The Battle of Sith Landing was a battle fought between the Rakata Mure tribe and the Sith-blooded Kûskûshnwûlanjattsisottoikut that marked the start of the Sith-Rakata War of 4987 BBY.
Fought roughly a mile north of Sith Landing—a Montane forest clearing in which lay the wreck of the Derriphan-class battleship Koshottoi—the Battle of Sith Landing saw a force of five hundred Sith soundly defeat a Rakata coalition force eight times its size. Possessed of Force-sensitivity and advanced technology, the Sith handily routed the Rakata and drove them back to their walled city-states in the Murese tropics, initiating a counter-invasion of the Rakata holdings that lasted until the war's end several standard months later.
