Atairis-Deta was the second planet in the Atairis System and the capital planet of the system, housing the system's government and Baron Administrator.

Description[]

Terrain[]

Atairis-Deta was an arid planet, incapable of supporting a wide variety of plant or animal life. While it was home to huge forests mainly comprised of only one type of tall pine tree as well as magnificent mountain ranges formed during a period of violent volcanic history in the planet's history.

However, the majority of the planet is made up of dry, cracked ground similar to that of a desert, which cannot support any forms of life at all. As a consequence, the planet is incapable of providing food for itself, having to rely on trade from other planets to survive.

Flora and Fauna[]

While Atairis-Deta may have not been able to support may forms of life, some hardy species managed to evolve and survive. The Parassi and the Acreppo were two of these species, and the latter was tamed by colonists to become docile beasts of burden. The Parassi seem to live in packs deep inside the forests, and are not believed to be very dangerous.

The main type of plant found on Atairis-Deta is a hardy type of tall pine tree that grow in large clusters somewhere south of the capital city. These trees live in the shadow of the mountains, barely living off the otherwise sparse landscape.

History[]

Early Colonisation[]

Sometime in galactic history, the planet Atairis-Deta was colonised. The capital city was buit by the colonists and remained its capital until at least 22 BBY.

Locations[]

Atairis-Deta Capital City[]

The capital city of Atairis-Deta was built in the middle of an arid desert. Surrounded by an enormous wall and protected by an energy field, it housed the Baron Administrator's audience chamber and personal quarters, which were shared by the Baron's Aide.

Culture[]

Politics[]

The Atairis System was governed by a Baron Administrator, who was elected by the people and served for a maximum of six five-year terms, and who presided on Atairis-Deta in its capital city. The Baron was very powerful but the system was not quite a dictatorship; in dire circumstances, the elected government had the power to remove the Baron Administrator from office.
