The Battle of Shola was a massive battle between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to restore the Republic. The fighters were provided by a minor battle led by Grand Moff Tarkin against a forming fleet of Corellian Corvettes and other various ships scheduled to attack Anaxes. The admiral of the fleet decided to cleverly launch all of its fighters and bombers to wipe out the entire Imperial Fleet by picking the ships off one by one. There was approximately 174 X-Wings, 100 Y-Wings and 48 B-Wings launched by the Rebellion. Tarkin, with his fleet and extensive knowledge, launched all the starfighters he had, to square them off, plus covettes to do the heavy work, and Star Destroyers to kill enemy Corvettes that threatened to wipe out his fighters. If more frigates showed up he has Hypervelocity Gun standing by, and if more Battleships or Destroyers came, he had more Ships ready at a local Space Station in a nearby Asteroid Field. At first, ther Rebellion Fighters terminated a Star Destroyer, but then half of the Rebellion fighters were annihilated, so was the Rebellion Admiral. So many Rebellion men were killed, that assaaistance from Mon Mothma was nessessary to even off the fight with more forces. The factions both eventually killed most of each others ships except for their Command Ships. The Battle is noted as the biggest battle of fighters ever in star Wars History.
