Brigand Squadron was a starfighter unit in the Alliance Fighter Corps, assigned to the Alliance Eighth Fleet. Flying BTL-A4 Y-wing fighter/bombers, the members of Brigand Squadron were tasked with tactical and strategic bombing missions to support the Rebellion's operations. Early in their service, the squadron was also called upon to establish and hold stellar and atmospheric superiority against Imperial fighters, but was relieved of this duty after the introduction of T-65 X-wing squadrons throughout the Alliance Fleet.
