Basicization, also Basicisation, referred to the process by which foreign words, names, and phrases were modified and adapted to make them easier to pronounce, write, or read in Galactic Basic Standard and Aurebesh. An example would be the Sith word nwûl-kaar meaning "peacekeeper,"[1][2] the Basicized version of which would be "nwulkaar."
