The Battle of Dantooine was the final battle of the Great Jedi/Sith War. It was fought on Dantooine in both land and space, and there were massive casualties on both sides, including the deaths of Jedi Master Truman Tycho and Dala Parkson. The Sith warlord Darth Onyx, leader of the Sith empire, was also killed in a duel with Jedi Master Kama Entwallx. After news of Onyx's death circulated through the Sith army, Onyx's second in command, Tamper Cox surrendered. The Battles Storyline was later Archived in the great Jedi Library, but then mysteriously vanished five years later. At the same time Cox had also somehow vanished the day before his execution.

Sith Installment[]

Since the start of the War, the Sith Empire had been hiding out on the little known world of Dantooine. Dantooine held one of the largest Sith Temples in all the Galaxy at the time, as well as one of the largest Sith training academies. Here at Dantooine, the Sith were able to send troops and receive battle reports without ever being caught by the Republic. For the longest time Jedi Scouts have been baffled of the whereabouts of the Sith stronghold. The strong holds location was finally revealed when Jedi Master Truman Tycho was searching through databanks on a stolen Sith prison-ship. He came upon the coordinates for the ships last destination which stated that the ship was originally headed to Dantooine. Truman believed that Dantooine was a Prison Colony, not a fortress, and that that is where many Republic Prisoners of war were being held. Truman asked the Republic to send a Jedi Rescue squad to hopefully free the prisoners.

Republic Rescue[]

When the Jedi squad arrived, they soon learned that Dantooine was the primary Sith Fortress, and Darth Onyx's Sith Academy. Staying out of site from sentries, squad member Kama Entwallx called for a massive Republic Assault force to attack Darth Onyx's fortress. As soon as the comlink was turned off, they were spotted by sentries and were fired upon. Republic General Brady Pots, who was part of the Squad, was killed in the hail of blaster fire.

Space Attack[]

As Republic forces arrived, they were met by a fleet of Sith warships. As the Republic frantically tried to get their transports to the ground, their warships were bombarded by enemy cruisers. Republic frigates were demolished by enemy bombers. Even though the Sith warships were prevailing, their star fighters were falling one by one, thanks to the much more highly skilled Republic fighter pilots. With the Republic Pilots help, most of the Republic Transports safely made to the ground. Soon, Republic forces began to take the upper hand in space, and were able to destroy several large flagships. Once again thanks to Republic Pilots and Cruisers, almost all of the Sith fighters and frigates were destroyed. Soon, the Republic was able to land several warships filled with troops and tanks o the planets surface. The Sith war fleet was now utterly destroyed.

Ground Assault[]

Unlike the Space Assault, the Sith did not even once gain the upper hand in the Republics Ground Assault, even with the help of their Sith Knights. Even though Sith troopers were able to take down a few Jedi, like Truman Tycho, they still were losing. Many outer walls and turrets were destroyed by Republic Artillery, which allowed their troops to flow in and dominate any Sith platoon that they encountered. Republic tanks also laid waste to the fortress's outer walls. Onyx, as a last resort, sent out his Elite Sith Knight squadron to counter enemy troops. Like all the other troops however, the Knights failed. Soon Troops were flowing in to the Academy chambers and the Sith Temple where Onyx was meditating. When some troops entered Onyx's chambers, he smoothly killed them with his lightsaber. Following them was Kama Entwallx. The Jedi Master and Sith Lord then engaged in a lightsaber duel. The duel progressed through the main chamber area, meditation room, and the final leg of the duel, the Holo Room. Seeing that battle was merely a game for Onyx and not a life or death duel, Kama called up on the forbidden Dark Side of the Force.

Using this Dark strength, she was able to defeat Onyx with a killing blow. Soon, news of Onyx's death spread through the Sith army and eventually came to the Sith Command Fortress, where Tamper Cox was remotely controlling troops. Before he could respond however, the Army Tower was bombarded by Republic Artillery. Cox escaped just in time, but seeing the futility in the battle, called for a retreating surrender. The Sith Temple, after being gutted of Holocrons and valuables, was also then destroyed. The Republic had won the war.
