The Benevolence was a modified Providence-class Dreadnought in service to the Confederacy of Independent Systems Navy during the Clone Wars and later the Rebel Alliance Navy and New Republic Defense Fleet during the Galactic Civil War. During the Galactic Civil War, the Benevolence was commanded by Quarren Vice Admiral and later Admiral Gilan Kirkaag, who formally served in the Separatist Navy. The vessel often served alongside the Dawn of Liberty and was present at the Liberation of Monix, where it played a critical role by carrying many of the soldiers and vehicles used in the ground assault. Following the Liberation of Monix and the destruction of the Dawn of Liberty, the Benevolence became the headquarters of the 43rd Infantry.
