Biography[]
Avabadund Tarkin, nicknamed Ava, was born in 358 BBY and studied at a boarding school on her homeworld. An extremely intelligent child, she graduated from a university on Bethars at seventeen years of age. Returning to her parents' estate, she lived their until she married Admiral Vigilius Jjannex in 340 BBY. After moving to her husband's homeworld of Sivonaex, she quickly became active in her new family's affairs. By 337 BBY, she was already being considered for Senate. However, her husband was killed in a fight against pirates in 336 BBY and information surfaces that she had hired an assassin droid, 3X-AK2R about the same time.
In reality, she had hired the assassin to destroy the leaders of a separatist organization called the J-Y3 Underground and a Phindian gangster named Leffiza Dserra. After carefully manipulating the events, Avabadund persuaded the survivors of the resistance and Dserra's gang to serve her and she organized them into the illicit J-Y4 Union. In 331 BBY, she convinced representatives from the Galactic Republic to help finance a fuel station in the Jjannex sector and the construction of Veight Station was begun. Further investment from the Banking Clan saw to it that the station was completed early in 327 BBY.
Avabadund moved to the station before it was completed and used it as leverage to gain her organization some legitimacy in the eyes of the Republic. At the same time, she and the J-Y4 Union was locked in a battle against the Black Sun for control of Jjannex and the surrounding sectors. She had sent numerous assassins against Underlord Onnrek Fropter and was finally forced to accept the help of 3X-AK2R on whom she placed the blame for the fall of her political career. The assassin succeeded in killing her enemy and the Black Sun was forced to back off and allow the J-Y4 Union to control its desired sectors. For the remainder of her life, Avabadund worked to grow and maintain control of the J-Y4 Union and advance the interests of the Jjannex and Tarkin families. When she died on Veight Station in 232 BBY, the J-Y4 Union was inherited by her grandson, Daniel Tarkin Jjannex.
