The Dark Side? Hah. I watched the Dark Side kill my parents. I don't want any part in that.
—Alu-mann Vissel

Alu-mann Vissel was a Human Male Force-user from Zonoma Sekot. He joined the Jedi Order, and fought in the Clone Wars under the command of General Ni Resh. He later fought as a general in the Rebellion, and helped train Jedi on Yavin IV.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Alu-mann was born on Zonoma Sekot, and trained to craft living Sekotan vessels. He also trained in combat, using a gaderffii his father acquired on an adventure long ago. His parents were killed by a group of visiting group of seven Dark Jedi after refusing to offer aid. Alu-mann miraculously escaped the Dark Jedi, then left the planet, and began to work in the Republic. He swore revenge on each one of the seven Dark Jedi that destroyed his home and his family.

Republic soldier[]

Alu-mann became part of an elite group working directly for the Jedi Council. He began to train under the Jedi, becoming proficient with the double bladed lightsaber. His group started doing simple missions, such as escorting threatened nobles on Coruscant, or settling a dispute on Naboo. They eventually proved their skill, and were given many difficult missions, many of them involving Dark Jedi. During this time, Alu-mann became skilled in lightsaber combat. During his time in the employ of the Jedi, he encountered several of the Dark Jedi, defeating three of the seven with the help of some of his comrades. It was during this time that he became friends with Dy-No-Myt, and acquired many of his possessions.

Clone Wars[]

Alu-mann was then assigned to the 72nd Sector Group under Ni Resh. He was co-commander of the Coursca Gem, along with Dy-No-Myt. He also led Mark Squadron. The first battle Alu-mann participated in during the Clone Wars was the Battle of Krashag. He led Mark squadron in the defense of Destiny. His next battle was on Sullust. Because he had a contact on the planet, he joined the infiltration team, flying his starfighter down to the planet.

During the later battle, he, along with Dy-No-Myt, disabled one of the anti-air turret centers guarding the planet. He then joined the battle in space. The next battle he fought in was at Aroonan. He led Mark Squadron in defense of the Recompense, which had been disabled by an ion barrage. He also fought in several other battles in the Clone Wars, such as the ones on Dahranihki and JBip. He led a clone army during the Battle of JBip, and led a wing of starfighters during the Battle of Coruscant. While serving in the 72nd Sector Group, he hunted down and killed two of the Dark Jedi he had sworn revenge on, one of them being Darth Devast.

Jedi Purge and Rebellion[]

Alu-mann managed to survive the Jedi Purge and a brief encounter with Darth Vader. He went to the Unknown Regions to search for his homeworld. While there, he built a pair of purple lightsabers. He later returned to the known galaxy. After talking with Garm Bel Iblis, he received a commission and became a general in the Rebellion. First, he led a Y-wing/commando squadron, Flaming Meteor Squadron. They preformed many daring raids, destroying ground targets on planets such as Aroonan, Sullust, and Xoran. Eventually, he was given command of a task force, with his flagship being the Nebulon-B cruiser Suprise. Also in his task force was the old Acclimator-class ship Happy Endings and the resurrected Destiny. During the Rebellion, he trained a Padawan, Arved Sdurenn. He left the New Republic military to help train new Jedi in Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order.

Alu-mann's strongest passion during this time was finding the leader of the Dark Jedi that killed his father. He found him - now a Dark Jedi hand of the Emperor - and fought him in a three-day battle across the face of JBip. He managed to defeat him after days of rigorous fighting.

New Jedi Order[]

Alu-mann helped train Jedi in Luke's Jedi Order. He fought in many major conflicts, including the Disciples of Ragnos crisis and the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, he was indispensable in helping confirm that Zonoma Sekot was not just a myth. At Ebaq 9, Alu-mann led High Flight Squadron, a squadron of XJ X-wings, into battle, destroying three squadrons of coralskippers. He also defeated four Yuuzhan Vong warriors in personal combat on the ground. After the discovery of Zonoma Sekot, Alu-mann convinced Sekot to allow the Jedi to bond with and create ships of their own.

After the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Alu-mann became Magister of Zonoma Sekot, and remained there until his death.

Talents and abilities[]

Alu-mann trained in double-bladed combat, and became very skilled at it. He could use a spinning flurry to attack multiple opponents at once. After the Galactic Civil War, he trained in the Jar'kai form of lightsaber combat, utilizing his pair of purple lightsabers. He also used the Juyo and Makashi lightsaber forms.

Alu-mann was skilled in many Force powers, but his strongest ones were Illusion and Move Object. Like many Force-users, he used the Force to prolong his life.

Equipment[]

Alu-mann carried a double-bladed lightsaber and a blaster pistol as his weaponry. He also had a hidden sleeve blaster. He also had a gaderffii that he inherited from his father. After his lightsaber was destroyed during the Clone Wars, he created a purple one. While at the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin, he created a second purple one, as well as a replica of his original one.

Alu-mann owned many droids, including I3C-85, MDT-16, Mark Squadron, and the eight droid pilots of the Coursca Gem.

He co-owned the Coursca Gem, along with Dy-No-Myt, and had an organic starfighter he made on Zonoma Sekot. He commanded the Suprise in the Rebel Alliance.

Personality[]

Alu-mann wasn't very expressive. He didn't talk much, and his face was always impassive. He wasn't without emotion, however - he was vehement when it came to the Dark Side. He also felt pain at loss of life, especially when it was a member of one of his fighter squadrons.

He was also very determined - he spent years tracking down the Dark Jedi that killed his parents.

Behind the scenes[]

Alu-mann is a character in the Star Wars Role Playing Game from Wizards of the Coast. He was originally a character in a trial campaign, which covers his early life and service to the Jedi Council. He was later introduced as a non-playable character in a different campaign, which has so far covered part of the Clone Wars. Certain details are subject to change, as the campaign is far from finished.

Due to his first campaign being a trial campaign, there are many ridiculous cameos and unusual happenings that have been removed from his story, such as his half-brother Seto Kaiba and fighting Darth Vader while being assisted by the Jawa Army With Stun Batons.

Jedi Trainer[]

To many, Alu-mann may look like Jedi Trainer, the unknown Jedi from Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. This is the intent; Alu-mann Vissel is Jedi Trainer.
