The Battle of Feldirjo was the collective name given to a series of engagements in 91 ABY on the planet Feldirjo, through which the Golden Empire conquered the planet.
The arrival of the Empire on the world was greeted with immediate attack by the nearest Ossaki. While Rin Sakaros's Massassi warriors repelled this threat easily, it demonstrated that the Ossaki would be more easily impressed and persuaded by martial superiority than be reasoned negotiation. She therefore allowed the Ossaki time to band together, assembling her own forces for war. Ossaki projectile technology did not extend beyond bows and catapults, and the Massassi requested permission to fight with only their own melee weapons. Encouraged by her brother Tariun, Rin conceded, although she insisted artillery batteries be set up to destroy any catapult projectiles.
Over the following eight days, the Empire made war on the Ossaki. Some of the Massassi were more than half a meter taller than their enemies, and, armed with riot shields and their signature electroglaives, they made short work of the Ossaki. Rin herself entered the battle at one point to challenge an Ossaki phalanx by herself, and succeeded in massacring them to a being. The accompanying battalions surrendered immediately, and proclaimed Rin an avatar of their death god, Kejriko.
Rin's status as the "avatar of Kejriko" preceded her across the battlefields of Feldirjo, and many Ossaki in the last few days of battle not only surrendered preemptively, but even joined her side to fight their fellow Ossaki. The war machine continued to gain momentum, and by the time the fighting ended on the eighth day, Feldirjo was under the control of the Golden Empire.
