Animus was a Shi'ido male and an exile of the Glorian Empire.
Biography[]
Originally a soldier in the service of the Glorian Empire, Animus was selected to serve as a test subject for a weapon of destruction that would be used in the Glorians' invasion of the galaxy. After being put through excruciating procedures, which were overseen by the Glorian scientist Janus, Animus broke free from his confinements and escaped from the Glorian Empire, becoming one of the first that would later be known as "the Glorian Exiles."
By 11 ABY, Animus had ended up in the ethereal realm known as Praetus and was enslaved by the ruling "Sith gods." After a confrontation with Luke Skywalker, Animus managed to escape from Praetus and followed Skywalker to Tatooine, where he faced off with the Jedi Knight again in the pits of Gorga the Hutt's palace. During the fight, Skywalker managed to take control of Animus while the Shi'ido was in the form of a winged dragon and influence him to break out of the palace. After escaping to the Lars Homestead, Animus conceded defeat to Skywalker and the two went their separate ways.
