Altech Industries was a manufacturing company that produced droids and weapons for its clients.

History

Altech Industries was founded during the reign of the Galactic Empire by the Sluissi inventor Vasim Alazar. The company produced weapons for the Empire, although they gained a notorious reputation for being unstable and prone to backfiring.

Following the collapse of the Empire, Altech shifted its focus to producing droids so as to remain in business under the New Republic. At some point prior to 42 ABY, Altech Industries was purchased and became a subsidiary of the Talavos Corporation. Not long after, Alazar stepped down as CEO and was succeeded by the Gossam entrepreneur Xiri Gan.
