Assault on Orto Plutonia was a minor battle in the Clone Wars. It took place in the Outer Rim world of Orto Plutonia, in the Orto System.

Prelude[]
The Galactic Republic's Army Command Center lost contact with Orto Outpost, a base on the frozen Outer Rim world of Orto Plutonia. The Republic dispatched a force of clone cold assault troopers, led by Clone trooper Captain Rex.

When the task force reached the Outpost, they saw everyone was killed, but there were no blast marks. They then found a broken glass with a purple liquid coming out. According to the medic, it was a virus released by the CIS. Scouts later reported seeing CIS droids in the area. SUddenly, they were attacked.

The Battle[]
The snowtroopers managed to quickly overrun the attacking droids in thew base. On the outside, there were Talz villagers who became part of the CIS, while most were Republic. The rogue Talz charged, killing droids and clones alike, but they were shot down by sharpshooters before they reached Rex and the rest of the troopers. With no warning, the droids and Talz then retreated. In the distance, a group of Talz was coming towards the base. The troops prepared to fight, but then the Talz didn't attack. They made a treaty and went to the Separatist base.

The troops left for the droid base only to find that it was a trap. Many clones and Talz were killed in the first few minutes. But then, a clone suicided by taking some thermal detonators and ran into the middle of the droids and rogue Talz. In the resulting explosion, the droids and rogue Talz were wiped out.
