the cannon and used it to shatter the enemy lines. Eventually, the battle droid army was mostly destroyed, and Sarrish was captured by the Republic. Regrouping at the remains of their gunship, the squad rallied to their victory. In the meantime, Kenobi encountered heavier fighting than anticipated in his own section of the campaign, receiving a minor hand wound. As Kenobi and the main 212th troops set up a staging area, they were soon joined there by Typhuss, Cody and his squad's survivors, who reported their own success with destroying the anti-aircraft gun. Yet despite the Republic's initial victories on Sarrish, the battle eventually turned against the 212th. The Separatists routed the Republic forces, inflicting a critical amount of casualties and resulting in the deaths of many clone troopers. Amidst the carnage of his comrades, Clone Captain CC-5576-39, nicknamed "Gregor" a veteran clone commando attached to the 212th and the leader of an elite clone squad tried to find help for his men, but he disappeared from the battlefield and was reported as missing in action.
Republic strategy conference[]
Typhuss later attended the Republic strategy conference aboard the Valor space station in the Carida system in order to discuss the war effort against the Separatists. The meeting was also attended by Jedi Generals Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker, Admiral Wilhuff Tarkin, and Typhuss's fellow clone commanders CC-2224 and CC-3636. A Separatist plot to sabotage the conference by ramming a Venator-class Star Destroyer which was ridden with rhydonium into the Valor space station was foiled by Gascon and the D-Squad. One of the members, R2-D2, triggered the bomb before it crashed into the space station, saving the lives of the Republic forces on the Valor.
The hunt for Ahsoka Tano[]
When Ahsoka Tano was framed for the murder of Letta Turmond, the orchestrator of a bombing at the Jedi Temple. Tano escaped from Republic Military custody at the Republic military base on Coruscant, venturing into the Coruscant Underworld to search for a way to clear her name. Believing that Tano was responsible for Turmond's murder, the Jedi High Council subsequently assigned Koon and Skywalker to track down the fugitive Padawan, with Wolffe and Commannder Typhuss, Captain Rex bringing along clone contingents from the Grand Army's Coruscant Guard and 501st Legion, respectively. Deploying on separate Republic police gunships, Koon's and Skywalker's search teams descended into the ventilation shaft portal to the Underworld, first heading to Level 1312 to follow a lead from the lower-level police. Upon reaching Level 1313's terminal 24, Typhuss, Wolffe and his comrades spotted Tano absconding with Separatist agent –turned– bounty hunter Asajj Ventress. Tano and Ventress activated the terminal gate's ray shield, thwarting direct pursuit and leading Skywalker to dispatch a group of probe droids after the two fugitives. Typhuss, Wolffe and his team of Coruscant Guard shock troopers then disembarked from the police gunship to monitor the probe droids on-site findings.
Before long, Tano was glimpsed with Ventress further down on Level 1312, and Wolffe and his troopers immediately went to apprehend them.
Upon being cornered and held at blaster-point by Wolffe's men, Tano attempted to order them to back down, but Wolffe refused to let her escape. A brawl ensued, with Ventress activating her lightsabers and cutting through the clone soldiers blasters. Tano also joined the fight, making sure that she and her criminal accomplice did not harm the troopers beyond rendering them unconscious. Wolffe grappled with Ventress, grabbing her from behind and lifting her off her feet, but she broke free of his grasp before knocking him into a pillar. Winded like the rest of his men, Wolffe was unable to prevent the pair of fugitives from escaping, though he notified Koon that Ventress had been involved with Tano's getaway. Typhuss, Wolffe and his team caught up with Tano at an abandoned munitions warehouse on Level 1315, finding her in a lower storage room. Although Tano pleaded with Wolffe to let her explain, he summarily stunned her unconscious, just as Koon and Skywalker arrived on the scene. To Skywalker's alarm, Wolffe's inspection of the crates revealed that they contained nano-droid explosives, of the same model that had been used to bomb the Jedi Temple.
Wolffe, Typhuss and Rex brought the still-stunned Tano onto one of the police gunships with Koon and Skywalker, who reported to Masters Yoda and Mace Windu during the flight back to the Jedi Temple. With the evidence stacked against her, Tano was expelled from the Jedi Order and put to trial for her alleged part in the bombing of the Temple. Though it was discovered that fellow Jedi Barriss Offee was the true culprit, having worked with Turmond and then framed Tano for her crimes, Tano chose not to rejoin the Order when offered readmittance by the High Council.
Battle of Ringo Vinda[]
Later during the Clone Wars, Typhuss, along with the 501st Legion, 125th Legion, CC-1139, Anakin Skywalker, and Jedi Masters Tiplar and Tiplee fought aboard a Separatist installation over the planet Ringo Vinda, commanded by the infamous Admiral Trench. Fives noticed Tup seemed confused and lost at various points during the battle. Though Tup dismissed it and said he was fine, he eventually became so disillusioned that he unconsciously killed one of his commanders, Jedi General Tiplar. Because of the incident, the Republic force was forced to retreat at the arrival of several Droidekas. Once Fives had apprehended Tup, Skywalker ordered an examination of Tup to find the reasoning behind his actions.
Typhuss, Fives, Kix, and Skywalker, Rex proceeded to interrogate the restrained Tup. Slipping back into his puzzling trance, Tup began to subconsciously state that "good soldiers follow orders" before attacking Tiplee, who, undeterred, telekinetically repelled him with the Force. Skywalker decided to have Tup transferred to the medical bay of one of the Republic fleet's Star Destroyers before he tried to harm anyone else. Once Kix had completed a series of scans on Tup, the mystery deepened. After Rex, Typhuss, Skywalker, Fives, and Tiplee entered the ward, Tup—who had been strapped to a bed—questioned Fives about what had happened to him, evidently displaying no knowledge of his murder of Tiplar. Tup then began to panic, and a 2-1B medical droid promptly sedated him. At Skywalker's prompting, Kix reported the results of his scans: Tup had passed all of them, so Kix believed that Tup's behavior was the result of a combat-related stress. Rex disagreed with Kix's diagnosis of an emotional breakdown, since all of them as clone troopers had been designed to withstand high amounts of stress, and Fives agreed. Rex and the others continued their conversation in the hallway outside, entertaining the possibility that the Separatists could have engineered Tup's breakdown by way of a virus—as Tiplee put it, biological warfare. Still, Kix advised that Tup undergo extensive examination back on Kamino, the only place with facilities that were equipped for that level of surgical scrutiny.
Whenever Fives attempted to reassure or even inform Tup of what happened, the trooper was mostly oblivious to his surroundings. Skywalker ordered him to be sent to Kamino for a more extensive analysis. However, as his medical shuttle departed, Admiral Trench deployed forces to intercept it and capture Tup, on the orders of Count Dooku. When Fives, Typhuss, Rex and Skywalker learned this, they launched their own mission to recover Tup.
After boarding in space and overtaking the Separatist shuttle carrying the stricken trooper, Fives found that Tup was safe, but his health was declining. Fives and Typhuss eventually insisted to Rex that they accompany him to Kamino. Rex allowed them to on the condition that they comply with all orders and remain with Tup for the entirety of the examination, to avoid further complications.
The mystery of Tup and Fives[]
With Skywalker's approval, Tup and his hovergurney were moved to the Star Destroyer's hangar. Rex, Fives, and Skywalker saw Tup off as he was ushered onto a waiting Nu-class attack shuttle for transport back to Kamino. Just as Tup's shuttle was about to leave the system with an escorting quartet of ARC-170 starfighters, Admiral Yularen and the bridge team aboard Skywalker's flagship lost contact with the craft. Rex joined Fives, Typhuss and Skywalker aboard an Eta-class shuttle to investigate the last known location of Tup's transport. There, they were met with a grim surprise: the shuttle's hull had been breached, with Rex theorizing that it was the work of Separatist buzz droids. Rex, Fives, Typhuss and Skywalker outfitted themselves in space-suited gear and entered the drifting Nu-class shuttle, finding nothing but carnage within: the crew and embarked clone trooper detail had all been massacred. Amidst the floating bodies, Skywalker found Tup's hovergurney with its restraints severed. Fives believed that the Separatists' kidnapping of Tup indicated that they were responsible for his breakdown, and Skywalker did not rule out that possibility. Returning to their Eta-class shuttle, Rex, Typhuss and his comrades followed Tup's exceedingly faint tracking signal to the Separatist-held side of the space station, specifically the enemy's principal hangar. Skywalker decided that the shuttle's clone trooper pilot would drop them off at the hangar, and Typhuss, Rex, and Fives would space-walk from there while the shuttle returned to the Republic fleet.
Upon reaching the Separatists' hangar, Rex, Typhuss and his comrades found it was occupied with hundreds of battle droids, some of which were loading Tup onto a Maxillipede shuttle. Rex voiced skepticism regarding their chances of surviving a direct confrontation with the droid army, earning Skywalker's comparison of his sentiment to that of the perpetually cautions Kenobi. As Tup's shuttle took off, Fives devised the idea of boarding the vessel via ascension cables, thereby avoiding the numerous droids in the hangar. Rex, Typhuss and Fives each attached a grappling extension to one of their blaster pistols and rappled onto the shuttle as it passed overhead, with Rex bringing along Skywalker. After entering the airlock, Rex and the others broke into the main cabin and took down the BX-series droid commandos guarding the barely conscious Tup. While Skywalker defeated the shuttle's commander, the super tactical droid Kraken, Rex fought his way to the cockpit and gunned down the pair of OOM pilot battle droids at the controls. With Rex at the helm, they immediately piloted the captured shuttle to Skywalker's flagship, since Fives noted that the ailing Tup's life signs were dropping: he was close to death. Sending Tup to Kamino was imperative for him to be cured.
Once Rex and the others were back aboard Skywalker's flagship, another vessel—a Consular-class cruiser designated as medical frigate 517—was prepared as Tup's transport. Skywalker assigned Rex to oversee the transfer, requiring a full report upon his return from Kamino. Prior to their departure, Fives and Typhuss asked for permission to accompany Rex, as Tup was his best friend. Rex granted Fives's and Typhuss's request but ordered them to proceed by the book so as to avoid further setbacks. Once they had arrived on the rainy Kamino, Rex and Typhuss, Fives ushered Tup and his hovergurney into the Tipoca City Military Complex, where they were received by Shaak Ti and Doctor Nala Se, Chief Medical Scientist of Kamino and one of the principal engineers of the Grand Army's cloning program. While Se and a team of clone troopers took Tup to an observation room, Ti informed Fives and Typhuss that they would be undergoing a complete medical exam. She reasoned that if a virus was the cause of Tup's behavior, then Fives and Typhuss had likely been exposed to the same contagion. Although apprehensive about leaving his friend's side, Fives and Typhuss agreed to do so if it would help pinpoint a cure for Tup. After Ti apprised him of the fact that Skywalker had ordered him back to the war zone, Rex told Fives and Typhuss to take care of each other as well as Tup before departing from Kamino.
Following the Ringo Vinda campaign, Rex, Typhuss and the 501st returned to Coruscant. In the intervening time, Tup died after a tumor was removed from his brain due to Fives's intervention. After disobeying orders and evading arrest on Kamino, Fives discovered that the tumor was actually an inhibitor chip—an inorganic cerebral implant that the Kaminoans had inserted into all of the clone troopers at the embryonic stage. In Tup's case, his inhibitor chip had corroded and malfunctioned, leading to his unstable behavior. Upon arriving on Coruscant with Ti to plead his case to Chancellor Palpatine, Fives allegedly attempted to assassinate Palpatine and escaped into the lower levels of the ecumenopolis. Following Fives's getaway, the entirety of Coruscant's security and clone trooper forces were allocated to a manhunt for the rogue ARC trooper, but Jedi involvement was not requested. As a result, Skywalker volunteered to head the Order's undercover investigation into the matter, with Rex and Typhuss joining his Jedi General in the search for Fives. According to Ti, Fives believed that he was the victim of a conspiracy, Separatist or otherwise. Ti also warned Skywalker that since Fives had extracted his inhibitor chip—as he had done for Tup—his behavior might be equally erratic as that of his late comrade.
It was not long before Rex, Typhuss and Skywalker received a promising lead in the form of a communiqué from Kix, who had run into Fives at the clone sports bar known as 79's. Kix relayed a set of coordinates where Fives had requested a meeting with Rex and, by extension, Skywalker. Rex and Skywalker took a police gunship to the specified location: a portal warehouse on Level 1325. After disembarking, Rex, Typhuss and Skywalker warily entered the darkened warehouse, blaster pistols drawn and lightsaber ignited, respectively. Inside the building, they called out to Fives, who responded by thanking them for trusting him and then asked them to drop their weapons. Once Fives said he was unarmed, Rex, Typhuss and Skywalker complied, setting down their weaponry on a nearby crate. However, it was not until Fives had trapped the pair in a ray shield that he emerged from the shadows, appearing disheveled and deranged. Fives appealed to his irate comrades that he did not have a choice, saying he had been framed because he had uncovered a massive deception, the scope of which reached the highest echelons of the Republic. Fives claimed that the inhibitor chip in every clone trooper would even make them follow orders to kill the Jedi—as Tup had done to Master Tiplar.
Rex, Typhuss and Skywalker did not know how to react to Fives's improbable claims, and their visible skepticism left Fives frustrated with their lack of belief in him. After Skywalker asked Fives to come with them, Rex assured Fives that they were listening to him and that their only intention was to provide help. Nevertheless, Fives refused, claiming that Palpatine would kill him. Fives implicated the Supreme Chancellor in the conspiracy, an allegation that Skywalker refuted without a second's hesitation. At that moment, Commander Fox and a contingent of Coruscant Guard shock troopers stormed into the warehouse, having pinpointed Fives's location via a probe droid. Although Fox ordered Fives to surrender, the rogue ARC trooper refused to do so and seized one of Rex's blaster pistols from the adjacent crate. Before Fives could fire his pilfered blaster, Fox shot first. Aghast, Rex, Typhuss and Skywalker watched from the inside of the ray shield as Fives collapsed to the floor, clutching at the lethal wound to his chest that Fox had inflicted. Once one of the shock troopers disabled the shield at Skywalker's order, Rex rushed to Fives's side, shouting that he needed a medic.
It was too late: Fives told Rex and Typhuss that the conspiracy was larger than anyone could have imagined, and his dying words made mention to a mission and nightmares that, for him, were finally over. Rex and Typhuss were devastated by the loss of their longtime comrade. All of Fox's Coruscant Guard troopers took off their helmets in honor of the fallen soldier.
In the wake of Fives's death, Palpatine's personal medical staff concluded via autopsies that the source of Tup's and Fives's disturbing breakdowns had been a parasite native to Ringo Vinda, which had led to the deterioration of their inhibitor chips and, consequently, their volatile behavior. Unbeknownst to Rex and his comrades, it was just as Fives had said: Palpatine's explanation was a cover-up on the part of his alter ego, the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, to mask an anti-Jedi directive that he and Count Dooku intended to execute via the clone troopers.
Seizure of Scipio[]
When the Confederacy invaded the planet Scipio, the headquarters of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, the Republic Senate authorized a mercy mission to secure the banks and prevent Count Dooku from wresting control of the entire galactic economy. Skywalker was appointed as the general in charge of the Republic fleet, joined by Rex, Typhuss and their men from the 501st. One of their primary objectives was to rescue Padmé Amidala, who had been on-world to recognize the inauguration of the Banking Clan's new leader, Rush Clovis, but had been trapped when the Separatists invaded and obliterated her Coruscant Guard security garrison. After their three-cruiser fleet reached the Scipio system, Rex, Typhuss, Skywalker, and their troops launched from Skywalker's flagship in a squadron of LAAT/i gunships. En route to bypass the Separatist blockade, Rex used a datapad to review initial scans of the city that housed the Banking Clan's Main Vault and concluded that Amidala was there, still alive. Lieutenant Hawk and other pilots, flying clone Z-95 starfighters, provided escort for Rex and the others to blast through the enemy droid starfighters and enter Scipio's atmosphere. Dooku thereafter withdrew his Confederate flotilla from the planet, abandoning his remaining droid forces stationed at the Main Vault.
Upon arrival at one of the Main Vault's landing platforms, Rex and Typhuss stormed out of the gunship with Skywalker and their men and opened fire on the squads of Separatist troops in the vicinity, including droid commandos, B2 super battle droids, and Vulture droids in walking mode. Rex, Typhuss and Skywalker soon found what remained of Amidala's felled security garrison, including the corpse of the officer in charge of the detachment, Clone Commander Thorn, buried under several super battle droids. In the ensuing lightfight, Typhuss, Rex and his men accepted the task of occupying the droid infantry on the landing platform and also provided covering fire for Skywalker, who pressed past the enemy forces and into the city to retrieve Amidala on his own. Skywalker reached Clovis's office and freed Amidala from Separatist custody there, but after a careening Vulture droid crashed into the spire atop of which the office was situated, Clovis sacrificed himself so that Skywalker could pull Amidala to safety. Following the Republic's triumphant seizure of Scipio, the remnants of the Banking Clan leadership blamed the late Clovis for the incident and conceded command of the banks to the Office of the Supreme Chancellor, transferring full economic power to Palpatine.
When Master Yoda made a later visit to the Sith homeworld of Korriban, known at that time as Moraband, the Sith Lords Darth Sidious and Darth Tyranus—the latter being Dooku's alter ego—engaged in an ancient ritual as a means of turning Yoda to the dark side. In the vision that Sidious and Tyranus concocted, Yoda found himself in a gunship with Rex, Typhuss, Skywalker, and a squad of four 501st troopers. The manifestation of Rex reported to that of Skywalker that they had detected a rogue shuttle slipping through Coruscant's security grid and that Dooku had been aboard the craft. Rex also revealed that according to their scans of an industrial sector on Coruscant, Dooku was meeting with a second person inside of the LiMerge Building, to where their gunship was headed. Though at first disoriented, Yoda ordered the mission to proceed: since Dooku was allegedly meeting with his Sith Master, Yoda believed it was imperative that they capture or else execute both Sith Lords. Upon touching down inside the building, Rex and Typhuss led the charge into the tower and sighted the two Sith Lords huddled over an altar basin, ordering his men to be wary of additional enemies. At Skywalker's word, Typhuss, Rex and his troopers opened fire on the Sith, but Tyranus reached out with tendrils of Force lightning to incapacitate Rex, Typhuss and his soldiers. Yoda's vision on Korriban ended after he sacrificed himself to defeat the hooded apparition of Sidious, with Sidious and Tyranus ultimately failing to break Yoda's spirit.
Final campaigns (19 BBY)[]
Battle of Cato Neimoidia[]
In an effort to bring the war to an early conclusion, the Republic launched an assault on Cato Neimoidia, home to Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray's redoubt. As the battle to capture Viceroy Gunray's majestic redoubt raged, Typhuss's Alpha Company and Cody's Squad Seven, led by Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, managed to penetrate the Separatist's inner-defenses and fought its way into the complex. While they were unable to capture the Viceroy himself, they were able to capture vital intelligence. In his hurry to evacuate the redoubt, Gunray left behind his mechno-chair, from the which the Republic was able to learn of the coming Separatist attack on the planet Belderone.
Mission to Endor[]
During the war, Master Secura, Commander Typhuss and Commander Bly investigated a deserted Separatist outpost in the Endor system. After discovering the base to be empty, (and finding remains of countless clone troopers and battle droids) Secura went out scouting, during which she encountered a lone battle droid. While removing its appendages, Secura was caught unaware by the native Ewok people and was shot with a tranquilizer dart. Secura awoke within an Ewok treehouse, and using the battle droid as a translator, learned that the natives believed her to be a forest spirit. As a spirit, it was her duty to vanquish the Beast in the Mouth of the Mountain. Secura, taking the droid along, complied. Reaching the cave, the Jedi Master tripped on a pile of bones, alerting the Beast to her presence. The Beast quickly impaled the battle droid with its claw, leaving Secura free to use the Force on collapsing parts of the ceiling, forcing them down upon the monster. Having fulfilled her duty as the Ewok's spirit, Secura returned to her Republic gunship, where Bly was waiting. But Typhuss returned to Destiny and Admiral Archer ordered a coruse for Coruscant. Dismissing her commander's worries, the pair, along with their squadron, headed to Felucia.
The Battle of Coruscant[]
The Confederacy, led by General Grievous, swept into the system, catching the Republic completely by surprise. The Confederate Navy hammered the few defending warships, destroying them, before assaulting the planet itself. Typhuss used the Shadow Blade to fight Separatist droid starfighters along with ARC-170 starfighters of the 187th Squadron.
Meanwhile, Grievous, along with his MagnaGuard droid elite, landed on the planet, heading for Chancellor Palpatine's secret bunker. Grievous fought his way there, leaving destruction in his wake, as several Jedi and dozens of clone troopers were killed. Grievous succeeded in taking Palpatine, before fleeing to his flagship in orbit, the Invisible Hand. However, the Separatists were unable to leave, as Republic reinforcements had arrived. The two fleets engaged each other, firing volleys back and forth. Two Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, who had just arrived at the battle, flew into the heart of it, determined to rescue Palpatine. Typhuss served in Squad Seven in an ARC-170 starfighter during the Battle of Coruscant under Commander Odd Ball, where he and his pilots launched from Ro-ti-Mundi to assist Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Though many of Odd Ball's pilots were killed in deadly dogfights with Vulture droid starfighters and droid tri-fighters, Typhuss's mission was a success, allowing Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker time to reach Invisible Hand in time to rescue Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. The duo, along with the now-freed Palpatine, were unable to escape, however, as Grievous's droids captured them. Skywalker and Kenobi were able to best his MagnaGuards, forcing the General to flee. With that, the Separatist fleet retreated, having lost much of their fleet. Chancellor Palpatine was safe in Republic hands. But Typhuss returned to Destiny and Admiral Archer ordered a coruse for Felucia.
Battle of Felucia[]
Sometime later Typhuss joined the unit at Felucia. Typhuss, Bly, Secura, and Ekria landed on Felucia and journeyed to the Nigkoe Detention Facility, where Offee and her apprentice, Zonder, were being held. While Ekria sliced into the center's shields, Typhuss, Bly and Secura fought their way through the guard droids and into the complex. Encountering a Gossam security guard, Secura demanded to be taken to the Jedi prisoners. The guard obliged, though it was Secura's cleavage rather than her mastery of the Force that had convinced the Gossam, much to Bly's confusion. Dispatching the guards inside Offee's cell, the trio rendezvoused with their targets, although the intended escape route was blocked by a massive droid army parade. Adapting to the situation, Bly used an ascension gun to carry Secura to the top of the building, Typhuss also used an ascension gun to get to the top of the building, with Zonder, Ekria and Offee close behind. The commander then destroyed the center's shield generator, allowing his troops to land and rescue them. Allowed some respite, Ekria was able to locate a way into Shu Mai's compound, outside the city of Kway Teow. Clearing the perimeter guards, Typhuss, Bly and the Jedi rode BARC speeders toward the compound while being pursued by Vulture droids. The pursuers were in turn destroyed by Republic ARC-170 starfighters, allowing Bly and his comrades to drop the Jedi off in a nearby swamp. From there, Secura and her fellow Jedi were able to enter Shu Mai's compound. To Secura's frustration, the Confederate leader was long gone, but Ekria was able to disable the locks on the main entrance nonetheless. Typhuss and his troops and Bly and his troops started to make their way into the building, but were stalled when deadly toxins were let into the air by the Separatists. As soon as Ekria realized that it was a trap, Secura ordered all her troops to evacuate the compound. Moments after Typhuss, Bly and the Jedi had escaped, Shu Mai's base of operations exploded, resulting in a considerable loss of clone troopers. In addition to the destruction of Shu Mai's compound, the toxins were released into the Felucian water supply, part of a Confederate measure to make sure the world did not fall into the hands of the Republic. Secura acted quickly to stop the spreading of the toxin, splitting her force into three groups that would each attack a water treatment facility. Offee led one squad to Har Gau, Ekria, Zonder, and new addition Drake Lo'gaan attacked Jiaozi, while Secura, Typhuss and Bly advanced on Niango. Adapting to the situation, Bly and his men made use of the native gelagrubs as mounts.
Imperial Service (19 BBY–12 BBY)[]
Order 66 and Battle of Half Axe Pass[]
For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic, before the dark times...before the Empire.
—Obi-Wan Kenobi
As the 52nd Star Corps and the 327th Star Corps pushed through the planet's southern hemisphere, Typhuss received a transmission from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, ordering him to execute Order 66. Order 66 branded Aayla Secura and the rest of the Jedi in command of the corps as enemies of the Republic. When Aayla was distracted by a low-flying bird, Typhuss and his troops and Bly and his lieutenants poured blaster fire into Jedi General Aayla Secura, continuing to fire on Secura even after her body had hit the ground. When Bly and Typhuss fired they made sure the death was quick and painless. The Star Destroyer Destiny transported Typhuss, the 52nd Star Corps and Alpha Company and the 42nd Assault Squad back to Coruscant, but before that could happen they were ordered to the planet Kesh. The 52nd Star Corps and the clone troopers attacked Half Axe Pass on Kesh, where the CIS holdouts and the Keshiki rebels were holding out. The battle was quick, as the rebels and droids were no match for clone troopers and ARC troopers. The Jedi and one of the rebels survived, and escaped, and Vill led the division to the space port, where they probably went. But it was too late and the Jedi escaped. The Star Destroyer Destiny transported Typhuss, the 52nd Star Corps and Alpha Company and the 42nd Assault Squad back to Coruscant. After containing the toxins and saving the world, the newly established Galactic Empire absorbed Felucia into its control. Presumably, the 52nd went on to capture Felucia. It continued to faithfully serve the Galactic Empire after its creation.
Operation Knightfall[]
Typhuss escorted Darth Sidious to the Jedi Temple. As the fighting began to die down, Darth Sidious arrived at the Temple to check on Vader's progress. Vader knelt before his Master and was congratulated by the Dark Lord. The apprentice then traveled to Mustafar to eliminate the leaders of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a faction opposing the Republic that had seceded three years prior, assembled there by Sidious for "talks" to end the conflict.
Mustafar[]
Emperor Palpatine was concerned with the status of his newest apprentice, whom he sensed was in grave danger. Thus, Thire and his shock troopers along with Typhuss accompanied Palpatine to Mustafar, where they brought the medical capsule to the gravely injured Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader.
Eriadu[]
A month following the execution of Order 66, Typhuss, Alpha Company, CO-2230 tracked a Jedi Master, who had survived Order 66, to the Outer Rim Territories world Eriadu. After noticing tracks on the ground in the deeper levels of the world, CO-2230 and three other clones trailed the Jedi until they were in a dead-end alley with no sign of their prey. When a subordinate of his asked about the need of their mission, the stormtrooper dictated that Order 66 remained in effect. They found the Jedi Master and the clones, Typhuss, CO-2230 opened fire on the Jedi. They were able to kill the Jedi.
Jedi Temple guard duty[]
Imperial Jedi Temple garrison[]
Typhuss was assgined to the Imperial Jedi Temple garrison by Commander Cody and was ordered to kill any Jedi that returned to the Jedi Temple. Three months after the end of the Clone Wars, Commander Thire of the Coruscant Guard was also assigned to the garrison at the Jedi Temple. A group of Jedi returned to the Temple to retake it from the Empire. Thire and Typhuss led the Stormtroopers in battle against the Jedi. Typhuss and Thire led the shock troopers against the three Jedi Knights and were able to kill the three Jedi Knights. The shock troopers, Typhuss and Thire killed the last two Jedi.
Battle of New Plympto[]
In 19 BBY, a month after Emperor Palpatine abolished the Galactic Republic in order to create the Galactic Empire, Typhuss was one of millions of clone troopers who continued his service as a stormtrooper. By this time, Typhuss was a regiment commander in the elite 501st Legion, and thus he answered directly to the Emperor's second-in-command, the Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Around the same time, the Imperial subjugation of New Plympto proceeded at a slow pace with great difficulty. The native Nosaurians, former members of the Separatist Alliance, created their own resistance cell after the Clone Wars was concluded. Ironically, they found a new ally in a former enemy. General Dass Jennir, a Jedi survivor of Order 66, joined the Nosaurians' fight against the Empire.
As a result of the Nosaurians' ongoing rebellion, Emperor Palpatine dispatched a stormtrooper regiment of the 501st Legion, under the leadership of Commander Vill and Commander Typhuss, to New Plympto with orders to bring the planet under Imperial control by annihilating the rebels. After their arrival, Vill and his soldiers steadily pushed the Nosaurians back until the rebels were forced to make a final stand at Half-Axe Pass.
The Battle of Half-Axes Pass was a complete massacre in which the Nosaurian army was almost utterly destroyed. Those who surrendered after the battle were summarily executed by the 501st Legion. Their families were captured and, by order of Emperor Palpatine, Commander Vill had them all processed into slave market on Orvax IV. Afterward, the clone commander reported the details of the battle to Darth Vader via holocomm.
As the 501st prepared to depart the conquered planet of New Plympto, Commanders Vill and Typhuss returned to Vader's flagship, the Imperator-class Star Destroyer Exactor. Vill and Typhuss reported directly to Commander Appo, Vader's second-in-command in the 501st Legion, who wanted to know about an infiltration incident that occurred after the battle. Vill, unaware that the infiltrator was the Jedi Dass Jennir, said that a Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter was stolen from the 203rd Division and used to create a distraction that enabled most of the grounded civilian ships to escape from New Plympto.
Mukhana[]
The 501st followed Vader to Murkhana, where they confronted a group of clones who had refused to execute Order 66. Vader killed most of them and had the rest taken into custody, and then led his men to Kashyyyk once more, where they fought against a group of Jedi who had survived Order 66. Led by Commander Appo, they killed and enslaved tens of thousands of Wookiees in an effort to gain workers for the Emperor's new secret project, the Death Star superweapon. Some of the Jedi, including Master Roan Shryne, were killed. However, before dying, Shryne managed to kill Appo. Vader then brought a unit from the 501st with him on a visit to the devastated planet of Honoghr. There, they were attacked by the native Noghri, who proved to be a match for the elite stormtroopers. Impressed, Vader devised a plan to enslave the species and use them as his personal assassins.
First Battle of Kashyyyk[]
During the Battle of Kashyyyk in 19 BBY, Typhuss fought in the battle using the Shadow Blade to attack Kashyyyk when the Empire attacked the Wookiee homeworld. The battle was later won by the Galactic Empire.
Rescue of Garoche Tarkin[]
In late 19 BBY, Emperor Palpatine dispatched Darth Vader on an assignment to rescue Admiral Garoche Tarkin, the son of Moff Wilhuff Tarkin who disappeared while hunting down insurgents in the Atoa system of the Ghost Nebula—a barely explored area in the Expansion Region of the galaxy. Commanders Voca and Typhuss and two battalions of the 501st Legion were placed under Vader's direct command for the mission. Captain Shale, a friend of Admiral Tarkin and trusted subordinate to Moff Tarkin, was sent on the mission as well. Once the Imperials arrived at the planet Atoa, the stormtrooper clones launched a brutal and merciless assault on an Atoan city, killing most of its defenders while Vader personally led the attack. Commander Voca obeyed the Sith Lord's orders without question hesitance, even when commanded to execute anyone old enough to hold a weapon, as well as to drown defenseless prisoners in a river.
After locating the remains of Admiral Tarkin's missing Star Destroyer, Voca and squadron of 501st V-wing starfighters assisted Vader and Shale with their inspections of the destroyed warship. However, the Imperials were caught completely off guard by a group of Atoan starfighters, mainly because the 501st failed to thoroughly sweep the area and thus fell into a trap. Regardless, superior technology, superb training and the leadership of a Sith Lord helped the 501st to turn the tide and defeat their ambushers. When a captured pilot revealed to Vader that Tarkin was held on an unknown world that was covered in tar-pits, Vader ordered Voca and Typhuss to assemble the 501st and prepare for a ground assault.
The rescue attempt ultimately proved to be costly effort. The planet's tar-pits made it almost impossible for the AT-AT Walkers to operate effectively. As a result, more than a few Walkers, including several 501st squads, were lost while trying to attack an Atoan city that was built to move like a ship on the tar-pits. The direct assault, however, was only meant to serve as a distraction so that Vader, Shale Lady Saro and a company of storm commandos could infiltrate the city and execute a stealth attack. Though they succeeded in capturing the bridge crew, they failed to retrieve Tarkin since the admiral was not in the city as they were led to believe.
Up until the botched attempt to rescue Tarkin on the tar-pit covered world, the 501st Legion suffered few casualties. But on Darth Vader's Star Destroyer, a mutiny broke out and caught the Imperials completely by surprise. Shale betrayed the Empire and incited the storm commandos to commit the ultimate act of treachery by attempting to assassinate Vader. Although Vader survived the attempt on his life, most of the ship's crew were not as fortunate. All of the officers were executed and many stormtroopers were killed by their mutinous clone brothers. Commander Voca and the troopers with him and Commander Typhuss and the troopers with him managed to survive long enough for Vader to assist them against the commandos.
After executing the last of the traitors on the Star Destroyer, Vader and his remaining troop were forced to evacuate the warship due to Shale's sabotage. Though they managed to escape before the vessel's destruction, their shuttle was severely damaged after crash landing on another unknown world in the Atoa system. Vader, Voca and eight stormtroopers survived the crash; the rest of the 501st soldiers were dead. The Imperials were then ambushed by a large force of Atoan insurgents. Outnumbered and exhausted, the 501st were utterly unprepared to defend themselves, thus forcing Vader to confront the enemy alone while Voca and his troops tried to escape to safety. Their path was cut off, however, by the traitor Shale and a group of insurgents. Shale half-halfheartedly apologized to the commander before ordering his men to execute the last soldiers of Darth Vader's lost command.
Despite the loss of Commander Voca and the two battalions of the 501st Legion, Darth Vader was ultimately able to complete his true mission for the Emperor, which was to assassinate Garoche Tarkin so that his father would grow to hate the Empire's enemies even more than he already did. At first, Vader was captured and rendered helpless. But his self-hatred and desperation strengthened the dark side of the Force within him, thus allowing him to break free and eventually kill Shale, Lady Saro and Garoche Tarkin, all of whom had betrayed him and the Empire. Though he nearly killed himself in the process, Emperor Palpatine was able to have Vader retrieved and repaired on Coruscant.
Second Battle of Kashyyyk[]
During the Second Battle of Kashyyyk in 18 BBY Typhuss used the Shadow Blade again to attack Kashyyyk when the Empire attacked the Wookiee homeworld again, when Darth Vader, sensed a Jedi Knight's presence on the planet and concluded the native Wookiee race was harboring a fugitive Jedi. The Jedi, Kento Marek, organized the Wookiees on the planet into battle, hoping to defend themselves. The battle was later won by the Galactic Empire after the death of Kento Marek.
Separatist-Imperial War[]
Typhuss fought in the Separatist-Imperial War which was a short-lived, year-long conflict between the newly formed Galactic Empire and the faltering Confederacy of Independent Systems. During the war Typhuss fought in a number of battles such as the Siege of Coruscant, the Battle of Malastare, the Battle of Acrolis, the Battle of Corellia, the Battle of Corulag and the Battle of Anaxes. With the Treaty of Acrolis in 17 BBY, the war was over.
Battle of Mustafar[]
Shortly after the death of Secura, the Republic became the Galactic Empire, following Palpatine's Declaration of a New Order. Typhuss continued to serve under Palpatine's new regime and was sent to Mustafar to put down a droid rebellion along with the stormtroopers of the 501st Legion. The members of the 501st Legion, under command of Vader, were transported to Mustafar by an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer to crush Gizor Dellso's uprising. However, the ship's hangar was immediately invaded by one of the HMPs from Gizor Dellso's navy, which dispatched OOM pilot battle droids and Droid marines onto the ship. Although one of the pilots panicked when the Empire failed to launch starfighters, the Imperial Officer sent troops out, which held the droids back. The Imperial Marines used their rocket launchers and thermal detonators on the gunship, while the TIE pilots used time bombs. After the gunship was destroyed, the marines and pilots then used their blasters to eliminate the remaining invaders. 501st pilots manned their starfighters, and after destroying a small number of Dellso's fighters, successfully knocked out the shields on the Providence-class destroyer. The vulnerable vessel was then pounded by turbolaser blasts from the nearby Star Destroyer, inflicting massive damage to all critical systems. Dellso's space blockade had been demolished, however, his ground forces were still ready for attack. Unusually, Darth Vader sent a personal request to his stormtroopers, ordering them to retrieve a Belbullab-22 starfighter and return it to the Star Destroyer's hangar. 501st troopers were deployed on a platform outside the droid facility on Mustafar. Many had just stepped foot on the platform when droids shot them dead from the open windows of the entrance corridor. As B-2 battle droids scurried out onto the landing platform, the 501st was able to repel them. They managed to secure their landing zone, then flooded the corridors and stormed the lava observatory room, which gave them access to an outside walkway. With even remnants of the feared IG-100 MagnaGuards striking at their ranks, the 501st Legion managed to take command over an overlook station from the droid forces. Then, the regrouped stormtroopers rushed into the factory control center, where they were able to destroy both of the droid prototype schematics of a new, unfinished battle droid prototype, ruining Dellso's plans of gaining the upper hand in possible future battles. A stormtrooper carrying an orbital strike beacon had been shot, and once retrieved, the beacon was set on the overlook to signal for the orbiting Star Destroyer to bombard the base. However, Gizor Dellso and his Geonosian bodyguards appeared, in a last ditch effort to win the battle. They fired with sonic blasters, but were wiped out in short order. The troopers had just enough time to depart when their overhead forces executed an orbital bombardment command on the Mustafar complex, completely demolishing the facility and the droid factory.
Battle of Kamino[]
In 12 BBY, Typhuss served in the Battle of Kamino against anti-imperial clone troopers. At last, seven years into the Imperial era and after the end of the Clone Wars, the clone anti-Imperial troopers made their one and only stand when found out during the gory Battle of Kamino. Cloners who were just below the point of being prepared for war, were astonished when the stormtroopers of the 501st Legion uncovered the plot and initiated a massive assault on Tipoca City. Boba Fett, yet another clone, had been hired to lead the stormtroopers into battle because he was also born and raised in Tipoca City and had an unexpected strategic advantage. After both cloning facilities were captured by Imperial forces, the rest of the clone troopers were crowded onto the outdoor platforms and massacred. None of the clone anti-Imperial troopers were known to have survived. As for their creators, their bodies were disintegrated in an enormous explosion and their true plans remained a mystery to the Empire. Because of the anti-Imperial clone troopers, the Emperor decided that having all of the Stormtrooper Corps cloned after the same man, made it far too vulnerable to corruption. As such the corps became composed of not only Jango clones, but clones from various templates and normal recruits. After this, the Imperial 501st Legion, was the only company to remain comprised only of Jango clones. After the battle on Kamino Typhuss left the Empire and escaped to the planet Felucia where he lived with Jedi Master Shaak Ti until her death in 3 BBY.
Escape to Felucia[]
Typhuss stole a TIE fighter and headed for Felucia. After arriving on Felucia, Typhuss landed his stolen TIE fighter on the planet. Master Shaak TI and her apprentice Maris Brood thought that the Empire had found them. Master Shaak Ti and Maris Brood and a number of Felucians got ready to battle the pliot of the Imperial TIE fighter. The pliot got out of the fighter and Shaak Ti knew who it was: former clone trooper CC-2009, a clone trooper that Shaak Ti worked with during the Clone Wars. Maris knew the clone as well, the one who had killed Jedi Master Aayla Secura during Order 66. At first Master Shaak Ti didn't want Typhuss to live with them until Typhuss told her that he just left the Empire after the Battle of Kamino. Shaak TI allowed the clone trooper to live on the planet and hide with them from the Empire.
The Death of Shaak Ti[]
Typhuss spent many years in hiding with Jedi Master Shaak Ti on the planet Felucia. However, in 3 BBY, her forces on Felucia were overwhelmed by Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Galen Marek, codenamed Starkiller. She engaged him in a lightsaber duel, but was killed by the apprentice. Later Typhuss joined the Brotherhood of Loyalists after Shaak Ti's death.
The Brotherhood of Loyalists[]
For 8 months Typhuss fought in many battles against the Empire, helping the Brotherhood attack the Galactic Empire until the battle at Ando Prime.
Brotherhood Battle[]
Fox later tracked two 52nd Star Corps troopers to Ando Prime, where he and some commandos fought off the Brotherhood of Loyalists. Fox showed Typhuss two dead 52nd troopers killed by the Brotherhood. Typhuss said I guess I picked the wrong side. Fox arrested Typhuss. Typhuss and Fox made it to the gunships and the LAAT gunship took off towards Coruscant. Rebel ships ambushed the Imperial LAAT and the gunship sped down towards the surface of a jungle planet.
Galactic Civil War[]
Battle of Kamino[]
Typhuss fought in the Battle of Kamino, when the Rebels attacked Kamino, they were led by General Rahm Kota and Starkiller. Typhuss and Boba Fett attacked the Rebel Frigate Salvation and took Eclipse hostage, escaping just before Starkiller could free her. Fett brought Eclipse before Vader, who refused to pay Fett's bounty until Starkiller was on the planet. Typhuss and his squad of Stormtroopers fought against Rebel commandos and Rebel troopers, killing many of them. Typhuss witnessed Vader's capture at the hands of Starkiller and General Kota. The battle was a victory for the Rebels because Starkiller captured Darth Vader.
Return to Couruscant[]
After returning to Coruscant, the New Republic attacked the city. After the battle Typhuss joined the New Republic.
New Republic and Galactic Alliance[]
New Republic and beyond[]
Later Typhuss served in the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance, still wearing his clone armor. Typhuss fought in the war against the Yuuzhan Vong. After the Yuuzhan Vong were forced out of the galaxy, Typhuss served in the Galactic Alliance after the Galactic Alliance overthrew the New Republic. The Jedi soon overthrew the Galactic Alliance and became the next government, and later started the Confederation of Free Planets.
Confederation of Free Planets Service[]
Confederation of Free Planets[]
The Jedi soon overthrew the Galactic Alliance and became the next government, and later started the Confederation of Free Planets, which Typhuss and the rest of the clones worked under and became part of the military. They each got assigned a Jedi general to work under. During the time of the Confederation of Free Planets, Typhuss like every clone trooper commander that was alive by then, and other CFP commanders, worked under a Jedi General. Typhuss worked under Ozzik Ozzel along with Fox. The base was attacked by bounty hunters led by Cad Bane. Typhuss and his brothers battled the bounty hunters and won the battle. Hours later Yuuzhan Vong starships attacked the base and another battle took place. Later Confederate commandos and ARC troopers made their way through the base and took it over, freeing the system from Vong occupation. During the Second Yuuzhan Vong Invasion, Typhuss fought in the Battle of Pantora against Yuuzhan Vong troops. The LAAT gunships launched from the Destiny made it through the blockade, as Admiral Archer's Star Destroyers engaged the Yuuzhan Vong worldships. Later Typhuss went to Ort Plutonia with a squad of clone troopers. Later Alpha 373 was killed by a Death Watch trooper. Typhuss found out that Hevy tried to stab Alpha 360 in the back after the death of Alpha 373, but Fordo shot him, Heavy was only injured. Hevy was taken to a cell by Confederate troops. Soon, the Death Watch army attacked, and Typhuss and the rest of the Confederate troops were pinned down at their base. Afterwards, the rest of the troops overwhelmed the Mandalorian infantry. Later Typhuss fought in the Battle of Centax 8 against the Yuuzhan Vong forces. Later Typhuss was ordered to execute Order 66 again in 8 ABY and he help to kill the Jedi. Later Typhuss was sent to the aquatic planet Aqualish to take it back along with Admiral Archer. The battle at Aqualish was won by the Confederation. The Star Destroyers arrived in the Endor System and docked with the new battlestation. Typhuss helped to kill escaped Vong warriors from cell block 1138. Later Typhuss fought in the Battle of Endor and later the Battlemoon was destroyed. During the battle Typhuss got in a fight with a Jedi, Typhuss killed the Jedi, but lost his left arm. It was replaced by a cybernetic arm. Later Typhuss fought in the Battle of Antamont on the world of Antamont against the Jedi forces.
New Galactic Empire[]
Later Typhuss was forced to become part of the New Galactic Empire after it replaced the Confederation of Free Planets. During his time with the Empire, Typhuss had problems with an Imperial Inquisitor named Rinzler who disliked him. Later Typhuss went on a mission with Fox and Inquisitor Rinzler to Anaxes to destroy a weapon made by the Jedi. The team got inside the base to destroy the weapon but the Jedi set the auto destruct to make sure that the Empire didn't get it's hands on it. The team got out before the base was destroyed. After the attack on Anaxes, the New Galactic Empire's Imperial Intelligence discovered a new Jedi Temple, almost finished, located on Tython, and heavily guarded by Jedi and Remnant personnel. It was discovered that the Galactic Emperor was a traitor and was dealing with the Jedi. He was found and killed during the battle. Typhuss and the others were able to destroy the New Jedi Temple. Later Typhuss was sent to Azkaban to take back the Azkaban Imperial Prison from the Jedi and the Remnant. Typhuss and the other clone trooper commanders stormed the prison and fought their way to the control room killing many Remnant troopers but Typhuss and the other clone troopers were forced to retreat from Azkaban so the Empire could bombard the planet. Typhuss and the other clone troopers made to the gunships and picked up several 212th survivors and returned to their Star Destroyers. After another hour of fighting, the Jedi and Remnant retreated from Azkaban and then Destiny jumped into hyperspace back to Coruscant.
Promotion to Captain and the Coruscant Guard[]
Sometime after the attack on Anaxes, Typhuss was promoted to ARC trooper Captain by the Emperor. Soon Typhuss joined Rancor Contingent, an ARC trooper unit within the Empire. Sometime after the attack on Azkaban, Typhuss became a member of the Coruscant Guard and Commander of the Guard after he became an ARC trooper captain.
Alpha Zeta War[]
Battle of Seswenna[]
After the Second Jedi Rebellion was halted and the Alpha Zeta Insectoids attacked and started the Alpha Zeta War, Typhuss served in the Battle of Seswenna on the ground with CM-9797, Draco Malfoy, and CC-1010, leading troops into battle. In the battle, Typhuss used Kashyyyk trooper armor, to blend in with the terrian. The battle was later won by the Empire.
Assault on Malfoy Manor[]
Typhuss was sent to Malfoy Manor, a large palace used by the Malfoy family on Chandrila. It was attacked by the Insectoids, Typhuss and Snipe and the others went there to take it back, in the last few minutes of the battle, a squad of Malfoy Cartel Red Guards and infantry arrived and some of the Insectoids betrayed the Zeta Republic and Draco Malfoy, and Imperial captain, betrayed the Empire, and due to their casualties from the Republic, the Imperial troopers were easily defeated and the survivors were forced to flee.

It was a lose for the Cartel, and when Draco retreated in his shuttle, Typhuss and two other Rancor Contingent ARC troopers, Ben and Jim snuck on board the shuttle and boarded the Cartel flagship as they retreated.
Battle over Coruscant[]
Typhuss fought in the Battle over Coruscant, when Snipe and his men went on board to rescue Typhuss and the other two, but Snipe ended up getting in a fight with Malfoy and his assassin wife, Pansy Parkinson. Snipe was killed by Parkinson when she shot him in the back. The battle was a major victory for the Cartel, because of the capture of the Galactic Emperor and the death of one of the Empire's best commanders.

Typhuss teamed up with Rinzler and several Shadow Guards, and the rest went with the general. While checking an outer platform, Rinzler and Typhuss found him. Rinzler and Typhuss opened fire, but he dodged the shots. Typhuss and Rinzler pinned him down with chains. After securing the chains, Rinzler and the Shadow Guards left Typhuss alone with him. Nicole Trager ran up to Typhuss and before he could do anything she knocked him out. Typhuss was taken to a medbay and later was sent to Ryloth.
Last stand on Ryloth and death[]
In 15 ABY, after landing on Ryloth, Typhuss and the others found the base. After killing the guards, they freed Leeta and Tarna, who was weakened by a shot in her arm, and several other Twi'leks and stormtroopers. Typhuss and Fox stayed behind to destroy the reactor core. They were able to destroy the reactor core and were killed.
Legacy[]
Typhuss's legacy continued when his son Jonathan Heron joined the Imperial military in 33 ABY. His son was mentored by his two friends, former Shadow Guard Lieutenant, now Royal Guard Captain, Aero and Grand Admiral Sam Beckett Archer. Typhuss's legacy continued when his grandson John Heron joined the Imperial military.
Equipment[]
Weapons[]
He carried twin DC-17 hand blasters but also utilized the more standard blaster rifles and thermal detonators. Typhuss also used a DC-15A blaster rifle and a DC-15S blaster carbine. Typhuss carried several things in his belt, such as a comlink, a medpack, and blaster clips. Typhuss has a Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor named the Shadow Blade which he used during the Clone Wars and during the time of the Galactic Empire, the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance and later the Confederation of Free Planets. During the time of the New Galactic Empire Typhuss used a TIE Advanced x1 fighter, the Annihiliator.
Armor[]
Phase I[]
Early in the Clone Wars his armor looked like Gearshift's armor with yellow markings on it. Later his Phase I armor looked like Commander Gree's during the Mission to Alzoc III. Later in the war Typhuss also wore a kama and pauldron, and his helmet displayed Jaig eyes. His helmet featured a rangefinder, which was a tool more common among Advanced Recon Commandos. When required, Typhuss would also wear jetpacks or other mission-specific gear, such as customized clone cold assault trooper armor.
ARC trooper armor[]
His ARC trooper armor bore similar blue markings to ARC trooper Fives's armor, however, were organized in a striped pattern like ARC trooper Fives's armor.
501st Legion armor[]
Following the Third Battle of Kamino, Typhuss joined the 501st Legion and was given 501st clone trooper armor with blue markings on it.
Experimental Phase II armor[]
He wore experimental Phase II clone trooper armor. Typhuss had blue markings on his experimental Phase II clone trooper armor with a Rangefinder on his helmet. He also had a special Pauldron that not only covered his chest, but also covered and protected his abdomen. On it, there were four blue square dots. His helmet was marked with a straight blue line as well as his body armor.
Phase II[]
Phase II armor was introduced in 21 BBY, and slowly replaced Phase I armor in the months following. Typhuss upgraded to Phase II armor that was Clone shock trooper armor. Typhuss upgraded his Phase I 501st armor to the new Phase II 501st armor. When working with the 42nd Assault Squad, Typhuss had Phase II armor with green-marked camouflaged scout armor for jungle duty. When working with Alpha Company, Typhuss had armor with gray-marked Phase II armor that looked like the armor of the 41st Elite Corps. During the Battle of Felucia in 19 BBY, Typhuss had armor that looked like Commander Bly's. Another set of Phase II armor Typhuss used during the Battle of Felucia was one with striped yellow markings running the length of the armor and a red pauldron. During the early part of the battle Typhuss used armor that was clone shock trooper armor. Typhuss had another set of Phase II armor with striped green markings running the length of the armor and a green pauldron. Phase II armor was the basis of the stormtrooper armor later worn by the soldiers of Emperor Palpatine's Galactic Empire.
Stormtrooper armor[]
Typhuss's Stormtrooper armor looked like ARC trooper Captain Colt's armor, that CC-2187 used during the Clone Wars. Shortly after the Battle of Mustafar Typhuss replaced his clone shock trooper armor with new Stormtrooper armor.
Personality and traits[]
A loyal and no-nonsense commander, Typhuss shared easy camaraderie with Generals Aayla Secura and Shaak Ti. His battlefield exploits and good leadership skills had earned him respect of both clones and Jedi alike. Typhuss was a cautious trooper and a brilliant strategist. He was often teamed up with Captain Rex and Commander Cody and enjoyed friendship with them. Typhuss was also friends with Commander Bly. Typhuss possessed especially excellent close combat skills. While Typhuss had developed a sense of respect for those who considered him as a friend, like most other clones, his thoroughly ingrained loyalty to the Republic was the dominating trait of his character.
Typhuss respected Secura's talents, namely her ability to successfully complete missions in a prompt fashion. He acknowledged that the Jedi were more suitable to command than the clones due to their natural ability with the Force, which heightened their coordination. He appreciated her sentiment that personal feelings were not as important as battlefield objectives, and he wished other Jedi would exhibit her restraint in such matters. His loyalty to Secura did not stop him from feeling alarmed at the recklessness of other Jedi generals. Typhuss and Secura's relationship became more personal during the war, making their method of operation less and less formal in the waning months of the conflict. However, even friendship could not override Typhuss's ingrained loyalty to the Republic, as he unquestioningly gunned down Secura in 19 BBY. Later in his life, Typhuss became cynical and bitter because of the changes that were introduced by the New Order, specifically the alterations to the Imperial Military. Though a proud veteran of the Clone Wars, Typhuss felt nothing except contempt for the Stormtrooper Corps. As one of the last remaining clones of Jango Fett, he felt isolated and alone in his hatred for the birth-born human recruits who came to dominate the ranks of a military that was once the exclusive province of Fett's progeny. From Typhuss's point of view, enlisted personnel were inferior soldiers compared to the original clone troopers. He regarded the former Grand Army of the Republic as a once truly incredible fighting force, and so he resented the reforms which he believed to be responsible for a significant decrease in the combat effectiveness of the Grand Army's Imperial successor.
Thus he developed a sense of nostalgia for his past as a commander of clone troopers; enlisted stormtroopers were nothing other than expendable resources to him. Furthermore, Typhuss also felt that his low regard for birth-born troopers would have been shared by his genetic template, Jango Fett, had he still been alive. Ultimately, Typhuss was convinced that Fett would have killed the enlisted troops if he had lived to see what had become of his legacy.
