The Althmark dynasty was the ruling dynasty of the Galactic Empire before and during the Great Interstellar War, having led it for over nine hundred years.[1]
History[]
Formed from the Galactic Federation, a federal republic, the Empire that replaced was led by the last president of the old regime, Beorthram Althmark. He had been popular among the people as president for bringing stability to the collapsing Federation, and his rule was at first supported by the people. The first emperor's brutal purges and other repressive actions changed many of the people's minds, however.[1][2]
