Arewsa Solo was a female Corellian Human and a member of the House of Solo. The youngest child of Corellia's queen, behind her elder siblings Jacen, Rubi, and Jedossen, Arewsa expected to have little involvement in the Corellian Empire beyond attending charitable events for her elder brother when Jacen became king. She married Boriga Dyden when she was relatively young. Throughout her young adulthood, she was friendly with Nawsa Arodion, who was close with her brother.
Less than a year after her marriage, Arewsa lost Jacen, Rubi, and Jacen's children in an accident, catapulting her to second in line for the throne behind Jedossen, who later became king. As Jedossen continued as a bachelor, Arewsa accepted the reality that one or more of her three children—Satir, Galera, and Corsica—would likely succeed to the throne. Arewsa had no desire to become queen, and asked Jedossen to formally bypass her in the line of succession.
In 1,385 BBY, Satir and Galera were assassinated on Commenor; despite Nawsa Arodion's best efforts to save Galera, Arewsa and Boriga had to remove her from life support. In the wake of their children's murders, they grew protective of Corsica, though it was obvious that Corsica would now succeed her uncle. When Mali Darakhan became Lord Protector of Corellia, Arewsa gladly supported his mentorship of Corsica.
Arewsa and Boriga became concerned, however, when Corellia News Service reported that Mali had taken Corsica hiking on Salco's Folly along with Nal and Kadelle Chun, two accused smugglers. When Mali brought Kadelle as his date to the 1,383 BBY Crown Ball, Corsica greeted Kadelle like an old friend, and Arewsa managed to be courteous, though she later chided Corsica privately. After Jedossen pardoned the Chuns and Kadelle elected to stay on Corellia, working as a refugee ombudsman and dating Mali, Arewsa accepted Kadelle as part of Mali's life and allowed Corsica to interact with her.
