One of the worlds I visited in the Demesnes before joining the Alliance was a place called Fentar. Excellent fighters, the Fentaris. I learned and practiced dozens of martial arts and unarmed fighting styles with them.

The Anaxom of Fentar, also written as the Anaxate of Fentar, was the government of the entire Fentar System and some largely insignificant other interstellar holdings. It was, in spite of being one of the Democratic Demesnes of the Diet of the Ethereal Demesnes, not really a democracy. In fact, it was something of an oligarchic republic, governed and effectively owned by the League of Warriors.

Founded late into the lifespan of the ancient Ethereal Empire, the League of Warriors recieved the official approval of the Ethereal Family to settle and govern Fentar and the surrounding star system. They had hoped that the League, with its values centered on practicing, perfecting, and teaching the martial arts to all who would willingly come, would be able to contribute to the protection of the Empire's populace against possible invasion by the Rakata.

In time, after the Empire and the Family both disappeared, the League expanded its goals to include the defense of less well-equipped worlds, and thus, its military forces expanded and the Fentari state came to protect several other territories outside the Fentar System, some of which it colonized and owned. In time, the League came to be known as protectors of civilians during interplanetary conflicts and pirate raids, though they rarely actually joined in on any sort of offensive action.

In later years, this policy also changed. By the time of King Carolus Valdayn of Luctanem's crusade against the Sith during the New Sith Wars, the League was happy to offer the Diet the help of a detachment of their best troops, the Sentinels of Fentar, against the "Sith menace". Following the end of the great peace that ensued as a result of the war's end and the Ruusan Reformation, the League and the Anaxom came to be a strong voice supporting the war effort during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
