The Border War, also called the Second Galactic Civil War, the Core World-Hutt Space War, the Sith-Jedi War and the Jedi Crusade, was a major galactic conflict which took place during the Conflict era.
Origin[]
Before the war began there was no major galactic alliance. Many systems were independent, while a couple regional unions still existed. The greatest of these unions were the Core World Alliance and the Hutt Empire. With both the blocs undergoing economic hardship the two sides had formed a non-aggression pact. However, legal differences threatened to tear the pact apart. The Hutt Empire's economy hinged on the slave trade. On the other hand, the Alliance was strongly against slavery and protect the rights of sentients.
