The Battle of Eriadu was an engagement during the New Sith Wars. The forces of the Galactic Republic faced those of rogue Sith Lord Darshkére at his industrial center, Eriadu. The Republic, confident in its victory due to the strength of the Seventy-Second Republic Battle Group and the presence of the Crescentia and hundreds of Jedi, engaged Darshkére's fleet, only for Vedya Gasald's war fleet to emerge from hyperspace and trap the Seventy-Second with interdiction field technology; Gasald and Darshkére had joined forces, and the Republic was caught by surprise. Grossly outnumbered and unable to escape, the overwhelming majority of the Seventy-Second was slaughtered in the battle; the Crescentia was lost with all hands. Only a handful of survivors escaped to nearby friendly systems, including Pelagon.
