[He was] an abomination with a silly name.Bhikkhu Bo pokes Ussej Padric Bac and his family name[src]

The Bac family was a Force-sensitive bloodline of Humans from Alderaan that played a prominent role in the history of the galaxy. The family descended from House Baatch, a noble Alderaanian house during the era of the Force Wars. The Bac family first rose to prominence during the early days of the Galactic Republic, when Bacs were involved in the early political decisions of the new galactic government.

In the millennia that followed, the Bac line continued to play a role in Alderaanian and galactic politics. During the First Cold War, Senator Alcor Bac was elected Supreme Chancellor of the Republic and was responsible for the expansionist policies that led to the Great Hutt Wars. Other Bacs of that era included Artemis Bac, who was married to Supreme Chancellor Relana Isolde Tanoor during the pre-Hutt Wars Alsakan Crisis; Ahdam Bac, the first agent of Sector 13; and Adrian Bac, the first Bac to become a member of the Jedi Order.

The Bac line continued its galactic prominence through Aiden Bac, Adrian's son. Descending from Aiden was Ussej Padric Bac, a Jedi Knight who discovered the Bendu Order and became the Shaman of the Whills. Ussej's grandson, Bendu High Priest Ussej Padric Bac III, was a driving force in the Great Sovereign Crusades, when he launched a war against the Jedi that inadvertently led to the Sith nearly seizing power in the galaxy.

Behind the scenes[]

The Bac family was created by author Brandon Rhea, the Head Administrator and a role-player on The Star Wars RP. Though originally created for Rhea's fan fiction series, the Alternative Star Wars Saga, they were introduced to The Star Wars RP when Rhea created his first role-playing character, Ussej Padric Bac. It has since gone on to include over ten other role-playing characters, with four other authors. Bac family members have appeared or been mentioned in all five role-playing eras on the site, becoming a major part of its continuous mythology.
