Wa wanna coe moulee rah, jeedai?
—Bargon Antivic, doing business with an emissary from the Galactic Republic.

Bargon Antivic, also known as Bargon the Hutt, was a Hutt working as an information broker, living on Stoopa Ootmian.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Bargon was the only Huttlet of Imig Antivic, born on Nal Hutta in 200 BBY. As the rest of his kajidic, he was forced to leave his home in 120 BBY, when a conflict erupted between the Kavardi kajidic and them.

He and his closest relatives fled to Tatooine, where they due to their poverty were forced to take substantial loans from Jabba the Hutt. Bargon, barely out of his childhood at the age of 80, once again fled in order to avoid borrowing money from someone he knew would kill him if he didn't pay, eventually ending up on yet another planet controlled by the Hutts, Klatooine.

Career[]

For 20 years, he worked as a "financial advisor" for a commerce guild, secretly embezzling funds and running smuggling operations on the side. In 110 BBY, he invested a large amount of money in a company selling evacuation and emergency technology. This would prove to be a fantastically wise decision, as a rarely sever meteor shower caused a disaster on a nearby planet, during which the company was the sole supplier of the gear which the planet's population so desperately needed, causing them to earn a fortune.

By the early weeks of 98 BBY, Bargon had managed to gather the large amount of 2.500.000 credits, buy a GR-45 medium transport and hire a small cadre of loyal Klatooinian bodyguards, among them Drekk Azalus. He was now richer than any member of his poor kajidic had ever been, and decided that it was time to move on.

A moon of his own[]

Loading all his possessions, and a few items that didn't belong to him, he travelled to Tatooine, wanting to show the others that he wasn't the failure most of them had thought him to be. However, this wasn't possible, as he upon arrival discovered that the kajidic had been dissolved, most of the kajidic's members killed in petty squabbles, and that his parent had died in a speeder accident.

As heartbroken as a Hutt possibly could be, he left Tatooine for the second time, travelling to Diyu, a planet in the middle of the Shag Pabol, literally slave road, connecting Teth and the glorious jewel, Nal Hutta.

Once there, he found that the planet was in a deep financial crisis. In a way only a Hutt could, he made deals. Plenty of deals. One of them was with a Gran going by the name of Ask Tharrus, who had lost all his possessions, save for one, by investing heavily right before the crisis hit Diyu. All he owned was a small moon, amusingly enough named Stoopa Ootmian, orbiting the planet, which he had won in a game of sabacc. For nothing but a quarter of the celestial body's original worth, he sold it to Bargon.

The Hutt soon made the barren moon his home. It wasn't much, but it was his. Among other things, he reconstructed the only building as a small palace, with Jabba's home in mind. He also hired several servants, and began to set up business. This time, he wasn't going to smuggle or embezzle. He was going to trade information.

The operation worked surprisingly well, and the revenue increased his fortune even further. His clientele included pirates, smugglers, corporations, other Hutts.. even the Galactic Republic had need of his services every now and then.

Personality and traits[]

Uma ji muna.
—Bargon during his Huttlet days, to his parent.

Bargon was an unorthodox Hutt, holding both traditional values and new concepts high. Unlike most of his brethren, he didn't hold money above all. Most of the time, that is. He did, among other things, love his parent. That in particular made him different from the rest of his kajidic, from which he always desired respect.

However, he also displayed more.. Hutt-like characteristics. He was greedy, although not as much as, for example, Jabba Desilijic Tiure. He had little or no respect for laws and legal systems, and were proficient in using them for his own means.

He was very intelligent, but preferred not to show it to others.

Talents[]

Hi chuba da naga? Finitez cetez detox? What do you want?
—Bargon, trying to communicate with a spacer using various lingua francas.

Due to the fact that Hutt biology tend to make combat and such rather limited, Bargon found himself forced to learn other things. He spent much time during his youth studying, learning the basics of hologram forgery, often using his skill to entertain himself and his customers.

During his many years, he learned many languages. Among them were his own native Huttese, Bocce, verbal Pak Pak, Aqualish, Gamorrese and Galactic Basic Standard. His multilingualism benefited him greatly, as many of the shadier individuals he had affairs with used these languages.

Behind the scenes[]

Bargon's first name is a Huttese word, meaning bargain.

The Hutt and his home are based on Jib Kopatha and Void Station, respectively.
