Armor & Gear[]
The armor and gear used to protect military personnel was made available in stock to order by various authorized military officials and personnel. Resources were vast but limited to the defense budget, and thus restrictions were placed regarding the allocation and distribution of the armor. Restrictions were also placed on the types of armor available, as it had to comply with regulations of uniformity and safety— select individuals (especially non clone troopers) were allowed to wear non standard issue armor as long as complied with regulation.
Clone trooper armor & gear attachments[]
Clone Trooper armor was the armor that was meant to be used by clone troopers— and therefore accustomed to the Jango Fett DNA Clone Template. These assets include, clone trooper armor sets, gear and attachments commissioned from various suppliers as part of the cost of the Galactic Republic military expense, and managed by military officials and the Republic Intelligence Bureau— more specifically the Universal Military Resources Committee and Military Budget Committee. Many of these suppliers, such as BlastTech Industries, worked very closely with the Kaminoan armor smiths, to ensure there was modularity and compatibility with other military instruments. One such example was making sure the blasters and attachments were compatible and optimized for functionality with the heads up display (HUD) in a clone trooper's helmet. There were typically two phases of clone armor, as it was thought that various upgrades and improvements needed to be made to the original phase.
Jedi Armor[]
Some types of armor were used by Jedi Generals. They were made by the same manufacturers but fitted various different sized and allowed for a greater range of maneuverability. The Jedi also thought that —in the eyes of the clone troopers— wearing this armor makes them more relatable and closer to them.
