Show me the best pilot, the greatest warrior, the craftiest tactician, and I'll show you their downfall: me.
—Feral
Alpha-00, nicknamed Feral by his peers after ripping a battle-droid to pieces with his bare hands, was an Alpha-class Advanced Recon Commando who lived and fought during the Clone Wars, later becoming a bounty hunter, mercenary and general gun-for-hire.
Biography[]
Clone Wars[]
Alpha-00 was born on Kamino with the rest of the Alpha-Class recon commandos, born with an astounding affinity for technology, but also an incurable need for combat with anyone and anything. However, under the training of both Jango Fett, who took a liking to the clone, Feral was able to focus his aggression and his technological skills into a finely-honed weapon, and became one of the Kaminoan's greatest successes. He was a favored pupil of Jango, whom Feral considered the closest thing to a father he had, and the two became close enough for Feral to learn Jango Fett's code from the former Mandalore. Feral reluctantly accepted stasis along with the other Alphas until the First Battle of Kamino, where the ARC's made a name for themselves. Feral in particular was a sight to behold, blowing away droids with passive ease and, when he ran out of ammo, started ripping the droids' arms off and beating them to death with said arms, earning him his name.
Feral served admirably as a captain in the war, leading his fellow troopers—private and ARC alike—in a number of battles most would consider suicidal. During this time, he was able to befriend the Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos, no small feat given the NUll's animosity towards Alphas. It was believed that Feral's neutral personality combined with his free thinking and technical genius is what allowed the friendship. This link to the Nulls and in turn Kal Skirata would later allow Feral to fulfill his dream of becoming a Mandalorian, which he did shortly after Order 66. The ARC attempted to bring the Jedi he was assigned to in quietly, but was instantly rebuffed and attacked, forcing his hand. The Jedi soon lay dead, and when offered 'retirement' training new recruits, Feral decided his contract with the GAR was over, and left in quick succession. He traveled to Mandalore, where he linked up with Kal and the Nulls again. He then began training to become a Mando'ade (sun of Mandalore), as well as lending his help to the search for a full lifespan. A few years later, Feral had become an official part of Clan Skiriata, as well as a Mandalorian. He decided to follow his prime clone's footprints and became a bounty hunter, as well as a mercenary and bodyguard, anything that fed his love of battle really. He became known by a variety of monikers, such as "The Challenger" and "The Destroyer".
He was active in this fashion from roughly 15 BBY all the way to the Legacy Era, lending his services to whoever or whatever he could profit from in some way, Imperial, Rebel, Pirate, the list goes on.
Personality and Traits[]
Feral was often described as a cold individual who lacked sympathy for living beings or Droids. While this was often true of his enemies and his targets, Rogue did develop friendly ties to his partners and/or troops he served for a substantially longer amount of time with. He was calm, composed and hardly ever raised his voice in anger, simply taking the 'calm' approach—such as cracking the offending sentient/animal/droid's head into pieces with minimal effort and time. Feral was mainly a solo operative, but could work on or lead a team when necessary, excelling in practically anything he did. His leadership skills were summed up as "All action, little talk" by his employers and underlings, as the trooper communicated mainly in hand-signals or short orders meant to get to the point as per ARC operation standards.
The ex-captain was fluent in many languages, though his first and second were Basic and Mando'a respectively. He was polite if a little distant toward his superiors both in the GAR and as a mercenary, and could keep a straight face even in the most harrowing of incidents, such as having half his starfighter being blown from underneath him during one particularly bloody battle. The clone never discriminated anyone based on alliance or species, only by their actions and/or personality. He respected strength and prowess in battle, as well as 'efficient' leadership. After becoming a Mandalorian, Feral adopted their stance on war and how it could advance an individual to greatness, but also a respect for the elderly, and with time a soft spot for children and more sociable activities such as dancing, something he had never done before.
Feral had a penchant for collecting, customizing and creating armor, weapons and fancy gear, which aided him greatly throughout his life along with his skills in engineering and slicing computers. Feral was also a skilled pilot, able to fly straight into a sudden asteroid shower and emerge relatively unscathed. When you add his elite training in one of if not he best specialist positions and armies in Galactic history, it's no wonder Rogue became such an efficient gun-for-hire. Feral was also a capable tracker in every sense of the word, able to trace secret transmissions, hunt a single target across an entire jungle-planet and find his mark on a target in amidst a sea of other sentients. Besides these skills Feral was also an accomplished infiltrator/spy and a surprisingly shrewd businessman, so much so that a saying was made about his skills: "Feral doesn't work for people, people work for him".
As a youth on Kamino, Feral was once taught Jango's personal code by the man himself, taking the code to heart. The clone would make few changes to the original doctrine over the years, believing it to be a well-rounded approach to bounty hunting and such, but not necessarily military life where trust was often needed on the battlefield. The clone had no real preference in battle—although he was noted as a bit of a show-off when it came to big guns—and the same applied to his line of work: provided it was dignified and profitable in some way, any job was fine. Thus Feral found himself working as a bodyguard, mercenary leader, espionage agent, and at one point a Jedi Hunter, which he thoroughly enjoyed as his first real challenge in years.
