Long has my family taken the backseat on our own world. Long have we failed in our obligations to our people. Now, no more! I, your new Basileus, will keep the promises my ancestors once made to you, my brothers and sisters! Long may Eranatia's purple heart beat proudly with the life force of our civilization!
Romanus Lujanis accepting the return of the Basileate to House Lujanis

The Basileate of Eranatia, also known as the Lujanis Empire, was the official Ethereal Demesne government of Eranatia, under the governance of House Lujanis as an Autocratic Demesne. While it was one of the earliest Demesnes to arise, coming about around the same time as the Galactic Republic, the Basileate quickly entered a period of political turmoil as a result of the Demesnes' internal warfare, and thus, the House of Lujanis was soon "relieved" of their direct governmental power, leading to millennia of rule instead by House Valdayn of Luctanem.

The Basileate initially appeared to be a promising member of the newly-formed Diet of the Ethereal Demesnes, achieving a quite distinct, artistic culture of its own and a military capable of protecting their system and economy more-or-less capable of self-sufficiency. But, during the early warfare between some of the Demesnes and certain unintegrated non-Demesne worlds, Eranatia fought with the Noctoren Imperium. Noctorem was entirely too strong of a military power for the Eranatian armed forces to defeat, and so, the House of Lujanis was bested on the battlefield by the House of Attix.

However, House Attix did not control Eranatia for long; the Kingdom of Luctanem's House Valdayn offered House Lujanis an agreement for aid. Luctanem would launch a campaign to liberate Eranatia, and in exchange, House Lujanis would officially retreat to private life, taking a back seat in politics, and legally turn over the throne to House Valdayn. Reluctantly, the Lujanis leadership agreed, and so, Luctan forces launched a retaliatory invasion against the Noctoren occupiers, driving them out fully within the year and installing the Valdayns on the Basileate's throne.

It was only thousands of years later, during the Galactic Civil War, that Eranatia was finally returned to House Lujanis, as King Arius Valdayn willingly gave the throne to the Lujanis heir, Romanus Lujanis, during the restoration of the Ethereal Empire. Following this, Eranatia finally fulfilled its original expected fate as one of the cultural and artistic centers of the Demesnes, with its military taking a reduced priority and its economy being heavily-regulated to preserve the Eranatia System's natural beauty.
