The Arrestor II was the first of the Arrestor II-class star dreadnoughts constructed by the Imperial Navy starting in 6 BBY. It would become the flagship of Imperial Chancellor Yogar Xeran until his death in 0 BBY at the Battle of Yavin (OOM's Timeline.

Description[]

Dimensions[]

At 19,000 meters long, and 3,500 meters long, at the time of construction it was the largest warship in the Galaxy and in the Imperial Navy. It was a symbol of the Galactic Empire's power. The dagger shape was a newer design, and it retained the Imperial-class type command bridge, and it possessed a massive cityscape on the surface which served as gunnery observation areas and for the point-defense cannons.

Crew Requirements[]

Nearly 19 times the size of standard Imperial star destroyers, 303,500 Imperials were needed to crew a single one, and that isn't counting the storm troopers on board. An entire section of the ship was dedicated for crew recreation. Engineer quarters were near the reactor areas, pilot quarters were near the hangars, and crew quarters were scattered all over the ship. Being assigned to the Arrestor II was considered an honor, as only the best got assigned to the flag ship of the Imperial Chancellor.

Hull and weapon systems[]

The main hull of the ship was covered in titanium-reinforced alusteel, but by 1 BBY, the ship was replated with stronger quadanium steel.

The ship had 9 main weapon batteries, 6 on the dorsal side, and 3 on the ventral side. In each battery there were 3 octuple barbette heavy turbolasers, and 1 octuple barbette heavy ion cannons. These weapons formed up the core of the Arrestor II's anti-capital ship weapons.

Smaller weapons included 500 XX-9 turbolasers and 500 NK-7 ion cannons, with 1,000 point-defense cannons and 50 concussion missile launchers rounding out the main armament. Auxiliary weapons included the 25 Phylon Transport Q7 tractor beam projectors, and the 6 gravity well projectors added in 0 BBY, just in time for the Battle of Yavin

Propulsion and shielding[]

Powered by a single K1 Primary-hypermatter annihilation reactor, and 4 auxiliary reactors, the ship was able to fully power its shields, weapons, and any other systems with ease. Shielding was provided by 6 Endor Drive Yard shield domes, which served a duel purpose of sensor scanning. 2 were located on the command tower, 1 was amid ships, 1 was in the ventral area, 1 was forward, and 1 covered the engines

Complement and hangar bays[]

Equipped with 388 TIE line ships, with 192 TIE/in interceptors, 96 TIE/sa bombers, and 48 TIE/br boarding craft. All of these ships were divided into 4 hangars with 84 ships each. The hangars were located on the underside of the ship in the darkened areas. A few small VIP hangars and cargo hangars also were located there, but they were almost unseeable until you got close to them.

Special rooms and troops[]

As flagship of the Imperial Navy, it had several key features that made it different then others of its class. At the bottom of the ship near the ventral hangar bays were the Chancellor's quarters, which had a holo projector capable of reaching members Imperial High Command wherever they were. Inside this room, which had windows looking out into space, was a tank full of aquatic creatures, as Yogar Xeran was always interested in aquatic life. Near the bridge, there was a conference room so all of his captains and high officers could meet and devise strategies.

History and service in the Empire[]

Construction[]

After submitting initial plans to Endor Drive Yards, they responded with a large design capable of taking on dozens of Venator-class star destroyers. Yogar Xeran approved the design, and ordered the construction of 2 ships, the Arrestor II, and the Executor. After completing the Arrestor II, in 4 BBY he gathered his entire legion and many citizens of the Empire to witness its commissioning.

Today, my loyal soldiers and citizens, we gather here to witness the commissioning of a new ship. Many of you have probably seen an Imperial-class ship, but this is different. This ship is nearly 20 times the size of those, and any ship in service at this very moment is tiny in comparison. Today, we see a ship, that will bring peace, and prosperity, to the galaxy!
—Imperial Chancellor Yogar Xeran

4 BBY[]

After personally selecting all of its crew members and officers, the ship set out to complete training exercises in the Outer Rim. It quickly destroyed dozens of pirate ships. The Republic was amazed and terrified at the same time of such a large and powerful ship, and quickly began designing a response.
