Alright Crix Regiment! Being a good soldier means to do what is best for the Republic! Not this so-called Empire! We fight until the end as a seemingly unstoppable force to destroy it... and some of our brothers
—CC-17-6288 "Tangar" after the issue of Order 66 and the formation of the Galactic Empire
CC-17-6288, nicknamed "Tangar," was a legendary veteran clone trooper officer and Advanced Recon Commando who was considered to be one of the best clones in the Grand Army of the Republic by many Jedi Generals, Republic officials, and other high-ranking clone officers and held the military rank of Clone Trooper Marshal Commander and the position of clone trooper regimental commander in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Like all clones in the Grand Army of the Republic, Tangar was bred from the human male Mandalorian bounty hunter named Jango Fett. That means, like most clones, his hair was black, his eyes were brown, his skin was tan, and he was 1.83 meters tall.
He personally commanded the 8th Crix Regiment, or more officially, the 8th Attack Siege Hardcore Defence Security and Mechanical Specialist Regiment, or shortened as the 8th ASHDSMS Regiment. Tangar personally choose the name Crix for this regiment, as the Republic allowed the best clones in the army command their own regiment, and that meant only sometimes Jedi planned and plotted with this regiment if it was necessary. These few clones selected acted on their feet and didn't need a Jedi to help, like Tangar. Most of all Jedi and other clone troopers in the Republic never referred to him by his clone operating number but by "Tangar" as a sign of respect. He had some of the best strategies of any clone officers and was considered by Kaminoans to be the perfect role model for any clone trooper to follow, apart from his independence and uncertain loyalty. On top of that his soldiers of the 8th ASHDSMS Regiment were considered by many to be close to or as elite for any situation as the Clone Commandos. He had a very unique personality of doing things right, but not necessary by-the-book. He wore heavily modified armor that was not standard clone armor, but a mix of the clones plastoid armor and Beskar steel. It was Beskar surrounded by plastoid armor to make them look just as defenseless as all other clone units. Tangar painted his armor with orange and added obscure features that most Commanders did not have like a modified jetpack. His troopers were also give the Plastoid-Beskar armor and were allowed to grow their personalities and customize their armor by Tangar, giving the whole regiment a distinct look, although most troopers decided to use similar orange deco to his as a sign of gratitude and honor.
Biography[]
Early life[]
CC-17-6288 was born on the watery world of Kamino in Tipoca City, the leading and highest production clone facility on the planet. His growth acceleration chamber was located in the smallest chamber section - the commanders section. There were more captains, lieutenants, sergeants, and troopers in their respective chamber rooms. The commanders were grown different in their jars and their inhibitor chips gave them more abilities, authority, and freedom than other clones. Tangar was no different. When he was 2 standard years old he was put into a special class for clone commanders, rather than the other officers' classes and trooper classes. There he and the other commanders developed more independence and understanding with complex gadgets, holo-puzzles, and clone protocols. As he got older he learned things more like understanding of possible enemy tactics and drills for specific situations, like if their homeworld ever got captured or invaded. He got older and was put in another specialty class for commanders called "The Coarse 500", lead by the infamous ARC trooper commander Alpha-14, one of 100 other prototypes for an elite clone force. There 500 of the best hand-picked clone commanders were subject to even more grueling training than any other clone officers and were encouraged to adopt names and personalities. After his training in "The Coarse 500" Tangar shifted out into battle.
First Battle of Geonosis[]
Tangar was present for the First Battle of Geonosis, as a part of a relief mission to save the remaining Jedi in the Petranaki arena from surrender of death.
