The Alliance of United Races, often referred to as the AUR was a powerful, democracy-loving union of species from the extreme fringes of the Outer Rim. It wasis one of the oldest governments that is still in full power today: it was established more than 15000 years ago. About 6 years A.B.Y., the New Republic ordered the AUR to disband its military and join the New Republic. The Alliance leader at the time, Sega 'Nodod, refused, and in return the New Republic declared war on the AUR. The AUR defeated the New Republic, and are to this day avoided due to the vicious blow they struck.
Background[]
The species within the AUR were extremely loyal to each other, and all species felt a strong bond with the other creatures. This had one exception, as the AUR's population of humans were a little uneasy with the Faldians, and vice versa. This did not, hoever, stop the two species from working together willingly. Many people of this union tought of all species not with their union as loners, and selfish ones at that.
Founded 15,000 years ago, the Alliance of United Races has changed little since then, other than adding more and more species to it. It was originally composed of Orkahanan, Plavbonians, and humans, but added more species as its creatures travelled, always in their giant CSX transport, a huge structure that could surround planets. The AUR only moved around the Outer Rim, which is why they never encountered any species other than their own until circa 10 B.B.Y., when their CSX transport pilots moved it further into the galaxy. They were successful at defending themselves from both the Empire and the later New Republic. The AUR was famous for its military and political power, and although it is relatively peaceful, the Alliance of United Races would attack any species or faction that proved threatening to them.
Species[]
Orkahanan[]
The Orkahanan were a small, reptilian race native to the planet Tolax, a hot, desert world with a methane and nitrogen atmosphere. They were easily recognisable from their round, cherubic faces and large, pyramidal shell. Orkahanan shells were brightly coloured, and Orkahanan wore their clothing and armor in the same colours as their shell was. It is also interesting to note that there were two subspecies, the Voug with curling shells and Ixetal with square, turtle-like shells. The Orkahanan were small in stature, but extremely long-lived, a life of 700 to 900 standard years was average for an Orkahanan. They had squeaky voices, and were regarded as "cute" by other members of the AUR. However, they were skilled warriors and frequentely Force-sensitive. One of the most famous Orkahanan was the Sith Darth Nigus.
Faldians[]
Faldians were the newest addition to the AUR. These feline humanoids were a wandering species. In appearance they had a combination of simian and feline features, but were in fact descended from large, bear-like cats. They lived for about 200 standard years, but many have lived longer lives, or as short as 60 years; longevity depended on the tribe of the Faldian. Faldians stood nearly three meters tall and weighed almost half a ton. They were relatively peaceful, but when those who they valued were at risk, they became extremely aggressive and brutal. Some of the most famous were Darth Rakjiidus and soldier of the AUR, Gargantum.
