As an adult, Annabelle Nakamura wore her personal attire throughout her life until she replaced it with her own variation of the Grand Admiral uniform in 3 ABY. Because the Corellian Defense Fleet had no uniform restrictions for officers higher than captain, she wore this attire. After her recruitment into the Republic Navy after the start of the Clone Wars, Annabelle continued to wear this attire, choosing it over the Republic military uniform given to her.
Her decision to don this attire drew concern from her superiors in the Republic Navy and later the Imperial Navy, and influenced her assistant James Lovegood to also do the same, though he did not adopt personal attire until she became Grand Admiral.
Design[]
The attire consisted of a long-sleeved white coat and single clasp around the centre waist that held it shut. There was also a red jeweled brooch on the collar. The length of the coat extended to the ankles, while the sleeves were split from the shoulder to the elbow. Underneath the white coat was a sleeveless blouse with a dark blue waistcoat. The trousers were white and had dark blue garters. Gray thigh boots were also part of the attire, they were coloured black and detailed around the knees. The attire also had a pair of black forearm length gloves with gray trimmed cuffs.
Due to requirements, a rank insignia plaque was fitted onto the attire, placed above the left breast. The insignia of an Admiral bore three red tiles above two blue tiles, and later the Imperial Navy changed this to six red tiles over six blue tiles.
