The Battle of Had Abbadon was a devastating military engagement between the forces of the Sith Order of Decreto under the command of Darth Wyyrlok and the forces of the Nebulax Empire under the command of Jack Nebulax.

Up until this point, the Nebulax Empire had been largely free from the threats posed by the greater galaxy, but with the arrival of the Sith fleet in 59 ABY, the Imperial fleet realized that an involvement in galactic affairs was approaching, but not before a bloody fray.

The Sith arrive[]

When the Sith arrived at Had Abbadon, the citizens of Had Abbadon fled into underground bunkers that had been designed to save the population from any Rebel bombardment during the Galactic Civil War. The Sith fleet, consisting of over one-and-a-half thousand Sith warships, headed up by three Decreto-class Super Star Destroyers, approached Had Abbadon from behind its third and fourth moons, engulfing them in their shadows.

With the true enormity threat revealed, the New Imperial Navy formed itself into a protective line around Battle Spheres Alpha and Beta, with the Palpatine-class Star Dreadnought Palpatine in the center of the formation. Even with this awesome firepower at their backs, the personnel of the Imperial fleet still shuddered. The Sith fleet, headed up by three Mega Star Destroyers, was one thing they had never expected, or wanted, to see; but they all held their ground.

The battle begins[]

The battle began with the approach of two of the Decreto-class Super Star Destroyers, covering the flanks of half of the Krayt-class capital ships, leading them head-long into the central mass of the Nebulax's fleet.

Concurrently, the third Decreto-class came in from behind, leading the five hundred NX-02 Planetary bombardment-Destroyers into orbit of Had Abbadon itself. The bombardment was immense and terrible, killing many, but the bunkers to which the majority of civilians fled held.

At that, the Imperial forces expanded their line like an inflating balloon, bringing Palpatine into the battle but keeping the Battle Spheres in the center. Battle Sphere Alpha focused itself on the main Sith fleet, while Battle Sphere Beta waited for the third Decreto-class that was still in orbit to come into range.

Second stage and cease-fire[]

Now the battle entered it second—and most devastating—stage. The three Decreto-class Super Star Destroyers unleashed their Mark I space fighters, which began to swarm over the weakened Imperial line, causing havoc and destruction.

The small profile of the fighters made it difficult for Nebulax's warships to target them, leading them to fire randomly in the sky in the almost vain hope of hitting anything. This tactic proved surprisingly effective, and the Mark I losses began to mount, but so did the New Imperial Navy's. In addition, the TIE starfighters of Nebulax's forces, which had until then been under repair, launched to engaged the Sith fighters.

As the loses began to pile up on each side, the third Decreto-class Super Star Destroyer, which was in orbit of Had Abbadon, came into range of Battle Sphere Alpha, which had begun to aid Battle Station Beta. The battlestation's massive composite beam superlaser ripped through the Sith warship, tearing it in two. Vast chunks of space debris were blown far away by the explosion, many into the already debris-filled battlefield above the planet. Large amounts of debris reined down upon Had Abbadon's already-damaged cities.

Darth Wyyrlok, seeing the destruction of one of his Star Destroyers, was determined not to lose another, and order his helmsman to lay in a course for the Battle Spheres. Tearing through the battle zone, the Decreto-class wreaked havoc amongst the forces on both sides, destroying many ships that had not the time to escape the path of the massive super ship.

Once the Decreto-class came into range of the Battle Sphere Alpha, it fired a massive volley into the side of the sphere, causing it to tilt on its axis. Smoke poured out of the battlestation and many small craft could be seen attempting to escape. A second volley hit an unshielded portion of the battlestation's northern hemisphere, ripping a portion apart and causing decompression throughout the station's northern hemisphere.

Wyyrlok, satisfied that the Battle Sphere was disabled, fired a single proton torpedo at the Battle Sphere. However, it impacted upon a large piece of debris which had previously been blown away from the battlestation. As the large piece of debris broke apart into many smaller pieces, it flew out in all directions, with many pieces flying at Wyyrlok's flagship. Fortunately for Wyyrlok, his shields held, and the debris was pulverised upon them. Battle Sphere Beta, however, was not so lucky, and was struck by most of the debris, causing horrific damage throughout the ship. But it remained functional and, already damaged after collecting survivors from Battle Sphere Alpha, jumped out, towing Battle Sphere Alpha alongside.

With the Battle Spheres no longer in the battle, the two Decreto-class Super Star Destroyers turned upon the Palpatine-class Star Dreadnought, which was inflicting serious damage upon the Sith. The Super Star Destroyers, flanking Palpatine, fired volley after volley upon the Star Dreadnought, which returned fire. The shields held on both craft, but Nebulax knew that Palpatine's shield wouldn't hold for long and sent word for an immediate cease-fire. Wyyrlok received the communiqué requesting a cease-fire, and invited Nebulax to his flagship.

Aftermath[]

With both the New Imperial Navy and Sith fleets heavily damaged, Nebulax arrived on Wyyrlok's flagship to discuss the terms of the cease-fire. Both knew that the battle had been devastating for both sides, but both also knew that if the Nebulax Empire continued to fight, Darth Abeonis himself would lead his own fleet to Had Abbadon, and the loses would only continue to rise.

Knowing this, Nebulax haggled with Wyyrlok to get the best deal possible for his people. He managed to keep his empire at its previous size, not being reduced like the Mando'ade Alliance would later be, but it was still reduced to a semi-dependent state. An alliance was formed, and to show his respect, he leased them Battle Station Beta.

The Nebulax Empire suffered, and the citizens of Had Abbadon deeply hated the Sith Order of Decreto and their forced alliance with it. Nebulax managed to prevent any uprisings, but the strain on the Nebulax Empire following the battle would eventually lead to a series of struggles that would split the empire apart.
