Anyala Orterra was a Cathar Female Sith Marauder who became a dark apprentice during the Galactic Cold War.
First a Jedi Padawan, she was tempted to the Dark Side by Darth Machaon in his attempt to assassinate a Jedi Master by order of Darth Icarius.
History
Childhood
On 3.660 B.B.Y., Anyala Orterra was born into a family of very honorable hunters in their tribal society. At an age before she could even walk, she displayed a rare affinity in the Force, being able to levitates toys right into her hand or juggling them with the Force. This sparked the Elders of her tribe to seek contact with The Galactic Republic and The Jedi Order and was taken to the Jedi Temple on Tython at the appropriate age.
Teens and Adulthood
Her extraordinairy powers in the force manifested itself fully during her teenhood. She was exceptionally skilled in the use of Force-Telekinesis, even to a point where it looked like second nature to her. Seeing her walk around the temple reading levitated books and holocrons became a common sight.
At the tender age of 16, Tulan'Jokko, a Twi'lek Jedi Master, took Anyala under his wing. Tulan'Jokko's philosophy was that Padawans best learn the travails of using the Force through firsthand experience of the galaxy. Learning the knowledge of the Jedi, Anyala managed to become an outstanding student to Master Tulan, but somewhere the principles of the Jedi way tended to be in opposition to her natural catharian tendency and she applied the principles of the Code to her satisfaction, much to the dismay of her master.
When on a mission to find traces left behind by Darth Nox' aftermath, her master became the target of Lord Machaon, a Sith Lord, and his apprentice Althea. By subversion and Force-projection, Lord Machaon soon discovered the waivering loyalty of Anyala towards the Jedi and would later use her as an axis to kill her master. However, by the end of the Taris mission, Lord Machaon failed to turn Anyala to the Dark Side and refused to commit such a horrid crime.
However, Lord Machaon got his second chance on Quesh. succesfully corrupting Anyala's mind with projections and Jedi contradictions, turning her against her master. She killed her master before she realized what had happened and started to believe that the Dark Side of the Force was stronger than the light. Lord Machaon than took her under his wing, much to the dismay of his current apprentice at the time, Althea, who he also had a romantic relationship with.
The attention Anyala got from Lord Machaon spouted fits of jealousy from Althea. By the time Lord Machaon eliminated the competition and ascended to Darth status, his relationship with Althea soured to the point where she betrayed him only to be stopped by Anyala. Due to Lord Machaon's teachings, Anyala was able to counter Althea at ever turn until victory was assured. A feat she, at first, saw as unsurmountable. Finally, by killing Althea, Anyala fully surcame to the Dark Side.
Personality and traits
As a dark apprentice, Anyala was often been described as twisted by a large number of people, even her own master. Darth Therakiel speculated that this was due to the fact that she was taken to the Jedi Temple at a very young age, along with the horror of killing her own master and later shedding tears when she killed Althea, this implies that Anyala grew to disdain the fragility of the light side and how it affected those still living.
Anyala valued herself delighted in striking fear with her first impressions. An aspect of Anyala's personality was also her greatest weakness; arrogance. She truly believed she was invulnerable at times, attacking recklessly against powerful opponents such Jedi Masters and other Darths.
She also found great pleasure in the suffering of others.
Powerful in her own right, but expressed a great deal of loyalty, courtesy and fear towards her master, did his bidding without defiance, looked out for his personal well-being and always had complete faith in his abilities.
Force and Lightsaber skills
The Force
Her affinity to the Force gave her the ability to propel her opponents in various directions without so much as a gesture. She was able to freely manipulate the Force by pure thought.
Although she was unable to create lightning herself, she was able to let the Force in her own body flow, effectively redirecting lightning hurled toward her.
The Lightsaber
Anyala’s preferred weapon of choice was a single bladed lightsaber. She also had the tendancy to collects the lightsabers from her fallen opponents, either they be Jedi or Sith.
Anyala was unique during combat in the sense that she used the force for lightsaber combat, in other words; she would stand stationary and motionless, as her lightsabers fought for her.
As she killed more and more Force-users, her lightsaber collection broadened and increased the number she could use in combat.
