Ben Skywalker was the only child of Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker. He was born in 30 ABY, a little less than a year after the end of the Stellar Imperial War.
Ben joined the Jedi Academy on Coruscant at the age of five. He was followed by Nilla Solo, the daughter of Ben's cousin Jaina Solo, in the next year. Two years after that, Allana Djo and Verayan Solo also joined them at the Academy. The last of the group was Xander Horn, the only one who was not related to the others by blood. However, their parents were all close.
In 43 ABY, Ben was on Hapes with his friends; Allana's mother Tenel Ka was the Queen Mother of Hapes. Boba Fett attempted to kill Tenel Ka, in the employ of Tenel Ka's vindictive and ambitious grandmother, Ta'a Chume. Boba succeeded, but he had been wounded by Tenel Ka before making the kill, and Ben finished him off with a blaster rifle before he could hurt anyone else or collect the bounty.
Ben graduated from the Academy in 47 ABY.
