Astrouine was a desert planet in the Outer Rim territories. It was located in the little known Delanni sector, which neighbored the Minos Cluster and Elrood sector.
Nearly two millennia before its latest discovery, a Sith Master and his apprentice had fled an internal Sith conflict on Korriban, and fled to Astrouine, there they formed their own small community of warrior people known as the Antiri.
Much later, the ruins of the Antiri temple were found by Darth Lucid when he arrived with his master, Arden Shan. Darth Vader attacked and killed Shan, taking on Darth Lucid as his secret apprentice.
Discovery[]
Astrouine was discovered around 1,960 BBY but was rarely visited because of its sheer remoteness from known hyperspace lanes. It was the home of a Sith sect known as the Antiri, who inhabited the planet until about 1,730 BBY when the clan suddenly disappeared. The planet was later lost to historical records, due to a mysterious series of computer glitches at major astrogational record systems across the galaxy in 460 BBY. Jedi Knights later attributed the glitches to a Sith attack though the culprits were never caught. Fifty-six planets in total were rediscovered, yet Astrouine remained hidden until 3 BBY when Darth Vader discovered the ruins while hunting for the Jedi Master Arden Shan.
