The Byager-class destroyer, literally translated as the Victory-class destroyer, was a class of destroyer produced by Wasskah Shipyards for the Hsskhor Syndicate naval fleet.
These ships made up the majority of the naval fleet, despite their relatively small size. They were often accompanied by Ashkrik-class fighters when sent on patrol or offensive campaigns, which proved to be a highly functional pairing. Thus, the Hsskhor Syndicate had little need for a larger class of starship. Rather, they insisted Wasskah Shipyards focus on constructing as many Byager and Ashkrik-class starships as possible.
After the Hsskhor-Kashyyyk Conflict, the Syndicate captured the Rakatan computers on Kashyyyk. This prompted them to spread farther into the galaxy, leading to the creation of the Infinite-class carrier. After 15 AFRE, two or three Infinite carriers would be accompanied by an armada of Byager destroyers.
