The Bontormians were a race of amphibians native to the Mid Rim planet of Bontormia.

The Bontormians were 1.5-meter-tall froglike humanoids with mottled celadon skin and black eyes.
Society and culture[]
Bontormians could work for any affiliation and occupation, and could speak in a language which consists of frog-like croaks. They could also speak Basic. They shared their name with the Bontormian klesplong, a type of musical instrument from their homeworld. They were one of the 5 million sentient species (alien races) known to the Empire in the galaxy.
History[]
The Bontormians were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient amphibian species. They evolved on Bontormia, a swamp planet located in the Bontormia system within the Bortele sector of the Mid Rim. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 20,000 BBY and 15,000 BBY, during the Great Manifest Period and settlement of Trailing Sectors. It fell into the area of space known as The Slice. They shared their home sector with the Hypotrians, the Jin, and the Ultaarian Greenbacks. It became a part of Separatist Space during the Clone Wars. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was up to 10 million. Their homeworld became a part of Darth Krayt's Sith Empire in 137 ABY.

Fookooey was a Bontormian announcer at Corpo the Hutt's extravagant culinary contests who worked alongside his partner, who he nicknamed Doc.
