Alternate Star Wars, written and created by Xen, is a second attempt at creating an alternate Star Wars galaxy. According to the author, the process of creating this will be both long and painful, so any interested readers will have to wait to read the final product, which could contain spelling and grammar errors which will require rectification. The author's goal in this project is to rewrite the entire Star Wars storyline, starting roughly around the events of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace which will begin the Clone Wars. The story will end approximately forty-five to fifty years after the events portrayed in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

The author has stated that he may rewrite the storyline so that it is a century longer, and that some events will take place before his storyline begins. Xen has stated that everything readers previously knew about Star Wars will change, and even though he is not George Lucas he believes he can tell an interesting story using his characters and galaxy, though everything was created by George Lucas.
