The Battle of Mon Cala was the final decisive orbital battle fought in the Galactic Civil War that decided the fate of the New Republic in galactic affairs and the Empire-at-large led by Counselor to the Empire Annabelle Nakamura. With a successful counteroffensive launched by the reunited Imperial Military, the New Republic recalled the bulk of its remaining Defense Fleet and fought against the Imperial fleet gathered by Admiral Crystina Mith.
