Old Republic era

Bibi D'callo, previously Bibi Jotto prior to her marriage, was a female Cathar who served in the Republic Army and later the Republic Strategic Information Service during the Third Galactic War.

Towards the end of her career in the army, Bibi was pinned by an Imperial tank, permanently damaging her skeleton and leaving her with difficulty walking which resulted in her being honourably discharged from service. During her recovery, Bibi was approached by Frank Pad of the Strategic Information Service to take part in an operation to combat the Sith Empire on the industrial world of Voryle.

She accepted the position and relocated to the neutral planet to lend her military experience to Republic agents on the surface, reporting directly to a Jedi who would be overseeing the operation.

By chance, however, the Jedi in question – the identity of whom had not been disclosed to the team beforehand for security reasons – was delayed due to pirate activity, leaving Isla Ahnkett – a former Sith assassin – to assume leadership by impersonating the legitimate Jedi agent sent by the SIS.

Bibi, alongside Bon-Yi and Yagogg, served as one of Ahnkett's lieutenants in the Cobbled Terentateks street gang – a proxy force created to combat agents of the Sith Empire on Voryle – and developed strong feelings for the Chiss, though sadly those feelings were not returned.

In an attempt to both protect Isla, Bibi engaged Sith Lord Sera Artofen in combat, only to be mortally wounded in the process and ultimately creating the window of opportunity Artofen needed to escape capture.

Bibi was later resurrected by Isla in 28 ATC when the Chiss came into possession of the Four Bound Spirits, powerful artifacts that allowed the owner to perform unimaginable feats with the Force. The act of ripping Bibi's essence from the Netherworld of the Force created a wound in the Force.

Following her resurrection, Bibi became Samantha D'callo's head of security and the two became romantically involved, albeit discreetly given D'callo's status as Voryle's monarch.

In 29 ATC, Bibi successfully protected Samantha and escorted her into hiding during a coup launched by a coalition of Samantha's rivals who were backed by the Sith Empire. Alongside her old allies, Bibi kept Samantha alive and helped remove "King Drahm" from power.

Immediately afterwards, however, Bibi requested Isla and Zhavi's help in committing ritual suicide due to increasingly disturbing influence of the cemetery where she had been resurrected. Realizing Bibi was going to go through with her plan no matter what, Samantha proposed to Bibi – having rejected Bibi's own proposals many times for political reasons – and the couple were married in a brief ceremony near the cemetery.

Correctly speculating that her return had upset the natural order of things, Isla and Zhavi called in Benjamin Lambert to analyse the situation, and after agreeing that Bibi was likely correct in her assertions he used the Four Bound Spirits to reverse the process Isla had used to resurrect her, "killing" Bibi at her own request and successfully repairing the wound in the Force.

Bibi's death – coupled with the death of her Trandoshan friend Rissessk – led to Samantha abdicating her position as queen, passing the role on to Patrice LaLenna, who commissioned a statue of both Rissessk and Bibi that was erected in Yonmouth South.
