The Battle of Harth Gool was an engagement between the Xoquon Sector Fleet and the forces of the Reawakened during the Nightmare War. The Dark Jedi fleet arrived at Harth Gool and launched an invasion when its planetary shields proved resistant to bombardment. Receiving Harth Gool's distress call, Tariun Sakaros took his fleet to the system to repel the invaders.
The Xoquon Sector Fleet quickly forced the Dark Jedi ships to withdraw, but the ground engagement was another matter. Several Vyrak Legionnaires had been deployed along with the usual Skavik invasion force. Tariun sent the 3rd Massassi Cohort and several other Royal Army units to eliminate the invasion force, but the Anzati were rampaging through a Heshoo city, slaughtering civilians and making for the city limits. Knowing that the clones would take days to hunt down and would cause untold casualties if they got loose on the rest of the planet, Tariun dropped the planet's shields and had his fleet's turbolasers shell the city, wiping out the Anzati and the Heshoos themselves.
Though she understood her brother's decision, Queen Rin Sakaros was livid that the Dark Jedi had forced his hand and caused the deaths of thousands of innocent Heshoos. The Battle of Harth Gool was the catalyst which led Rin and Vos'elk'eetash to employ Sith alchemy to create the Anzat hounds and Shadow Massassi.
