I shape the harmony of songs and strings. Sure are my arrows, but one surer still has struck me to the heart, my carefree heart.
—Alabri, wooing the woman who became his seventy-eighth wife
Alabri, born Alabri Deriada, was son and second child of Patrev and Leoit. His elder sister was G'ye; his twin sister was Arpel was born only one minute after him. The twins were born in 818 BBY.
In his youth Alabri did not show the dark side tendencies of his sisters. He feared G'ye, but remained emotionally supportive of Arpel after she murdered her reluctant fiance. Alabri was supernaturally handsome, as a result of his Thayolen ancestry, and extremely charismatic. The popular young prince traveled throughout all the towns of Deriada. He was an unusually powerful man in a society traditionally matriarchal. As a result, many Deriada men, seeking to escape second-rate status in their culture, became his followers. Alabri's power, charm, and royal blood also made him the most eligible bachelor on the planet, among not only the Deriada but even the Mousa. Alabri became enamored with Mousa culture, and became an accomplished musician and a patron of the arts.
However, Alabri became obsessed with finding a wife he could consider his equal, and in 803 began assembling a harem that, by his defeat, was said to number in the thousands. This harem bore him innumerable children.
Alabri's first children, twin brother and sister Tinden and Telas, were born the following year. Alabri used the Force to program the nano-droids in all of his own children, ensuring they would be completely loyal to him and Arpel. Alabri's sons formed his own elite bodyguard, and his daughters formed a similar bodyguard for his sister.
Alabri's desire to enlarge his harem became all-important to him. He determined to possess every beautiful woman on the planet, willing or not, single or married. Fathers or husbands who stood in his way faced the wraith of his murderous son. Alabri allied with his sisters in subjugating the planet, forming the G'ye Cult with himself as the "god" of the Mousa. Under the Cult's law, all Mousa women Alabri desired were by right his, and any many who did not facilitate Alabri acquiring a woman he wanted was brutally murdered. Alabri also raided the Deriada villages for brides, although the villages were supposedly under the protection of Arpel. This led to bloody disputes between the army of Alabri and the huntresses of Arpel, but the twin siblings arguments over the matter never formed a serious rift between them.
Alabri was the most adapt of the three siblings at using the charismatic powers of the Force. It was said he could persuade anyone to do his will, even to commit suicide at his command. Despite his love for Mousa finery, Alabri retained the hunting and combat skills of his Deriada heritage, and trained his sons personally in martial arts.
In 782 BBY, Yoda, Ambrose Ius, Zorith, and Prince Algyd sent a thermal detonator-rigged rancor into the Cult's capital of Apoltemis. The resulting explosion was initially believed to have killed Alabri, but he actually survived. In 770 BBY, King Algyd drove Alabri out of the Thisspias system. Alabri then established a small empire in a pocket of the Deep Core.
