The Bormea Sector Post-Imperial Government was a provisional government[1] put in place in the Bormea sector following the Galactic Empire's defeat at the Battle of Endor, at the hands of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[2] The government lasted for only a few months[1] before the New Republic was formed in its place. The government's capital[2] was the traditional Bormean capital world,[1] Chandrila. During its brief existence, the Post-Imperial Government was led by Chancellor Mon Mothma, a Chandrilan native.[2]
Prior to the government's formation at the Galactic Empire's end, many worlds in the Bormea sector were ravaged by the Galactic Civil War—surprisingly, one such world was not Chandrila, which was outspoken against the Empire's cruelty.[2]
