Arkoan Fai was a Mandalorian bounty hunter-turned-Jedi Knight. He was killed on Mandalore during a battle with the terrorist organization Red Dawn.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Arkoan was born on Mandalore in 4 ABY. He became a Mandalorian Protector at the age of 16, under the command of Fenn Shysa. It was discovered that he was a Force sensitive, and fled the planet on pain of death in 23 ABY.
Bounty hunting days[]
Arkoan soon became a bounty hunter, and one of the best in the galaxy before the Yuuzhan Vong War. During the war, he volunteered his services to many New Republic systems, becoming somewhat of a hero. In 26 ABY, after successfully defending the planet Manaan from a Yuuzhan Vong attack, Arkoan was contacted by a Jedi named Tarc Rethcoe, who wanted the Mandalorian's services.
Feud with the Jedi[]
As he partnered along with Tarc, Arkoan realized how much he had to blame on the Jedi. If it weren't for the Jedi, his people would still be a force to be reckoned with. His anger seething, Arkoan used the small Force-ability he had to learn of the dark side. He was an apprentice, of sorts, to Tarc Rethcoe, and would soon inherit Rethcoe's feuds. The two clashed with the Jedi, especially Bryn Fulcron on a number of occasions.
Conversion[]
During their final battle on Dac, Bryn forced had seen die, and wanted to blame the Jedi for their deaths. In reality, he was too good a man to be held down by the dark side. seeing this, he abandoned Tarc Rethcoe and the Red Dawn to become a Jedi. He was present on Zonama Sekot at the war's end.
Final sacrifice[]
Arkoan trained himself for six years and became a Jedi Knight. In 36 ABY, he joined in Bryn Fulcron's crusaders, in order to bring Tarc Rethcoe to justice. The Crusaders first stop: Arkoan's homeworld of Mandalore. Even though Boba Fett was disgusted by Fai's presence, he tolerated it on the means of getting all the help he could. Arkoan gave it all too, giving his life to protect Fett against a legion of Dawn Bringers. After the battle, Fai was given a warrior's death, as Fett proclaimed him “a protector for life.”
Talents and abilities[]
Arkoan Fai was a large man. He used a red double-bladed ligthsaber during his times with the Red Dawn and two sabers, one green and one blue, during his time a s a Jedi. He frequently rode wingman to Bryn Fulcron on many missions, most notably the Battle of Selvaris.
