Star Wars Fanon

Ama-Afk was a female Pweza princess of the Zechilles Empire that lived during the Clone Wars and subsequent reign of the Galactic Empire. Born the eldest daughter of Emperor Eor-Afk IV, although Ama-Afk was the only child to be born from the relationship that her father had previously enjoyed with her mother — his favorite concubine — before her demise, she nonetheless had numerous half-siblings because of the traditional small harem of high-born female consorts that was habitual for the exulted ruler of the capital planet Zechilles IX to possess and the princess counted Kak-Afk, Jisf-Afk and Ugil-Afk among her numerous agnate brothers. Despite her royal lineage, however, Princess Ama-Afk harboured no desire to rule and therefore forewent her position as third-in-line to the throne, an action that later protected her from the machinations of her power-hungry brother Ugil-Afk.

Delivered to her parents during the several decades that marked the formulative twilight years of the Galactic Republic, from a young age, Ama-Afk was proven to be an intellectual genius that her father worked hard to cultivate in the hopes that such intelligence would greatly benefit the Zechilles Empire. However, although she shared the same strong dedication to the government that her household had for so many centuries been charged with ruling, the princess would gradually reflect the developing negative sentiments for the Core Worlds that were festering throughout her people and inside her own family. Believing that the Republic Senate had ceased to function as a true voice of its constituents and instead dwindled into a corrupt institution that was irreparably hemmed in from bickering and corporate interests, Princess Ama-Afk therefore became a strong admirer of the defrocked former Jedi Master Count Dooku, a harsh critic of the Galactic Republic that was swiftly rising to become a rallying point for separatist ideals such as those that were harbored by Princess Ama-Afk, whose father had by then enrolled her into the prestigious Reena University in the Colonies to further her academic nature. While undergoing her studies in diplomacy between 42 BBY and 22 BBY, Ama-Afk attended a lecture series that her idol intended to give at the college during his time as leader to the Independant Movement for Self-Determination, which she herself later joined.[1]

When the deteriorated relationships between the Galactic Republic and the nascent Confederacy of Independent Systems, which included Zechilles IX among its member worlds, escalated suddenly into a period of open warfare that spanned the next three years, Ama-Afk and her clan were initial supporters of Count Dooku that believed he was right to challenge the corruption that was visible in Republic for all to see, but as the Clone Wars dragged on without pause, Emperor Eor-Afk IV developed increasingly disillusioned feelings for the conflict that his eldest daughter Ama-Afk did not oppose, having lost her half-brother Jisf-Afk during the Battle of Geonosis and later witnessed the arrest of Ugil-Afk after it was discovered that he had committed the ultimate sacrilege of their laws by betraying Crown Prince Kak-Afk to the Republic in an attempt to seize power for himself. However, although her homeworld was successful in its efforts to broker peace when the Grand Army of the Republic besieged Zechilles IX during the final year of bloodshed, when the Galactic Republic was suddenly transitioned from a democratic federal union to the Galactic Empire with the Proclamation of the New Order, the planet was subjected to brutal occupation. During the subsequent Imperial Era, Princess Ama-Afk was made an alleged "guest to Imperial hospitality" by Lord Zelo-Kilor — who Emperor Sheev Palpatine had installed the regional governor of the Zechilles system — who held her in his custody, using her as an effective hostage to ensure the compliance of Emperor Eor-Afk IV and his heir, Crown Prince Kak-Afk, although Aya herself remained a beloved figure amongst her peace. However, despite the suffering that their people were forced to endure under Zelo-Kilor and his backers from the Imperial Ruling Council, neither Ama-Afk's father nor her oldest brother dared to openly defy the New Order for fear of how resistance might provoke the Empire to retaliate with punishments inflicted either against the captured Ama-Afk or the hundreds of citizens that their despotic liege lord had enslaved, unlike her sister Irv-Afk, who instead fled Zechilles IX to join a rebel cell that had been formed by the former Jedi Anakin Skywalker, then later became an officer in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Despite her open defiance of the Imperial war machine, however, Irv-Afk missed and feared for Ama-Afk every day, although the Pweza people were ultimately motivated to rebel against the Galactic Empire after the death of Emperor Palpatine and destruction of the DS-2 Death Star II Mobile Battle Station during Battle of Endor marked the gradual collapse of the government that had held their star system in a choke-hold for decades, freeing the Zechilles Empire from the brutal grip of Lord Zelo-Kilor.

CountDooku-WordsofTruth

Ama-Afk attended a lecture series hosted by the Independent Movement for Self-Determination led by Count Dooku, as highlighted in a pamphlet by Ansibella Dellu.

During her years of attendance as a college student at Reena University, Ama-Afk became a passionate admirer of Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master and the leader of the Independant Movement for Self-Determination, as he expounded fierce messages calling for the many hundreds of star systems that had grown disgruntled with the Galactic Republic to depart from its stagnation, seceding to instead create a new intergalactic government that was freed from the corrupt mire that entrenched the Republic Senate. During the ensuing crisis that emerged from Zechilles IX and countless other planets tendering their official departure from the government that ruled from Coruscant to instead coalesce as the Confederacy of Independant Systems, Dooku was scheduled to make an appearance at Reena University during a series of guest lectures given at the Panos Lecture Hall that was advertised by a work-in-progress poster created by a fellow student named Ansibella Dellu. The subject of this poster, which declared Dooku a "voice of reason" amidst the otherwise useless bureaucracy in the Republic, was agreed on by Princess Ama-Afk, who believed the Serennian count to be a visionary that had shouldered the responsibilities tied with leading the galaxy to its salvation by making a heroic stand against the Republic, which she condemned for allowing its core values to be eroded to the brink on non-existence. Indeed, the Reena University was, like many academic institutions throughout the Inner and Mid Rim Territories, becoming an arena ground for the growing Separatist movement that young intellects like Princess Ama-Afk flocked to support and join after the inflammatory rhetoric that Dooku expressed during his condemnation of the Republic spurred them to political activism.

During her final school years, which aligned with the three-year-period of withdrawals that encompassed the Separatist Crisis, Ama-Afk watched as her father, finding himself the ruler to a population that shared the princess's own increasing restlessness and desire for change, ultimately withdrew the delegates that represented the Zechilles sector from the Galactic Senate and formally declared their allegiance to the Separatist Alliance as one of the earliest jump-over systems, a move that was celebrated by the majority of his population. In the face of this realignment, the Royal House of Afk grew closely aligned with the burgeoning political and military branches of the new government, the latter of which Ama-Afk watched her half-brother Jisf-Afk join as a soldier in the Separatist Droid Army.
